>Talk to Gwydion

It might be a good idea to talk to our newly formed soul. We enter a meditative trance and find her inside the large recesses of our soul. "It's so empty in here. It's kinda sad, how there's all this room, but there's only a tiny spark of soulfire here." She seems to be talking to herself. We flare our soulfire slightly. Her head jerks up in surprise. "Oh, hey master! How are you doing?" I'm doing quite fine. How are you doing Gwydion? "Oh, I'm doing alright. Today's been pretty exciting; I got to do interesting things and meet pretty ladies, including you master~" Augh. "Oh, your soulfire can turn the prettiest shade of red, master~" Urgh, she's teasing us again. What do you want to do in the future Gwydion? "Oh, I think I might go around, meet exciting people, and try out exciting things. I want to have fun master, all kinds of fun." That's good. I like how she has aspirations for herself. What do you think should be our next course of action Gwydion? "We should go out and explore new places. Well, I think that's enough talking with Gwydion.

We wake up from our meditative trance. It's evening, we should get back to the citadel. Alexander probably has Gwydion's new body ready. Once we're there, what should we do?

Easy there, girl! Giving her a body may be dangerous! We've created a monster!

Anyway, we have enough mana to train Enhancement: Endurance? Otherwise, let's explore the citadel!

I think I agree that we should give her a body later when she is a bit less careless.

We must respect her individuality. Gwydion isn't our tool, child or servant. She is a part of us. However, as our equal she must learn to respect us as well. We're not accustomed to this new nature, we don't know how to respond to all these new stimuli and whatnot. Let's take it easy, yeah? We have much to learn about ourselves and each other. We appreciate company, not someone who tries to determine the pace.

It's totally cool to tease us now and then, though. Because reasons.

>No go on the body
>Practice Enchantment:Endurance
Urgh. I guess you guys are right, Gwydion isn't mature enough to have a proper body. She needs to settle down before she's ready to have a body. Well, we should get back to the citadel anyway.

Alexander is nice. I like Alexander. He's always mature and welcoming, and most important of all, he doesn't tease us. "So big boy, you have an extremely big soul, right? What other parts of you are big? Maybe you'd like to show me, hmmm?" "My soulfire capacity is extremely large, yes. I am a disembodied presence, so my soul is the only part I am composed of. I have several large golem, though, if that's what you meant." And he doesn't flirt around like there's no tomorrow.

Alexander gave us a piece of soulstone that we can us so Gwydion can interact with others. She's been using her new found abilities to play pranks on the automated golems. She's knocking them over with her new wind abilities, and somehow she finds that funny.

We're practicing enhancing endurance. It's not particularly hard, it's just the same as the other enhancement skills, however we have almost no soulfire, so it's really leaving us drained. We'll get some more tonight, though, so it's not really that big of a worry. I figure, if we get our enhancement skills up, and he have an extremely large amount of soulfire, around 1000 or so, we can passively enhance our body through the soulfire we're radiating.

Soulfire: 3/3000

We tried cooking. It's alright. Alexander has a bunch of herbs being grown in the greenhouses, and he has a lot of recipes stored up. It's pretty easy, we just follow the instructions. The food's not anything special, but it's alright.

Basic Cooking skills learned

We should get ready for bed. "Oh, master, maybe you could leave me on you when you take a bath? I don't need to get clean, but I could enjoy a nice view~" Urgh! "Fufufufu~" There's no way, we're bringing Gwydion with us! Goodness, that girl!

>Dream of Forgotten Knowledge
The moon is bright. And the night is rife with noise. However, it is not animals, nor any sort of plant that makes

these noises. It is the sound of men dying, of men killing, and of men ordering other men to their doom. The human empire

of Tireladan is advancing the city of Corledium, one of the city states of the Hjlrian Republic. We are here to save the

library.

We are marching towards the city to Corledium to save their great library. Their library hosts some of the greatest works

of literary achievement, that will most likely be razed when the city is conquered. We can not let that happen. We are

using the Poems, who's body is strong enough so we can channel much of our power, and are flanked by an honor guard of

Fiction and Nonfiction. It is rare for three major souls of a titan to be on the field at once, let alone the titan itself,

but the city of Corledium is a major cultural hub for literature, and we can not risk losing the vast stores of writing it

holds.

Fiction speaks ups. "Master, the Tireladan armies are approaching the city. Should we engage them?" No, the Corlediums will

have to fair for themselves. We will not interfere. This is War and the gods domain. "Yes, master." Fiction usually resides

in a golem body, and Nonfiction usually resides in a homunculus body. They are twins in appearance, seperated only by

prefered gender. Poem usually resides in a golem body, so that is where we reside for now. We march onwards towards the

city.

City sercurity is extremely lax. The gates are drawn, but there is no once manning the walls, so we climb right over. The

majority of their army is away on the Plans of Scarjehil, fighting to buy more time. Refuges are rapidly fleeing the city,

hoping to get away before the armies of Tireladan arrive. Trolls are being formed into battlelinds, elves being given bows,

dwarfs are forming shild walls, and humans ae busy with the gnomes, trying to build temporary barricades, the entire city's

able bodied population is being formed into a militia. we ignore them and continue towards the library.

The city is frantic with motion, we pas by mostly ignored, due to everyone worrying about their own problems. We reach the

library with no difficulty. I briefly consider gathering some pieces for Art. I'm sure Art would appreciate that. We send

Fiction off to retrieve some sculptures from a nearby library. "Are you sure you'll be alright master?" I'll be alrgiht,

Fiction. This is a library, nothing can harm the books in here without my consent. "I wasn't talking about the books,

master, but OK..."

