((This is my first time starting one of these quests. Just a quick heads up.))

There's a girl lying on the floor, barely awake. She doesn't know where she is or even who she is. The only thing she knows is that she has a throbbing headache pulsating through her skull.

What's her first move of action?

The girl stood up slowly while clutching her head in her hands. She rubbed her hand on her head, finding a small little bump in the back of her head. Other than the bump she found, everything else seems to be all intact. No other such bruises or aches.

Once she assured herself that everything was still together on her and working, she glanced around the room. The thought of licking the wall suddenly came to mind, but it was quickly discarded because she doesn't think she would get much nutritional value from the action.

Plus, as far as she could tell, the walls seem to be covered in dirt and something else that she can't quite make out.

She takes another glance around the room. The most she can make out is the wardrobe next to her and some rubble on the ground but nothing much else.

She touches the walls a bit to try and find a light source near her, but it was no luck.

how solid is that lock because this place looks like it hasn't been used in a while and if the wood in that wardrobe is rotting then you might be able to just break it open.
>>
No. 505812 ID: d6ef5d

So... there's no doors or windows? Just a wardrobe and some rubble? That's not good.

I'd suggest trying to open the wardrobe, but it looks padlocked. So unless there's a key or tool to break it with in the rubble, that's not gonna work.

Follow the perimeter of the room. There's gotta be a door or something somewhere.

Oh boy, looks like someone has been kidnapped by someone and stuffed into a shed.
There are two likely scenarios I know of that would involve this, one being straight-up murderous intent and the other molestation.
We are gonna try and guide you in such away that neither of these happen.
Now, for starters, search under those odd piles of green substance for a key to that lock. If that fails, go ahead and look for potential hidey holes.

The first thing she decides to do is check out the wardrobe and see how intact it may be. To her surprise, the wardrobe seems to be quite intact and the lock looks spanking new. There doesn't seem to be a dent or scratch on it.

The next thing on the list to do in her mind is dig through the rubble. As she dug through the rubble the only thing that kept popping up were rocks and random pieces of wood and some random metal wires.

The girl takes a deep sigh and gets up off the floor. She decides to walk the perimeter around the area. To her luck, the area isn't that big around so it was easy to go from one side to the next.

As she walked, she lay a hand on the wall in hopes to find something that her eyes couldn't depict. To her luck, she found something that seems to be a switch. She quickly turns it on in hopes the lights will flicker on.

As the lights flash on, the girl contemplates that her name may be "Violet". For some reason, she feels a bit uneasy about the whole thing, but she swings with it anyway. It's better than not having a name at all.

Her head still hurts and Violet still can't recollect on anything that happened to her. If she tries to think about it, her head just starts pounding more and more.

Violet shakes her head slightly, trying to adjust to the lighting as well as trying to stop the pounding even for a second. She glances around the area around her.

There's a boarded up door next to a pile of rubble. In that pile, she sees something glimmering. Violet quickly runs over and starts digging through eventually finding a key.

Violet grabs the key and heads over to the wardrobe with high hopes. She slides the key into the hole of the lock and twists the key ever slightly.

A loud clicking noise could be heard.

Eureka! The lock comes undone and Violet busts opens the doors of the wardrobe.

Inside contents: Knife, Crowbar, Shovel, and a random key.

Pocket the key (...you do have pockets, right?), improve a way to carry the knife (waistband, belt?), and take the crowbar to break the boards off the door.

We'll double back for the shovel if you need it- it's too inconvenient to carry the crowbar and shovel at the same time, and the crowbar is a pretty versatile multitool and weapon by itself.

Violet looks through the wardrobe, grabbing the key. Luckily, her skirt were built to have pockets. She shoved the key into her pocket and then grabbed the knife next.

As she examined the knife and herself, there's no way she would be able to carry the knife with her with nothing but pockets and no sheath to protect herself from the blade. She quickly puts the knife back and head off through the room.

It was odd that the nails were on the inside instead of the outside of door. Maybe there was some other way a person could escape in this room, but, it didn't matter anymore. If there was a person with her before she woke up, the person was gone and Violet's by herself with just herself and the crowbar.

Violet walks up to the door and starts tearing it away with all her strength. For her luck, the wood was rotted and easily breakable.

