>Hope you don't have a fear of being buried alive, and in a panic burst your way out of your container with PANIC STRENGTH.

I try to hit the ceiling of this enclosure. Nothing happens save for a loud "thunk".

My hand is kind of sore after that.

>>149253
>Ok so currently you're either working on something at some place that demands you get strapped into a small space and an accident happened and you bumped your head pretty badly.

Plausible.

I like that idea more than being kidnapped, though.

>Feel around for any containers or anything sharp that would let you cut yourself free. Also check for any radio or communications device. In fact try calling out and see if anything activates.

After some more reaching around, I've noticed a couple more things.

-In front of me there's some sort of dashboard where the buttons are located.

-There are two large depressions in the dashboard that I can fit my arms in. Inside there's some sort of grip. It takes a lot of bending forward to do, with the restraints, but I can just about grasp them.

-They're not very responsive, as I can twist them around but nothing happens.

I have to admit, I'm a little frustrated about all this. I'm yelling quite a bit but-

...One of the buttons are blinking now. It's blinking green.

Ok. Theory, you're in some sort of fighter craft. For some odd fucking reason you're not wearing a helmet. Your craft got disabled and you got knocked out. It's now possibly rebooting.

Press the green button and hope you don't get ejected into something nasty.

>First, feel around on the back of your head.

...I don't notice anything different from what would be normal. I don't exactly remember what was the average back-of-head, but still, no bleeding or increase of pain to the touch. I think this is internal pain.

>Ok. Theory, you're in some sort of fighter craft. For some odd fucking reason you're not wearing a helmet. Your craft got disabled and you got knocked out. It's now possibly rebooting.

....Someone must really hate me to send me on something dangerous without a helmet.

Anyway, here goes with the green button...

Someone's talking to me, but it's coming from inside my head.

It's asking if I'm alright.

I'm not alright, I'm scared.

Well then tell it that you're scared. You require instructions because your injuries have given you atleast temporary amnesia.

>[I queried, are you okay?]

Oh my god.

The pain in my head has gone beyond toleration. It seems like every word I "hear" slams another nail into my brain. Whatever's happening, I'm not ready for it.

>Well then tell it that you're scared. You require instructions because your injuries have given you atleast temporary amnesia.

Right. Right. I can't leave myself out in the dark like this.

"I'm in serious pain and I can't remember anything. I don't remember my name, I don't remember why I'm here, and I want to get out. I'm scared, most of all. This is unknown to me."

Say that you can't remember that either. But you're guessing it's some sort of fighter craft in space. And your damages indicates that you have been in combat fairly recently.

"I can't remember anything. I'm really going by sight and feel, here."

>[Nothing at all?]

"Nothing. All I know is that I'm in the cockpit of something. In space. With many wounds."

>[It is very concerning to consider that you may have memory loss. I have sent out a distress call for now.]

it hurts

Could be a good idea to mention that every word from it feels like a spike being driven into your skull. Verbal communication would be preferable.

Well can you remember anything at all about yourself? So far we don't even have any information about your gender. Name and other stuff is even more distant.
>>
No. 149319 ID: 5eedac

Well, for one thing I can assume is that I'm male, or having a penis wouldn't make much sense.

But that's really all I remember right now. There are somethings I recognize and I don't know why, like the cockpit and some of what it does, but the most menial tasks I can't even do. I can't recall my own name.

>Could be a good idea to mention that every word from it feels like a spike being driven into your skull. Verbal communication would be preferable

"Can I ask you something?"

>[Yes?]

"Is it possible for, maybe verbal communication?"

>[...]

"I wasn't trying to offend you or anything, it's just that it seems like I'm in a lot of pain right now."

>[Understandable. However, I would have to disable the neural interface. Considering your aforementioned injuries, I feel that would bring more harm than good.]

"Is it possible that I could rest for a moment?"

>[Technically, you've been resting for the last 24 hours.]

The voice is dripping with sarcasm. I'm a little embarrassed and also a little pissed.

"I- jeez, I didn't mean it like that-"

>[No, no, it's fine. I don't...]

The voice drifts off.

I suddenly realize how badly I've been roughed up. I was hurting before but I guess I was suppressing it, because just about every body part hurts. More things, though, I'm really tired, despite the fact I've apparently been under for several hours. It's becoming a labor to stay awake.

But I guess my friend here isn't exactly in top shape, either.

"You don't what?"

>[I don't remember anything except I'm your bond, and I think I've failed at that, too.]

Suddenly I feel really bad about this.

"Listen, we might not know each other, but I'm going to find away to get home, alright?"

>[Wherever is home.]

"Yeah, wherever is home. Even if we have to make one ourselves."

I wake up feeling maybe even worse than I did earlier.

It's not a direct pain anymore, but I'm definitely sore all over. The headache has seemed to have subsided, but then again the voice hasn't communicated ye-ASSJFDSDFSJDDJGFFD

[It's good to see you awake.]

This is just dandy.