We (consume) the books for now. We'll be able to (reform) the books later, when we have gotten back to safety. We wait in

the library for a bit while we wait for Fiction to come back. Nonfiction speaks up. "Master, what will we do if any of the

mortals try to intercept us? We simply act in self-defense, no more than that. We will not interfere in the affairs of

others, but we will not tolerate attacks on ourselves as well. "Understood master." Fiction arrives back at the library. Do

you have the scultures and art? Fiction nods, and opens the golem's chest up. There are many pieces of art stored within

the pocket dimension within the golem's chest. Good, Art will be overjoyed.

We set out. We are occassionally attacked by mortal troops, but we quickly dispatch them. Mortals are no match for us, not

even a tiny spark to our mighty bonfire. Fiction creates great beasts, and Nonfiction summons heroic warrior from throughout history. We pass through unhindered until we are confronted by Assault.

Assault stands before us. Like most of War's souls, Assault resides in the form of a golem. We call for Assault to stand aside, and let us through. Assault smirks. "I'm sorry, but as you are in the city I'm attacking, you are my enemy." Assault, you are no match for three major souls; stand aside and cease your foolishness. "I might not be able to defeat you, but at least you'll be a good fight!" He races forwards- he's fast. Fiction assumes the form of the Beast of Klurachi, a creature written about by the horror author Iserane, it possess one thousand mouths, five thousand eyes, and sixteen seperately functioning brains. Assault forces Fiction back by surrounding him with twenty-thousand floating battering rams, each with a troop of archers attached to them. Nonfiction summons the Clan of Sumerjoi, the greatest warriors to ever live, who had many great and heroic epics written about them. Assault retaliates with the Horde of Jleriq, the one of the most disciplined and coordinatde band of soldiers throughout history. Assault then rushes us.

He is fast, but we are able to dodge his blows. We prepare to utilize Poems' skills.

Dodge the swinging blows,
Prepare to counterattack,
And strike with the earth!

The ground itself attacks Assault. Haikus are usefully in fast-quick paced combat. Hundreds of spikes sprout from hte ground, each attempting to impale Assault. Assault, moves back. "Heh, you have transformed the battlefield in your favor." Fiction is just about done with Assaults battering rams, and the Clan of Sumerjoi, has created an killin field of the Horde of Jleriq, both sides now locked in stalemate. "You have won this round, but I hope to meet in battle again." I hope not. Whoever enjoys battle is crazy. "Ah, you say that now, but once you truely get your blood flowing you will thirst and lust for it with all your heart. I bid you farewell!" You don't even have blood! Oh, he's too far away to hear us. Well, I suppose this counts as a success. We make the rest of our journey with any further interruptions.

Ah! Those dreams always make my head hurt. We get out of bed. Oh, it looks Gwydion saw that dream. She seems awfully silent. We take out clothing and the soulgems and we go take a bath. After the bath, we put her soulgem on and get dressed. We grab Alexander's soulgem too, and put that on. Gwydion speaks up. "Mistress, what happened to us? We were so majestic, yet we were reduce to barely one soul. How did this happen." I don't know Gwydion, but we're going to find out. How are you doing so far. "Well, I particularly enjoyed the feel of your smooth soft skin when you were taking a bath and putting on your clothes~" Ah! I didn't notice! AGHHH! This is all because Gwydion didn't make any remarks today! She tricked us! Lured us into a false sense of security! "Mistress calm down or you're going to pass o-"

It's dark. We open our eyes. "Mistress, are you alright. You just collapsed in the middle of our conversation. Geez, next time try to regulate the blood flow to your face, alright? I'm worried about you." Oh. Yeah... that's embarrassing. Well, let's go check in on Alexander.

"Mistress, the grops grown in the greenhouse are almost ready. I should have them harvested and redy for cooking by this afternoon. Th hunterbot has not caught anything yet. I food food preservation vats ready for any surplus food we obtain." Oh, that's good. Also it looks like we replenished some soulfire as well. It should be enough for any minor activities. We're ready for the day. What should we do?

What kind of battle was that?! How much power we had!? It's no wonder that both humans and gods didn't challenged us!

> the city of Corledium, one of the city states of the Hjlrian Republic
The Empire of Tireladan and the Hjlrian Republic were at war? Or was that an one-sided offense? The city was culturally rich, but it was a strategic point or a military force? The republic had other fortunes and good lands? Unlike the basic elements, our power comes from the culture created by mortals, right? Maybe we're being paranoid, but if the city was only a source of culture, this could be considered an indirect attack against us?

> AGHHH!
Correction, we're the child.

> We're ready for the day. What should we do?
Fwieri. In melee combat Wind Armor is possibly more effective than poor swordsmanship. However, we don't want to engage in combat, now we're weak and confined to a human body. More than ever we hope that Assault isn't right. Therefore, we need to learn how to hide our presence and how to be stealthy. Anyway, we should depart tomorrow.

How do we do Fwieri? Fwieri isn't an activity, she's a person. What a strange suggestion.
>Stealth practice
We decide to learn some stealth skills. After all, it is better to not have to engage the enemy at all, than to fight and possibly lose. We ask Alexander if he has any advice. "I'm sorry mistress, but as I have never had a material body before, I can't help you here." However, might I suggest dampening your footsteps, as that often gives many intruders away." Thanks Alexander, you're a great help. Alright, time to get to work.