Well, if we can only carry one tool or weapon at a time right now, the crowbar is the most versatile.

Keep an eye out for rope or cloth though- anything you could use to make a belt, or a shoulder sling.

You see anything to either the left or the right? If there's not difference, just pick a direction and go.

Before Violet left the room, she decided to go back to the wardrobe to see if she could think up a way to carry more than two items with her for each time she may bump into something useful. When she got there the first thing she noticed was that it was empty. Where could have the items that were there have gone?

Good thing she got the crowbar out and the key.
From further examination there wasn't really anything more of use around the room.

So, she heads out.

Violet gets out into the hallway and looks at both ends. Both ends look exactly the same from the point where she stands. The only difference is there's no door on the right side of the hallway.

Violet takes the chance of walking over to the door at the end of the hallway.

As she walked along, each time she would pass a point, doors appeared to the side of her and when she walked passed them... They would just disappear.

Violet cautiously goes back to the disappearing reappearing doors. She lays a hand on each handle while slowly placing her head on each door to listen.
Each time she tried to turn the handle, the knob just wouldn't turn and the next thing she knows... The door is gone once again. It seems the only way to go is down the hall until the end.

After what seemed forever, Violet finally makes it to the end. In front of her face is a door but to her left side is also a door.

One is covered in blood while the other one is crisp and clean.

Since the door with the blood seems too intimidating towards Violet to approach it by herself, she quickly decides to go over to the door with the clean slate.

Every fiber of her being is bursting with hope that it will be the exit from this horrible place. She touched the handle and felt it turn underneath the palm of her hand.

She slowly opens the door peeking through the small crack she just made. Looks like the light is on but seems to be flickering on and off at times. The nerves in her body started to tingle with anticipation in hopes that no one would be on the other side of that door. To her luck, there wasn't as she slowly crept into the room.

Sadly, it wasn't the exit.

It was just a normal dirty room, with normal dirty stuff, with a normal dirty floor, and a bed drenched in blood.

Violet treks over to the bed warily. With all the blood she's seen so far in the few places she's been... This is the most she has seen thus far. A strange feeling of "Getting to the source" starts to wash over.

As her feet make it to the puddle of blood by the bed she can feel the splashing beneath her feet.

The blood's still fresh.

A chill runs through her body as she quickly nabs the key off the bed and jumps away from the area all together.

Violet's so shaken that she doesn't know if she even wants to check anymore of the room.

Violet takes a deep calm breath as she puts away the key into her pocket with the other one still tucked away inside. She glances around once more trying to build her courage up out of her throat and into her gut where it belongs.

She grips onto the crowbar as she realizes if she doesn't check everything, she may never be able to find an escape route out of this place. Violet takes a deep hard swallow feeling the lump in her throat go down. A breath of air escapes her lips. Her legs feel like lead that are chained to boulders. It feels like forever until she reaches the closet.

Violet stops in front of the closet taking a good hard look. The closet looks like a normal closet with a sliding door. Nothing unusual about it so far.

Her arms started to shake as she raised her hand up ready to slide open the door.

The door slides open with ease. Nothing but bloody strips of cloth are hanging inside of the closet that flood her vision.

Violet slowly uses her crowbar to move the cloth aside. She peers her head into the closet finding a completely new section of the closet.

Inside of that new section the walls, floor, and ceiling are covered in grime and muck. From the looks of it all, it looks like blood has been oozing out from the walls creating this mess.

Violet glances around the area some more seeing nothing but a lone window. She can hear something faint coming from that window. Violet can already tell that it doesn't sound pleasant.

The stairs beneath her feet start to crack and crumble. Flames start to flood the room in back of her. Violet can feel a small burning behind her back.

Her legs still ran down the stairs, a door coming into sight. It's a double door with a small light piercing through the crack. With a strong push, the doors open wide and engulfed Violet in a bright light.

Violet took a quick glance around. From the looks of it, on the right of the building it's an apartment building with broken windows and chipped paint. The building was old and the door has water damage upon the front, from what it looks.

In front of her were nothing but buildings upon buildings... Nothing really stood out to her as out of the ordinary. Just normal, old buildings surrounding the area.

The building to the left of her, however, wasn't like the other buildings. The building was old and it looked like a little shack in a huge city.

