A few weeks prior to today, a young hero decided that life at home was far too boring and decided to become a full-fledged Hunter!

Unknown to them however, they will soon take part in the greatest adventure ever known before.

The Hero awakes to find the capital city moments away...

This just reinforces my belief that we should go for human.

Be nicely rounded so we don't get crippled if we decide to specialize, won't have to worry over much about getting in the grit if we try to be a mage, don't have to worry about being lost somewhere with no means of non-magical healing.

Not too stupid, not too bright, just average intelligence would fit us quite nicely to be honest.

Kinda a boring choice, though. Would rather play to strengths than minimize weaknesses. I'll say Finnarn, just because we don't get many aquatic type characters.

There, I've gone and handed in my forms. This place is loaded with would be hunters. The place is covered in decorations for the ceremony. I've read alot about the Hunter initiation party before but seeing it in person is amazing.

I'm at the MONORAIL STATION in the south portion of town, I can head to the Market Place, the City Square, or the Library from here.

Looks like the stage for the ceremony isn't ready yet. There are a few people setting up stands. Doesn't look like they'll be ready just yet. I could look around a bit but not much looks interesting here. The Capital House is just beyond the stage, but I doubt they would let me in yet.

I can explore another place and wait for the ceremony to being in the meantime.

Here we are at the Market.

There are a number of stalls selling a bunch of things.

There's a stand selling food, one selling Basic gear, One selling what appears to be potions, another selling something called "Augments"

Check the augments store first and ask what they are, then go to the potions shop.

"Yo, whats the deal with this stuff?"

"Eh, these? These are Augments! They let the user filter magic through their body for different effects.

Reading about technology is boring, I was always interested in the places around the world, not magical tools like this.

I'll ask him about them.

"Hey, So what do these things do? do they cost much?"

"Ah! glad you asked! They cost a mere 10,000 credits! there are three main types of augments,
Motors, Amps, and Gyros. Motors use magic to filter magic into muscles to increase strength and endurance, Amps amplify the magic power, and Gyros alters gravity around the user making them lighter and faster."

"Wow, that sounds awesome!"

Maybe technology isn't as boring as I thought.
Too bad these things cost a ton.

>>421680
Heh, yeah, I know a bit. It's common to know a bit. However, It's hard to focus it into useful forms with out a catalyst of some sort.
>>
No. 421700 ID: 0f408c

Welp might aswell add that to a list then. Check the basic gear shop and see if you can find anything interesting, maybe they have some catalysts for sale we could use.

> I was always interested in the places around the world
Cool, this is the most useful thing for adventurers!
What good in having muscles or semi-phenomenal powers if you don't know how to use them, right?

> Wow, that sounds awesome!
Indeed! The Gyro seems to be your kind of thing, but you need the license and a nice job before grabbing one.
Anyway, how much until the ceremony?

Oh, tell us more! What spells you know and what kind of catalyst you need?

Okay, It'll be time for the ceremony in a bit, we can check out one more stand before then.

If I could afford an augment, I would definitely get one if I could.

At the Basic Supplies shop there are a number of
items. Lanterns, Monster Baits, Throwing weapons, and Gadgets.

"You aren't planning on buying anything before the exam are you?"