OK, it seems that if we roll our feet, it will help dampen sound. We can also try padding our feet, although we don't have any socks. We need to wear more form fitting clothing, loose clothing rubs against itself and causes noise. Bare feet seem to work really well, if the ground won't cut our feet. Faded colors work best because black stands out. We have to move slow, fast movements attract attention. Controlling breathing is really important.

I think we've got a basic idea of what we should do to be stealthy, but we haven't really tested it out on anything, so we don't know if it'll be effective or not. This is about the basic level of stealth we can achieve without any experience.

Rudimentary Stealth Skills Achived

Alexander lights up his soulgem. We check it. "Mistress, the crops and other vegetables aree ready. All of these crops except for the sugar beets are heavily loaded with carbohydrates, so they should give a lot of energy. I've ground the wheat and barley into flour for you to bake if you want." Oh, it seems that it's already noon. Well, what should we do for the afternoon?

>Talk to Fwieri

We decide to head out to talk to Fwieri. Alexander, hold down the fort while I'm gone, alright? "Yes, mistress." We take a short jaunt down to the garage, and we're off. This hoverbike is still as fast as ever. We speed along the top of the city, taking in the sights.

We arrive at the outskirts, and head for the usualy meeting place we have with Fwieri. We get off the bike, and enter a meditative state. Fwieri greets us. "Hey, you're back. I got so much to talk about!" She looks older. Fwieri, you look older. "Yeah, thanks to that soulfire you gave me I was able to expand my being, see, now I got boobs!" She pulls her shirt up, and creamy tan gobu- NO, look away! Don't just pull your shirt off! Don't you know that's impolite? "Ah, yeah, sorry. I just wanted to show you." It look like she's pulled her shirt d- URG, not yet. You should pull you shirt down, I want to look at you when I talk to you. "OK, I've got my shirt back on now." "Mistress, I wouldn't mind enjoying the view some more." Argh, Gwydion shut up! "After all mistress, I saw you magnificent body this mor-" Gwydion, s-s-s-shut up! D-d-d-don't make s-s-stupid comments like that, p-p-pervert! "Ah, mistress, your face is blushing beautifully today!" S-s-shut up! "Yeah, your face is really red." D-d-don't you start too! "I know, it would solve a lot of problems if you were to take your clothing off too, mistress." No way! Fwieri looks thoughtful. "Yeah, that would be a good idea, because then we'd both be naked, so there'd be nothing wrong, right?" Absolutely not! That's a horrible idea! Wait, what are you two doing?! Stay away! Rape! "Oh, mistress, we're not raping you.... yet" AHHHH!

I don't like this. We standing with only our underwear on. We're not looking at Fwieri because she's completely naked. Gwydion doesn't have a body yet, so she's alright to look at. "Gwydion, why'd you leave her underwear on?" "Because if I stripped her completely she might pass out." We wouldn't! But, she shouldn't do that anyway. "Ah, you're right! So, what did you want to talk about?" Oh, right. We ask her if she can teach us wind armor. "Yeah, I teach you that. It's easy! But, why do you want to learn. You can just get me to it for you. Plus, if you use it, you need to focus on that at all times." But, if we're out of your domain, then we need to be able to do it on our own. Plus, we have an extra soul to focus on that. "Oh, right! Well, I can teach it to you for 10 soulfire." Do we accept?

>Yes
>No

Gwydion nudges us. "Master, I dont want to stay in your body forever. I want to go out and explore stuff. Can I have a body?" There's one spare in the citadel. Plus, Gwydion is specialized for soulfire gathering, so she wouldn't be suited for powering wind armor anyway. Should we give it to her?

>Yes, she's waited long enough
>No, she's not mature enought

For that matter, it's almost dark. What should we do when we get back to the citadel?
>>
No. 426301 ID: b2f225

The human body. Seemingly fragile, but extremely versatile. An ingenious and wonderful mechanism, isn't it? Paranoia would say they will outlive everything and everyone, even the Titans. Huh, Shame and Decorum? They aren't inherent to mortals, they're cultural aspects. We acquired this when we cannibalized ourselves? We're afraid to assume that we're in love and even excited with this beautiful sight, often portrayed in various ways through Written Word, Art and Music? Or this is Richelieu's influence? If the latter, we should respect his wishes. This body isn't ours.

> "See, now I got boobs!"
Magnificent use of our energy. That was Sarcasm, we don't know the utility of mammary glands to spirits. Maybe she wants to please us?

> Do we accept?
No more boobs. Voluptuousness may be hazardous to our new state. And distasteful, really. Anyway, the answer is "yes" and "thank you very much".

> No, she's not mature enought
Preposterous. She didn't ask to be conceived and now we deny her individuality? She practice jokes and pranks, but why this is considered lack of maturity rather than a free and happy soul? She deserves a body more than ourselves.

> What should we do when we get back to the citadel?
Preparations for our departure.

>Prepare for the trip.

We accept her offer. She jumps in excitement. By the way, why'd you get boobs. "Oh, as we grow in power, we also start to grow older until we're adults." Oh, that explains it.

