This is YzarcQuest, Someone cannot see themselves at this time, nor anything else for that matter, what seems like the best course of action?

Open your eyes, of course.

There still seems a distinct lack of anything in front of Someone, apart from a small ledge of black matter continuing out from under Someone's feet. There is also what appears to be a thin sheet of material fluttering off to the left.

Get the sheet of material if you can.
>>
No. 441750 ID: d6c330

Turn to better view the fluttering material.

Take stock of self. Observe your own body, attempt to move limbs, things like that.

Turning towards the sheet reveals the outline of a door and some intangible floating text with a similar sheet to the other side. Someone has the impression of having a regular humanoid body but cannot see any evidence of it at the moment, though they seem to be able to use it normally.

Reach out and try to touch the floating text. It kind of looks like it's on a button you could push.

Touching the button causes a sharp pain to Someone's eyes causing them to tunnel back into Someone's brain causing horrible death. Gruy appears with a disturbed expression.

Huh.

Well, Gruy, can you hear us? Tell us about yourself, this place, and Someone, please.

I am unsure of the specifics of my whereabouts, having been here for only a few hours, however stepping past the door into the nothing seems...unwise. People vanish after that. I do not know who that was. No one else has touched the button. I remember that I am on a quest for purple tangerines. What should I do?

Have you seen anywhere you might conceivably find tangerines, purple dye, or purple tangerines?

Have you seen anywhere at all other than this door?

A fruit peddler made the door open before, I do not know how. He may have some tangerines. The corpse is gone! There is nothing else. Only the door and the ledge. But I have not adventured very far.

I am too scared to jump and risk touching the button at the moment. I do not wish for my own eyes to kill me.

Remove your eyes first then. It'll be perfectly safe.

Removing my eyes sounds like a terrible idea. I am very tired. The effect of gravity upon my eyelids seems to be increasing.

I decide to rest against the side of the door. I can hear some kind of noise nearby when I attempt to rest...

After having a nice nap I wake up, hearing more noises nearby me just as I open my eyes. I feel well rested and ready for a hard day of questing and/or death.

Look, a green dot. Make friends with it.

The dot appears to be some kind of insect. It seems harmless and docile. There is also a giant metal arrow sign floating in the air. How this is possible is beyond me.

Clearly you are meant to eat the insect and feast upon its valuable proteins to synthesize purple tangerines.

My green stickish stomach rumbles at the thought of food, startling the insect and causing it to fly out of reach.

The insect descends hovering a short distance from me, I'm interested to note that the arrow seems to follow it.
>>

Hey look, the arrow's coming apart! Leaving pieces of itself behind as it moves.

Try talking to the bug. If there's no response, try to grab it.

"Nice buggy..."

The insect flies past me at speed, the arrow following it and heading towards me in a most concerning manner. I am not sure getting hit by it would be good for my health.

Ride the arrow like a mechanical bull.
>>
No. 442371 ID: 1c4fd8

I manage to jump onto and mount the arrow causing some minor injury to myself in the process. Upon doing so, the bug stops and yells at me.

"Oi lad, off me kroll! Valuable, ya know? Don't want your stink onnit."

The creature's method of speech is strange to me, and I am unsure how to respond.
>>

The bug stares back at me, as if expecting something.