>Ah, double amnesia. Let's hope they built this thing to be idiotproof. Try to initiate a return to base command. If that doesn't work then try to iniate an emergancy beacon.

"Um, good morning to you too. Do you have a return to base command?"

[I should have it. My primary problem is that I cannot find a nearby base in my database, whether it be through deletion in my memory banks similar to what's happened, or us simply being stranded and too far to receive information with any ISC base.]

"ISC?"

[I'm not entirely sure what that was named for, either. I don't even remember what my call name was.]

Not even the voice remembers anything. I wish I could have a nickname for him or her, but I kind of fear that when we get our memories back I'll think I gave the voice a dumb name.

"Can we launch maybe an emergency beacon?"

[Yes, I've launched a previous distress call before you slept.]

"Has anyone received those distress calls?"

[Two, to be exact. They continue to head towards us, if my radar proves correct. However, they have not responded to previous messages.]

I don't think we're near anything good, if anything at all.

If they responded to the distress call and started moving towards us, but won't respond to our messages...

Either our comm array is broken or they're hostile. Are there any planets nearby? We could try to land and repair the ship.

Another idea is to check to see if there are any emergency medical kits in the interior here.

"Is the communication working? Why wouldn't we get messages?"

[The communications array is running without any major problems.]

"So they're essentially refusing to respond to us?"

[Yes.]

This is not good.

"Are there any planets nearby?"

[None inhabitable mapped out in my database are within minor flight time.]

>Anyway, best to check what weapons are online and what their capacities are.

"What weapons do we have online?"

Good idea. It's entirely possible that we are out of friendly space here. If the guys on the radar are hostile, I'd better be ready to defend myself.

On the other hand, I'm not sure of the extent of the damage we've taken onboard.

[We have one Particle Projection Cannon online.]

"How damaging is that?"

[The cannon is not a primary assault weapon.]

...Fuck.

How quickly can a targeting solution be plotted and then the gun fired?

Because the best bet here might be to play dead in the water and let them get close. Once they're near enough and convinced enough that there is no danger you could activate your weapon and get in a suprise attack.

Unless you could outrun them. In which case you should go to the opposite direction of them while asking for where the nearest habitable planet is. Even if it takes alot of time to get there.

So we either fight with a crappy weapon, run away without any nearby destination...

Or hope they're just going to capture you, instead of blowing up your ship.

The situation is FUBAR.

>How quickly can a targeting solution be plotted and then the gun fired?

I'm not too sure how targeting works. There are these holes/depressions in the dashboards that I can stick my hands in, but I'm not sure what they control.

>Because the best bet here might be to play dead in the water and let them get close. Once they're near enough and convinced enough that there is no danger you could activate your weapon and get in a suprise attack.

I'm not too sure if that would work. I'm not sure how quick the cannon starts up, or how to use it correctly. Maybe the voice does, but I'm still playing it by ear so far. Secondly there's apparently two of them, so I don't think I would get that far.

>Unless you could outrun them. In which case you should go to the opposite direction of them while asking for where the nearest habitable planet is. Even if it takes alot of time to get there.

I'm assuming this will be my main course of action, but I'm not sure these guys would take kindly to a suspicious figure taking up and running.

>So we either fight with a crappy weapon, run away without any nearby destination...

Yep.

>Or hope they're just going to capture you, instead of blowing up your ship.

Yep.

I asked the voice to do it, though. Still no response.

"Hello? You still there?"

No response.

The lights have gone out once again. I hear loud noises from outside- wait, am I supposed to hear in space?

Something is hitting against the ceiling of this cockpit, too.

Well, you could have blacked out for a period, and are no longer in vacuum. But if stuff is banging on you, you can hear the vibrations inside. Not sure what to do at this stage other than try and figure out what's up outside. I'd reccomend scrounging around to try and find some EVA gear, but in the dark that ain't happening.

If they're on the hull you should hear it, the vibrations should travel through the hull and then through the air in the cockpit.

Looks like they got there. And like they disabled your ship. Only thing you can do now is sit tight and wait for what comes next. Atleast you can't give out any sensitive information, since you honestly don't know anything.

I don't have a helmet. And I don't think opening the hatch in space is a good idea.

I don't remember blacking out, I've been conscious more or less for this whole ordeal.

I don't even know what they want with me. Apparently I've pissed them off somehow.

The pounding is becoming more and more rapid and deliberate, and I can hear a steel edge to it, like the object being used to hit my hatch is a knife or something.

Woah, shit!

Something very sharp just came through and it's right above my head. In front of my face.

Ow, shit. I think the area of the ceiling being cut just fell in on me.

I glance up and I can see what seem to be fluorescent lights. But my view is obstructed now by a middle aged man with graying hair and a five o clock shadow.

I can hear what he and some other voices are saying, though they're heavily accented, and I can only catch parts of it in some places.

"Yes, there's someone in here."

When I can get enough time in the day to make a quality quest, Memento, and some other cool stuff will resume.]