Soulfire:18/3000

We start to head back to the citadel. We're going to have to ask Alexander to make a second seat. We land in the garage. We should make preparations for setting out tomorrow. We should find civilization. We'll head

>East
>West
>North
>South

Alexander, build a second seat for the hoverbike. Can you preserve all extra food, and pack it on the bike too. We're going to try to find civilization tomorrow. Also, keep growing food, but just put it in stasis and store it or something. "Yes mistress. I will do as you wish mistress." A couple of golems frantically race around. Also, before I forget, can you tell me where you put the homunculus body? I want to transplant Gwydion into it. "Yes mistress. I will have a golem direct you towards it." The small golem who dresses our hair every morning wheels over in front of us. It makes a beckoning motion and starts to head into a just-now opening passageway in the wall. It seems to slope down a long way. We follow it for a good amount of time, before we see another opening. We exit, and gaze upon hundreds and hundreds of tanks with some sort of liquid in them. One of them is filled with a body. It stares at us, mindless but alive. "Oh, mistress, is that going to be my body?" It looks like it. It is blond, and looks sort of androgynous. The tank lowers, and sets down on the ground.

Umm, let's see if I remember how to do this. We place both hands on the homunculus's chest. We pull Gwydion outwards towards the body, and anchor it.
>Soul Anchor Established
The homunculus's eyes blink. "Mistress, I have a body now." It looks like it worked! Success! "Also I'm naked and you're groping my chest." GRAH!

Alexander and Fwieri will accompany us through the soulgem and while we're on her domains, respectively, but we feel the need to say our goodbyes and wish for their safety.

There are no problems with Gwydion usual behavior when in privacy, but we should be more careful and discreet when in public. We don't hold knowledge about the present, we were usurped our of powers and violently separated from our brothers. We'll walk in darkness. We appreciate any help, but we don't want to impose anything. Gwydion will have our confidence, can she handle this burden? That's what she wants?

We'll follow Earth. East. Tonight we dream of Music.

>Dream of Forgotten Knowledge
What are you doing? "Oh, I'm just taking some of these books. You have the best library, so I thought I'd just borrow

some of these books." That's just it. It's my library. So leave my books alone. Romance is here to steal books again. Geez,

Love should just keep her under control. "Oh, but these books, they're so romantic, I just have to read them! Besides, it's

not like you read this collection anyway~ Unless you do, just sitting here in this library, getting hot under the collar

and having to mas-" That's enough! I definitely don't do that sort of thing. I am a Titan, beyond petty mortal concepts

like that. Besides that stuff is base and perverted! We are a titan, and thus should not sink to mortal levels. Romance

leans closer, her face only inches away from our current vessel. She lowers her voice to a much more husky tone. "But it's

within my purview. Don't you ever get tired of just reading about romance?" She starts breathing breathily between each

word. "Don't... you... want... to... experience... some... romance... with me?' She cups a hand over our cheek. N-N-NO!

Stop that! "We'll just get those pesky clothes off~" No! Leave my cloth-auuuuuu.... I knew we should have chosen a-haha...

golem vessel today! These stupid-auauuau- have too many freaking erogenous zones! Someone help!

Suddenly, someone pulls Romance off of us. It's Poems. Man, Poems is now my favorite major soul. "Romance, can you please

stop manhandling my master?" Romance looks afronted. "I don't manhandle! I delicately seduce people, like Writing." "Well,

can you stop doing that?" Romance gives him puppy eyes. "But look! Writing is so cute and easy to corrupt~ Do you want to

join in too?" Poems blushes and looks away. No Poems, don't give in! Don't leave us to Romance's tender mercies! Poems

sighs. "I'll have Flierogaldi write two more poems, just for you if you let my master go. I'll even have her dedicate them

to you." Romance squeaks. "I love her work! She has such understanding of romance, and the true nature of lovve between

lovers!" I don't know why you like her work so much. It's basically just smut. "Do not think to compare her work with smut!

Lust has no understanding of the true nature of romance! Lust is just wants to rut like an animal all day, while I have

equisite and cultured affectionate love." Yeah, yeah, it's basically smut with nice words. "Oh, you're just saying that

because you haven't experienced it for yourself. Would you like to experience it with me?" Oh, no, not again. Poems! "Wait,

so are you going to take the deal or not?" Romance considers it for a second, then agress. "I'll leave your master alone...

for now~ Sarah's work is just too good to pass up." Poems nods. Alright, the deal is settled. We go and grab our clothes.

They're all around the library.

So, what did Love want to tell us? I know she can't have just sent you here to steal my books. We've got our clothes on,

and are focusing intensely on Romance. "My mistress wants to inform all her fellow siblings about the increased

relationships between the gods and the mortals. Additionally, the gods are actually forming familial bonds with the

mortals, not just using them as a source of sexual relief." Huh, the mortals and gods have usually stayed seperate, other

than the the mortals worshipping the gods and the gods granting mortal favors, they've never really interacted in the past.

What this new development means is unknown. we send Romance on her way. We'll just have to wait and see.

Ah,,, We roll over and look up. It's day time. Time to get to work. We take a bath and grab something to eat. We have about

5 days food supply, all of which are in stasis. Our soulfire replenished while we were asleep, and we have a decent enough

reserve to operate on, not really optimal, but it's alright.

Soulfire:43/3000

We move to the cot besides ours. Gwydion, wake up. We nudge her. It's morning. "Huh, mistress, are we going to take a bath

together? We can have some skinship~" I already took a bath, Gwydion. Next time wake up earlier if you want to catch me.

"Aww..." Alright, it looks like Alexander is done with all the modiications and preperations. It's time to set off for

civilization! We pull out the compass. Which direction do we travel?
>>
No. 426830 ID: b2f225

Oh, now we understand Gwydion better. We couldn't get Romance out of our system. Or we did something else? Well, let's save that for later. Feeding our imagination will only distract us from what we must do.

