he always get's confused when i ask him how he got his name.

"why don't you just go find it?"

Hmmm, What a curious predicament. Though, If I might offer you a bit of advice. Stop worrying so much about names. Their primary purpose is to identify, but the absence of one can do just the same. Fixating on it will just cause you trouble.
Enjoy those things that you do have. Perhaps, if you give it time, your name will come to you.

But if it really bothers you, listen to Roland's advice. Go on an adventure, find your name. But do not forget, the journey is just as important as the destination.

If you don't know where to start, find someplace quiet, or some place you like to go. Keep your eyes open for anything new, or perhaps something old you've never really noticed before. This should put you on the right patth.

he doesn't get it. names that fit you aren't easy to come by. there are so many different names and the world is so big.

roland and i think very differently.

roland is the guy with the ripped sleeves and nameless has freckles! sorry for the confusion!
also roland is a trans*man and i would prefer if you refer to nameless using they/their pronouns, but nameless' interpretation is up to you!

maybe i should go looking for a name after all.. sitting around and waiting isn't going to do any good.

my planet is a small speck compared to the rest. i wonder which one i should go to first.

i should probably pack my bag before i go.. but i don't have much stuff as it is. only an apple, a mirror, a few books, and a ring.

is that enough? or should i leave now?

What are your options for getting more stuff? And can you bring along any other kind of help?

First thing: you also have a bag. Making sure you count everything is important at times like these - if you don't know how things are, you can't change them.

Philosophy aside I'd recomend getting a bit more stuff.
The apple is good food, and is the ring is presumably light and valuable without being easy to lose or steal. Books are also valuable, as well as useful, but they're heavy. So I'd think carefully about whether you really need them. Also, that mirror seems kinda fragile to be taking with you.
You should definitely consider taking some more clothes, at least a couple of litres of water, come kind of communications (a phone? a radio?), paper and pens/pencils, something edible and sweet, and a towel.

Douglas Adams was very clear about towels.
