Wait, what? We don't know where the heck we're going or who else is going to be there. It would really suck if we're going to a human society where we end up as a freak hiding under a big hat and a trenchcoat every time we leave our bedroom and there's no possibility of having a healthy civilian life and a family.
We also don't know if we're ending up on a planet with a cyanide atmosphere and anything we take that isn't cyanide-breathing will die painfully in less than three minutes.

>>
No. 389229 ID: 7d7f79

Uh, if she's kinda dragonish that would mean she's got armour for skin as part of her anatomy, right? That means that for a given build she should mass more than a comparable human probably.
Let's see... average weight for an adult female human in the US is 162 lbs, at a height of 5'4" which is almost an entire foot shorter than Escape Key. Unless dragon-furries are hollow-boned like birds or something she might be dying of starvation, and definitely not toned for a brawl, at that weight.

We were asked what our favourite weapon is here, so therefore I'm going to guess it won't do to make her a skinny little heroin waif. I suggest we try again on the height and mass question.

Since I obviously don't D&D, can someone explain this Thunder Barfing thing?
>>
No. 389604 ID: fa9f7e

http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Breath_Weapon

That explains how breath weapons work. Thunder'd be electricity, and barf would be a cone of electricity damage.
>>
No. 389609 ID: fa9f7e

Now, to explain further on the above text, assuming that the reader knows nothing about D&D (warning: wall o' text):

Reflex is based on Dexterity or what have you. Will's based on Wisdom. Fortitude's based on Vitality/Constitution. Those two are only used when the breath just causes some non-damaging magic effect. Doesn't apply here.

The DC is the number you must roll above. In this case, it's 10 plus how many HD we have. As a freshhalf-dragon, our HD would be 1d12, so +1.

Our Con modifier is our Constitution/Vitality score minus ten divided by three. 10 to 12 is +0. 13-15 is +1, 16-18 +2, and so on. 7-9 is -1, 4-6 is -2, and 1-3 is -3. Formula is (x-10)/3.

Having 0 Con would kill us, as our heart wouldn't beat, we couldn't breathe, etc. Sometimes creatures have a Con score of "-". Basically, not applicable- golems and the undead, usually. They're immune to anything that requires a Fort save.

You determine our Constitution. The DC to take half damage from our breath weapon would be 11+Con modifier.

As for the damage, you determine that, too. It's usually xd6. Scale it to fit whatever foes we'll be facing. Use whatever seems reasonable. Remember, we have a cooldown of 1d3 rounds or some such, unless you decide otherwise.
>>
No. 389613 ID: fa9f7e

As for the whole supernatural abilities thing, etc, don't worry about it. The difference between supernatural and extraordinary is, basically, Extraoridnaries work when magic is being nullified, supernaturals don't.

And for the size of the cone, well, here's the half-dragon template.
http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Half-dragon

Most of them have 60-ft. LINE of electricity. It's either 60-foot lines or a 30-foot wide and long cone. You can decide which we get.

Oh, and about the damage and Reflex check to take damage, turns out I was wrong about that.

"A half-dragon’s breath weapon deals 6d8 points of damage. A successful Reflex save (DC 10 + 1/2 half-dragon’s racial HD + half-dragon’s Con modifier) reduces damage by half. "

Our HD would still be d12 since human HD is d8 and half-dragons get one size bigger HD to a max of d12, I think, but the HD modifier would become .5. You can choose whether to round that up or down.

You don't HAVE to use that material, of course, but it's generally pretty balanced.

Armored tunic should weigh 15-25 lb based on amount of armor.

Any problems?

I like that style on the gauntlets a lot. The cloak could work to replace a lot of fullplate; we'd only heed a one-sided breastplate with that thing if we went full-on armor. One issue is neck protection though. Many pauldrons have bits that stick up to prevent blows to the neck. Sometimes that's even part of the breastplate or helmet. Hmm. I suppose a good neck-protecting helmet would work with that.

When we left him he'd been waiting longer for his interview than you were for yours I'm guessing and he may still be in that waiting room. I suspect the bureaucrats don't want to interview a guy with blueballs so bad he can't talk without stuttering.
He's too little of an extrovert to hit on someone or rub one out in the infinite waiting room. Uh... uh... wait....

If we know Escape-Key at all by now she doesn't take waiting waiting without something to do very well. Our apparent choices appear to be attempting to converse, practicing our moves, attempting to seduce/fuck, or finding a way out of this waiting room.
The option least likely to cause harm is probably practicing our moves, and after that trying to talk to one or more of our new teammates. Most people don't like to fuck with an audience and the audience may not enjoy the show either, so we should probably keep our pants on unless we've got everybody's go-ahead to screw here... which might be something we could get by suggesting orgy.

How about this, "Well, I'm bored now. Orgy or practicing our moves? I'd prefer orgy but if you folks are too prudish I guess I can work out some frustration by swinging around with this big stick."

This, then change the subject to how they died. Knowing that could actually be useful, because knowing what your group members can't do is a major part of knowing what they can do.
Also, if we get in a fight with them, (which is looking increasingly likely with our PEOPLE SKILLS), having some idea of what can kill or incapacitate them would come in handy.

Don't insult our people skills, our people skills are excellent at keeping both us and Escape-Key from getting bored. This is clearly more valuable than survival or any other goal.

Also, I'd like to restate my suggestion we propose either orgy or group drilling: If we don't know what each other can do and how well they can do it to some degree we're not much of a team. Show is usually better than tell, and also usually less boring, so drill would be better than talking.
And orgy would be good for tormenting our blueballs dude since we're probably going on mission whenever he gets here, which would be funny.

Ask Virgil where he's seen us before, and if it might not possibly be some other dragonborn he has in mind? Don't tell him yet about creating ourselves out of spiritual zero a few minutes ago. That might not be standard for coming back from the dead, especially since he thinks he can recognize a completely new body...

I think he probably means us head-voices, not Escede. Also, it looks like someone has an intrest in Dragonborn. Get to know Escede, and she'll probably warm right up to you~

Also, you taste like cinnamon.

Virgil:"You want to know how much power is behind these beauties, eh? I think know is a better time than never to find out."

>Is he really about to...

Virgil:"Don't blink, I want to enjoy this!"

You know what they say: The best defense is a good kick to the nads.

Catch his fist in your hands. He'll still get to brag when it blows you away, but you won't suffer injury. Plus it's invariably awesome to do so.

Guard up, utilize your armor and shit.

He claims to use speed so blocking may be a wasted move. Instead ignore his attack as you deliver your own, between your armor, bulk and hide you can take some heavy hits.

Ask Virgil if you should get back to sparring, or what?
>>
No. 401463 ID: b7169d

Tell them not to worry, you've taken harder knocks to the head. Not to mention it's a spar, gotta get hurt sometime.

Should also check on the poor fellow, though ill-advised at it was. It's still a nice gesture.