Oh, yeah. We must grab some of Sarah's work. Like, right now.

Didn't know we could be so awesome. At this rate, however, we'll end up falling in love with ourselves. Being a titan in a mortal vessel surely is dangerous.

>Go east

Right, we’ll head east. Gwydion, are you done with your bath. “Not yet. Maybe you’d care to join me~” No, just hurry up. Alexander, we’re going to go now. Focus priority on self-repair, and try to stay safe, alright? “Y-y-yes mistress. I will try to stay safe.” Alright, we’r- Gwydion, why are you still naked? “Mistress, you forgot to give me clothes.” Oh, seriously? Alright, take this clothing and get dressed. “Yes, mistress.” We wait outside the bathroom tapping for feet for a few minutes. Oh, good, Gwydion, you’re done- why are you still holding the underwear?! “I didn’t feel like wearing them. It makes me feel more restricted.” No, no! That is extremely inappropriate! You put that underwear on right now, young lady! “Awww…”

Alright, now we’re ready to set out. Gwydion has proper clothing on, Alexander knows what to do until we return, Gwydion grabbed a bow, canteen, and a bunch of other equipment from the storeroom and we gave her a dagger, and we’ve got all our junk packed onto the hoverbike. We wave goodbye to Alexander and set off. Out plan is to try to follow Fwieri’s territory as long as we can, as we head east, and then we’ll be on our own. We should probably head back within three days if we can’t find any source of civilization.

We’re about half a day out, when Fwieri contacts us. “Hey, I saw a weird thing moving out in the way you’re traveling. I dunno what it is, but it looks like it has mortals on it.” Huh, how should we deal with this? Should we investigate, continue on our way, or avoid it?

Fwieri would certainly know how to distinguish a common vehicle. A weapon of war? It is going towards Alexandria? Let's investigate, but we should be prepared to abscond at any time.

Our curiosity demands we investigate! First though, we ask Fwieri if she could describe it or something. "Well, it looks like an upside-down oval-dome with a canvas stuck on it." I have no idea what that is.

I guess we'll go check it out. We head for where Fwieri said that object was.

Huh, the object looks like a boat. Well, if a boat sailed along the top of the sand and had skimmers. What to do?

"Test our combat capabilities"? If this suggestion wasn't irrational and barbaric beyond measure by itself, we, without any combat experience, would be against fourteen of them. Our goal is to rescue our brothers, not to create conflicts against "obvious criminals who must be punished", bring harm to Gwydion and risk all our efforts to date. We observe the ship. It seems like it's just prowling around the place. The captain is a petite girl, I wonder how she's able to maintain control of that rowdy crew? >Press on!

Multiple shots impact the sand around us. We ignore them. As a small and agile target, we present such a small profile, that we should be able to avoid all their shots. The ship turns. Apparently the captain realizes this. Multiple smaller vessels jump out off the ships each carrying crewmen armed with some sort of strange barrel thing. You can't see very well, but the crewmen on the smaller vessels appear to be all female. There are two on each of them, and the only the one in front is steering. They skid along the sand, just like the larger ship, and they're all heading right towards us. Gwydion starts channeling energy, and a wind shield appears around us. She yells over the wind. "I've ask Fwieri for help, mistress! She's agreed to create an wind shield, and transform it into an air burst when we need it!" We grab the glaive and get it ready. Fwieri readies her bow. "Master, can I fire on them?" No, we're going to try to talk with the captain. If you are force to fire, aim for non-lethal, only disabling. "Understood mistress!" We pile on the acceleration, and at the last moment, we break the shield with an airburst. We jump, just getting enough height to skid onto the deck of the airship. We look around. It looks like the captain is reacting fast and has her crew surround us. She pull out a sword and gets ready to attack. Umm, this isn't good. What do we do? What do we say?

> What do we do? What do we say?
Ah, this will be awkward. Let's try not to blush, yes? We must apologize, it wasn't our intention to startle them. Advancing against an armed ship was probably our worst idea so far. We are travelers, we need some directions. First we decided not to bother them, just accompany from a distance. However, their lack of a distinct course initially led us to take different paths, but soon after we wondered if they were suffering from some kind of problem. Our desire to not lose their track spoke louder and we ended up taking such drastic action. We mean no harm and hope there's some way to compensate for this terrible misunderstanding.

Oh, yeah. Just in case. Enhancement: Strength. We may need to open an escape route by force.

>Try to peacefully resolve things, but be ready to resort to force if you have to

Um... hi! We lower out weapons. Gwydion's still has her bow up though. We don't want to fight you. The captain lowers her blade. The rest of her crew is still on alert. "So, if you didn't come to fight, what's with the entrance?" Umm... we just wanted to talk. We didn't mean to startle you. It's just that you started firing on us... "Heh, alright. I'll believe you. We're pirates searching for the lost city of Alexandria. We heard there were great riches and treasures store within it. If you can give us any help, we'd make it worth your while. Maybe we'd even give you a share of the loot!" She looks surprised by the apparent magnanimity of her offer. Umm... what do we do?

If we play our cards right, we will have a band of pirates at our disposal. Furthermore, with the control of the citadel we can decide what treasures will be "discovered". We would have virtually unlimited resources without calling attention to ourselves. We could use these to fund archaeological researches, speed up the search for our brothers.

No, we're leaving. Why is she chasing fairy tales? That's what we will tell them, anyway. We do not know them, their motives and what prompted them to search for Alexandria. The citadel was abandoned for millennia, without any signs of burglars or researchers. What's happening here, indeed.