From the looks of it... Violet seems to be alone and everything seems to be deserted.

Wait...

She can hear humming coming from inside of the shack looking building.

Violet slowly creeps over to the house and pokes her head up to through the broken window.

A boy stands in the middle of the room just humming to himself. Sounds from the hums it's a lullaby.

Violet stays quiet for a second . She didn't really know who she actually was herself. The only thing she knew was that her name might be Violet.

"It's... Vie." She didn't really trust him completely so why should he get her full name? "But... Do you know where we are? I'm... sort of very lost."

The boy just smiles at her, "I don't know either. What I do know is that I'm safe."

Violet looks at him with a slight hesitation to ask anything else. She didn't know if she WANTED to know anything else from him. His eyes are closed and she didn't want to ask why they were. Seems like it was none of her business in the first place. She just met the guy.

Violet takes a deep breath and just comes out with it, "Have you seen any monsters... A bloody one in particular?"

"I'm sorry, I can't answer that straight. I'm blind, you see... But, I've been hearing activity around the city a whole lot more, if that helps."

>>506995
Violet ponders about this for a second and then asks while gripping the crowbar a little tighter, "Well... Then maybe you can help me with this. What do you mean by safe? Safe from what?"

There was silence for a moment before he answered, "This shack keeps me safe from the Summoned. It's enchanted."

Violet looked at him worried on what he meant. She processed all the things he said and asked, "Do you know what the Summoned are?"

There was a long pause before he answered point blank, "No."

>>507236
"All right..." That pause left an eerie feeling inside of her like she did something wrong with asking. Violet quickly shook it off, "Then... May I come in?"

"No, I think you should leave. This shack only works for me and me alone. If you come in or if I go out, the enchantment is gone. I want to be safe, you need to find your own haven. I think you might have left it."

Violet was very confused.

Violet felt conflicted. She didn't know if that place was haven or not. Inside of that room... Seemed like someone didn't like her very much from the look of it. All of the bad stuff didn't happen until she left the room. All this thinking did was make her head hurt more than it should.

"Hey... Then... If you can, can you toss any items out of the window that could possibly help me... Live in this city for the time being?"

"Yeah... I threw stuff out of here before and nothing happened. I'll give you something to help you," he tossed a small green bag out of the window. "This should be a good inventory for you. Skirts suck at holding things."

It seems he's not heartless after all.

The guy just kept looking in her direction as if contemplating something. A second passed before he explained, "I could hear something blowing in the wind, so I took a guess. I guess I was right." He smiled a bit.

Violet kept looking at him with suspicion but she didn't bother to keep asking about it. Blind people do have stronger senses if they work hard enough. She also didn't want to make him mad since he could possibly be more of help for her along the way.

"Well... Thank you. Do you need anything since you can't leave that shack?"

"Uhm... She calls herself, Yellow. If that helps."

There's a clothing store by her, a grocery store, a building with nothing on it but random broken lights, and more other random buildings she couldn't describe.

Violet starts to think about it for a second before she evidently went with the smarter choice at hand.

She heads over to the grocery store and walks in. The place looks old and intensely dusty. Some things were broken and the store didn't look like it was open for years, if not ages.

Violet poked her head around the store checking all the food items before putting some in her pack. For a store that's old, there seems to be a whole lot of good food that doesn't match the scenario.

Violet kept walking along the store, finding random things here and there... But, in the midst of all the items and junk, she hears a sound coming from the back room of the employee's only door.

Violet looks over at the door in contemplation. If that bang came from something other than human... All she has is random food from her bag, whatever might be in that room, and a crowbar. If it was an actual human, then maybe that person would be of some help if the person is normal.

Slowly, she went to the door and listened to for a moment for anymore sounds that may come. The sounds kept going but there was a different sound in the mix of the familiar noises that were happening.

Violet slowly cracks open the door to look inside before making herself known by whatever may be inside.

There was a girl tinkering with something and she kept cursing under her breath in the process. Violet thought she was a bit odd, but didn't make any sudden movements yet.

"H-hello...?" The small voice asks as the girl turned her head over to the door to see if she can see what was beyond.

"Well... This city sucks and like you, I think you're looking for a way out too. Are you... Yellow, by chance?"