Ah, sorry, no can do. Besides, why are you chasing old legends and fairy tales anyway? Everyone knows that the city of Alexandria was lost to the winds millenia ago; it's probably nothing but rubble right now. Gwydion is still on alert. The captain scoffs. She seems to be angry. Her tone turns harsh. "Huh, do you think I'm stupid? You know something, that much is certain. You came from the desert riding a vehicle that was enchanted with enormous power. I don't know if you're working for someone, or if you're a native of the city, but one way or another, I'm going to find out." She brings up her sword, and suddenly we are surround by hostiles again. Gwydion is prepped to fire. We bring out glaive up. There are 3 men over on the castle of the ship pointing those barrel like things at us. There are 4 other crewmembers surrounding us, all girls with those cresentblades. Do we attack, flee or try to talk it out? Do we retaliate with lethal or nonlethal force if need be?

Oh. Almost forgot, they are mortals. Yes, this is an adequate maneuver, but not without its flaws. Gwydion is with us, right? We can't leave her behind. Furthermore, enough Enhancement: Strength will do the trick. We've prepared this spell, yes?

Now, lethal force? What would we gain with such barbarity? Moreover, there's something troubling the captain, she's desperate and defensive. Aren't we curious? So much time without a new story, we're almost starving...

Very well, here's the plan. Gently hold Gwydion, enhance strength and go to the crow's nest. Once in a better strategic location, reaffirm our desire to avoid conflict and inquire about their story. We're also willing to share our tales.

Just in time too, it seems the barrel things shoot some sort of high-speed projectiles. Gwydion, and you project an air shield? "Yes mistress, but I can't move while doing it." That's fine, I can carry you while we move. "Yes mistress." We sling Gwydion onto our back and make a beeline for the mast. Several shots wiz by our head. Fire with lethal force if need be, Gwydion. Priority target the ones with the barreled weapons, they have ranged. "Yes mistress!" We hear several crys of pain as we climb up the rigging. Gwydion isn't that great of a shot with the bow, and especially not on a moving platform, but the range is close enough that she can score some good hits.

Ha, ha, we scramble up the rigging, and climb up onto the crow's nest, Gwydion on our backs the entire way. Ha, ha, ha. Gotta catch our breath for a second, ha, ha. Gwydion's taken out all of the long ranger pirates with arrows to the elbow, thigh, knees, those sort of places. None are immediately fatal, but will be if they don't get medical attention. Oi, you ready to talk now? Don't really want to have to kill you guys, but we will if we have too. We climb off the floor. The captain's taken cover behind a box. It seems her crew has followed her example. She yells out. "It seems we're at a bit of an impasse here." Phff, impasse? We're got her hunkered down for cover, and she doesn't dare move. All she has left are melee troops. You've just about lost, just give up! "I wouldn't say lost..." What's keeping her from surrendering, her pride? Maybe if we phrase it another way...

The captain sighs, then curses viciously. "Dammit! Son of a shit eating whore! Well, I guess I got no choice. What do you want?" Gwydion pokes us again. What is it Gwydion? "Mistress, I have three arrows left." Ah, let's see, there's are... five crewmembers left. Huh. It looks like we got lucky there.

What sh-Flashes, surrender, fealty, oaths Swear loyalty to me. The captain looks up. "What?" Swear loyalty on the names of Love and Hate, those which bind and sever. That captain looks startled. "Wha-a-a-a-" Swear it and I shall heal the wounded, and heal them to full health, free of any wounds that may mar them. The captain gulps then gets down on her knees. "I swear Loyalty to you on the name of Love and Hate, those which sever and bind." The oath is done, she is bound. The rest of the crew on the ship quickly follows suit.

They would most likely not kill their own crew and captain to get at us unless we do something truly horrible. >Let them on board

Go ahead and let those men on board. They're part of the crew, right? If they pose a problem, we'll figure out what to to then, for now, just let them on. "Aye, aye!" the captain salutes smartly. We hesitate a bit. Wait, before you go, what do you think of this whole thing?

She stops in her tracks and looks back at us. Then she gives us a small smile. "It's alright, I guess. Ain't going to lie to your, that's how I took this ship with my angel a'while back. At least, you're a good boss. Help healed those men. It's just a way of life for us pirates, that the strongest rule. Don't think too much about it." Angels? "Oh, those girls you saw. Yep, those girls have been with me through thick an' thin. I suppose I should be going now. See ya later, boss!" She gives us a brilliant smile and runs off. Wow... she's really pretty when she smiles. "Mistress, don't get too attached her, she's just a mortal you know." Woah, when did you get here Gwydion? I though you were checking out those iron tube shooters. "They're called cannons mistress. I can't believe you don't even know that." She gives us a flat look. Hey, it's not my fault I've been stuck under a tower for a couple of millenia... for that matter, you shouldn't know either considering you were born with only the information I had at your time of birth. We give her a pointed look. Gwydion chuckles. "Ah, I've been, you know, hanging with the crew a bit. They're nice guys." Right as she finishes, a crewmember slams open the door in a hurry. He looks panicked. "Boss, the speedsters are demanding to see you. They look pissed!"

The speedsters do indeed "look pissed." They've all got weapon out, however, none of them have them at the ready, otherwise the situation would be a lot tenser. The one in charge looks up. He has a face that would be called handsome, even though it looks so cruel. His body is toned, and it looks like he is pretty skilled in combat. He starts talking. "Oi, you the new boss? It doesn't look like anyone got killed. Don't tell me you went easy on these chumps, and still kicked their asses."

The captain sidles up to us. She looks worried. "These guys are the toughest guys on the whole ship. They didn't really listen to me, they sorta did their own thing. I got them to split the profits with the rest of the crew, but I could really decide which ships they raided."

We look over. There's about eight of them, but one of them's a scrawny kid who's looking up at the other's rather fearfully. Two or three of them are teasing him. He's a cute little kid with big eyes, and would kindle motherly instincts in anyone. The other speedsters, in contrast, look tough and strong.

The leader clears his throat and we drag our eyes away from examining the other speedsters and focus on him. "So, I don't really think you're qualified to be your boss. There's one way we can decide this. We can throw down." What's with all these violent options lately. Well, we can throw down, or if we want to avoid conflict, we're going to have to come up with another way to prove ourselves.

((Ah, this is not going to be fun for you.))
We crash into him at full pelt, hand on hand, struggling for an advantage. With our strength enhancement, we're stronger than he is, that's for sure. We push with all of our weight. At this rate, we're going to overpower hi- ah! Oohf! He slid a foot inside our stance and we fell and hit the ground. Argh, our vision is all blur-argh! He punched us in the face! Male offspring of a female dog! Our nose is broken. Really starting to regret not going into this fight with strength enhancement. He's straddling us and trying to land a flurry of blows. We're forced into the defensive, blocking most of the blows. We're hurt and immobile. The only way we're going to win at this point, is with an ingenious gambit.

((Alright, propose a plan, and then roll a d10 for luck. Lower is better. The better the plan, the more slack you get with the dice roll.))

> Male offspring of a female dog!
Written word, you agreed to fight. Grin and bear it.

You may be stronger than him, but he's taller and heavier. Wake up, never underestimate your opponent. Remember, mortals subjugated you and your brothers. Moreover, you're not accustomed to pain, have no training in hand-to-hand combat and you're nowhere near your original power. Best-case scenario, this fellow at least knows how to play dirty. Don't be afraid to play dirty as well, there are no rules and no conditions imposed.

Anyway, try not to embarrass yourself.

if possible, boost your speed, and try to get one of your legs up around his neck, you don't need to throw him, but try. all you need to do is to get him leaning back a moment, a break in his assault long enough for you to pull both arms back and then fucking hammerblow him in the nuts while he is leaning back. proceed to do something appropriately unfair, like punching him in the neck. nobody likes him anyway, if he chokes to death, it is because of his BAD LIFE CHOICES.
>>
No. 433701 ID: 5f8420

Obvious movements, he's probably waiting for something like that. Throw sand on him with wind magic. Use the opening to get close, grab his collar and give him your best headbutt. The blow will at least disorient him, take this opportunity to bring him to the ground. Step on him and demonstrate your "superiority". However, you should say that this is enough, you don't want to further hurt anyone of the crew.

> BAD LIFE CHOICES
Everyone makes bad choices at some point in their life, but that doesn't give anyone the right to kill them. Indeed, trying to beat someone who defeated fourteen of his companions isn't the wisest decision, but he doesn't know the circumstances of the battle, how many men we have, what weapons and tricks we possess. An one on one fight is a reasonable decision, therefore. In any event, we don't know his motives and capabilities.

((Using this roll, as it came first.))
Heh, so it seems this mortal is skilled in brawling. If this will not be a pure contest of strength, then we also utilize other methods of attack. Fwieri! A gust of sand blows into his face. He immediately shuts his eyes, but doesn't recoil, instead he keeps punching. We draw up both legs and kick him off.

He shakily climbs up to his feet, while preparing a defensive stance. His stance is a bit wobbly. We climb up to our feet as well. Then, while he still hasn't recovered from the sand, we headbutt hi-fornification! That hurt! Who came up with the idea of using their head as a weapon anyway? He reels back.

Double-fisted hammer blow! He crumbles to the ground. We stand over him. Does anyone else want to challenge my authority? The second in command steps up. He has a kind smile on his face. He also has glasses.

"Well done, madam. You have defeated Ujerl." He claps slowly. "However, he does not stand for all of us." One of the raiders turns at this, and has a questioning look on his face. The second in command holds up a hand, and the raider suddenly clamps his mouth shut, looking nervous. The second-in-command continues. "And we will not simply bow down to a brute who solves things by force. What will we receive if we join you?"

We hurt. There's bruises all over us, and we have a black eye. Our right arm is in great pain, most of it centering from the shoulder joint. I think we spit up blood sometime during the fight, and our ankle is probably sprained.

Help Ujerl to get up. Up we go! Thanks for the fight, I was pretty rusty and certainly needed one or two good blows to clear my mind!

Hah! You certainly have a marvelous crew, captain! To think they would stand this far for you and their comrades! Not without a reason, of course! Your captain is really keen and obstinate, and each of you is more tenacious and brave than the other! Enough babbling, however! None of you are here to what you probably perceive as false praise, yes? Sorry, we were alone for long, I just can't help but get thrilled each time I come to know a little more about you all! I have information about Alexandria, something that hasn't escaped the eyes of the captain! More precisely, its location! I'm sure this is enough to draw your attention! Come, I want to say this to everyone and make the necessary introductions!

How the oath works and how did you heal their wounds?