The girl turned and looked at her, pointing a knife right in Violet's direction, "How do you know my name? Are you one of them too? Trying to pretend to be human so you can infect the other cities with your disgusting self to shout more proclamations of false truth?"

Violet shook her explaining, a bit confused on what in the world Yellow was spouting herself, "No... My name's Vie! I met someone named Blue and it seems that he's trying to find you. He just can't leave his shack..."

Yellow kept eying Violet, "Vie... hmph. You have a strange name for a color based city for us. Whatever, I don't give a shit anyway on who you are anyhow. Just... Take me to, Blue... Weird girl."

Yellow placed her hand out toward Violet, lowering her knife to her side. She actually wanted to be lead to Blue and she wanted Violet to lead, like a seeing-eye dog.

Violet couldn't help but feel a bit offended by this.

Violet made a face at her, as clearly, she didn't like her one bit or wanted to know anything else probably in the first place. She probably didn't care about anyone else but herself in the long run, it seems.

"...Promise you won't do anything if I take your hand to lead to him?" Violet glanced over at the knife.

"Tell you what, I'll do something better," Yellow tossed the knife to the side of her. A small clang! could be heard as the knife landed on the floor. "See? Now take me, Blue!"

"All right..." Violet grabbed her hand and started to bring Yellow along with her to the exit. "So... What were you saying about something infecting other cities?"

"You don't need to know, anymore. You're not one of them, just be thankful about that much. I took care of the one that I found already." Yellow was being a snob, that much was for sure.

"If you know ANYTHING, please, tell me. I want to figure out how to leave this city and what to expect. Anything at all would be VERY helpful, you know."

Yellow listened closely before she spoke up, "Fine, since you're SO pathetic and starting to beg me, then... Okay. I guess I could tell you something," Yellow took a deep breath and then released before explaining, "I don't know what they are or why they came here. I found one that infected a human... She kept telling me I'm fine, I'm fine... Tch, like I was going to believe such a freak. So, I locked her up and now she has no way of escaping. One down, who knows how many to go. Violet kept leading her out of the store while asking her random questions about the ones who has the infection from the Summoned.

Yellow kept glancing at her over and over again as she answered, "They're very easy to point out. They turn into something that's not even human anymore. Hopefully you don't run into any of them, I have a feeling you won't be able to take care of yourself." Yellow smirked, imagining the scene in her head. She wouldn't mind to get another girl out of the way. She just wants to be the only one.

Violet ignored her snarky remark and went onto another question, "What's your connection with, Blue? I mean... How long have you guys known one another and-" before Violet could finish, Yellow jerked her hand away from her's and ran up to the shack where Blue is.

Yellow went up to the window yelling in, "Blue? Blue, it's Yellow. I'm here..." she stayed silent for a moment before speaking up again, "That place didn't have what you wanted. I'm sorry, I tried, Blue." Yellow looked a little a pained as spoke those words.

All there was inside of that little shack was silence and more silence. Nothing came out of that shack and no one came to the window from inside of that shack. Yellow started to get worried and panicked.

"Where... Where is he? Blue? He should be here...!" Yellow looked through the window some more, not daring to go in. "I... I don't think he's here! BLUE!?" Yellow ran off without Violet in a huff.

((Violet felt like she wanted to get rid of her so she could be the only one around that's at least a female. She already locked one up, it wouldn't be too far off of a feeling.))

Violet looked through the window trying to find anything wrong with the scenery.

From seeing through the window. Violet couldn't really see anything different from the last time. What if he was in trouble inside of the house and the enchantment somehow broken while she and Yellow were gone? She didn't want anything to happen to him, he seems like a nice kid... For the most part.

Violet kept looking around through the window, trying her best not to jump through and look for him inside. It seems to be nothing but a dead-end of Blue's mysterious disappearance.

Violet kept looking through the window. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to see anything interesting or forcefulness inside of the shack. A sigh escaped her lips, getting a bit worried about him.

Violet gave up with the window and decided to look around the area. Maybe the perimeter would be able to help her find some clues.

As she looked around the shack, she noticed something a little off in the back. There's a door that could go inside of the shack. With a closer inspection... The lock's broken and it seems that someone forced the lock open to get in, from Violet's deductions.