>>434938
Pay them? How? In any event, that's not how things work on a pirate ship, treasure should be shared among the crew. However, Written Words has control over the citadel, over what treasure will be "discovered". Furthermore, WWs can encourage them to search for other types of ancient legends. Thus WWs will have a group of pirates treasure hunters to facilitate and accelerate the search for their brothers. Don't underestimate the pirates treasure hunters, though. That would cost you dearly.

We heal our wounds. It's pretty tiring. By pretty tiring I mean we are about to collapse.

Soulfire: 1/3000

((Cutting it pretty close, guys. If you go below one you'll die.))

Heh, you have a pretty loyal crew captain. The raider second in command smirks. "Heh, you though I was talking about the captain? No, I'm talking about our profit. We didn't take orders from the captain. She suggested what to do and we decided if we wanted to listen to her suggestions." We are slightly taken aback. Umm.. alright.

We straighten up and assume as regal as a posture as we can, drawing on every bit of spare energy we can muster. Very well. I have something very important, something your captain has noticed. I have the location of the City of Alexandria. Furthermore, I can get in and out of the city with all it's magnificent artifacts and wonders. If you join my crew, I will see to it that your are rewarded. We finish with a dramatic flourish.

Our speech has its effects among the raiders. They start to mutter amount themselves. Finally, the second in command smiles. "It seems like you have a very good offer indeed, madam. A offer like this is too good to pass up. The riches and treasures of the forsaken city Alexandria have been spoken of for ages. We accept your offer."

Alright, that's settled. Gwydion help guide them to the city. I think we're just going to collapse on the floor. Good night.

We hear Gwydion suddenly moving, and the other members of the crew rushing towards our aid, but by the time they arrive, everything has been consumed by the darkness.

We dream. We dream of

>Forgotten knowledge

We are fueled by tens of thousands of souls. Hundreds of offerings are poured into the void to reach us. We are being summoned. The lift-essence of hundreds of creatures is being sacrificed to reach us. They mean to request our audience. And we grant their request.

We appear, words swirling off books, creating a body of our domain, itself. We are magnificent, words themselves flying off the pages of books to form out body. We are a Titan.

We are mighty and magnificent, total and all-powerful. We speak, and the words float into the air, hovering there. Why have you summoned the might Titan of Words.

The head mortal, or we assume he's the head mortal, he has the most decorations, comes forwards and bows. "We have a request, mighty Titan.

Speak and we shall consider your wish, for you have slain many creatures for us, and sacrificed their essence to us. For this is a great and mighty sacrifice, and we shall not brush it aside so easily.

And the man asks us his request. "We request to access the great libraries of Alexandria. It was our master's last request."

Such devotion to us. Were is your master. I wish to see him.

A elderly man in a wheelchair is brought forward. His head is leaning slightly to the right, and he's breathing through a tube. It's obvious he isn't very healthy.

Tell me, what is your name, and why do you wish to see my library.

One of the lower ranking members attempts to answer, but the master slowly and painfully manages to pull a hand up in a stopping motion. The man immediately stops, freezing in place. The old man starts to speak.

"I am old and dying, and I wish to see the Library before I go. For all my life, I've tracked great literary works and studied them. I tried to write one once, but I learned that I did not have to talent, and many others surpassed me in that field, so I left it to those who could to better, and I tried to make a difference where I could. I know I am neither a great writer or a magnificent poet, but I wish to see the library of Alexandria one time before I die." He speaks slowly, hacking and coughing all the time, but he speaks with respect and adoration in his voice.

Such devotion. You shall see the library of Alexandria, not once, but many times. For you shall become one of my many lesser souls, should you accept. You shall go under Records, the lesser soul of Writing, if you so accept our offer.

"I pledge myself to your service. I forsake all human contact, and take my soul out of the cycle of reincarnation to become your vassel. This I swear."

And we transform him. We consume his soul and spawn it out anew, rebirthing him for his new life. Welcome, Glukerbirg Hendrikson. Welcome to my well of souls.

Soulfire: 16/3000

We awake. Oh, there's Gwydion. "Good morning, mistress." Gwydion the bed is rocking slightly, did you know that? "Yes, we're still on the ship. We're about to approach Alexandria." Is that so. Let's go up to the main deck.

We've seen Alexandria before, but seeing it from outside coming in is breathtaking. You can see the skyline clash with the sky, and it's really quite different from a bird's eye view.

The captain comes on board. "Ma'am, I've gotten the raiders below deck, and their waiting to discuss the loot. Some of them look like they wish to follow you." She stomps her foot once. Wow, she looks really military now. "We're waiting for you to secure access to the port for us." Gwydion hands us Alexander's long range communication soulstone. Oh, right. Alexander, open the port. An ancient city wall slowly slides out, and the ship slides neatly into port.

Welcome to Alexandria!

We still have a bit to do today. We should talk with the raiders about the loot, get the crew settled in, and prepare talk to Alexander about repairs to the ship and getting our new vassals outfitted with proper gear. What should we do first?
>>
No. 439305 ID: 8c4f25

Get them settled in, you have matters to discuss with everyone. You're positively sure that this place is abandoned for millenia, but you haven't had the chance to ascertain what these walls hide. You managed to dominate part of the magic here, however, and they will have the opportunity to rest and make the necessary repairs before starting to loot the place.

That said and done, perhaps now is an appropriate time for introductions, try at least to record the names of the captain and the second in command. You go by the name of Hypatia and Alexandria is only your first finding, you are also looking for other signs of ancient civilization and you would be more than happy if they were interested in following you.

After all this, be available to answer any remaining questions.
