Someone's here. Hi.
I'm not sure how long I've been waiting, but it's been a good while of sitting here, asleep.
The way I work, I need a guiding voice in order to get out of this process.

You'll need to answer a few questions that it provides, so that I can bear the results and head into this world.
Whatever you pick, I won't judge... probably.

First things first. Do you think I should have a name, or remain nameless?
I don't mind, either way. But names might make things easier for people we'll have to talk to, and for you.

Also, if you have any questions, I can try to answer them with what I know. But I don't know all that much.

Well, it's not just one voice that is here, but multiple. Anyways, hello to you too.

A name is a good idea. Dustin sounds good.

So where are we currently? What world are we heading to? Is that a scar on your chest?

Where am I?
All I really know is that I was made here. From what I remember of what my creator told me, there's others like me. After I was made, I was basically kept here to wait until someone came along. Wasn't expecting multiple people, but, the more help, the better, I guess.
What world?
From what I know and remember, it's... a med-evil-ish kind? Not sure what that means. He mentioned swords, shields, magic, and dragons. I do know what those mean, vaguely.
Is this a scar?
Not exactly. More of... a seal. I could pull it open without any pain caused to me, but it's better to leave it closed.

Next question. This one's in a visual format. I think it's arranged visually like this to make it faster to pick.
Which outfit do you want me to start off with, if anything at all?

Alright, there's this thing. And this paper and pencil was on the ground...
Right, I remember. Give me up to three words for a tool or weapon I can use. I don't have much of a preference, but I'd like something I can easily carry around.
I think it said to also consider ammo...

Well we're in a medieval setting, so...

Pistol, three magazines.
If it doesn't work, then...

Crossbow, quiver, bolts.

A pistol and three magazines it is. I know... vaguely what those are. It came with a belt and a holder for the pistol, too.
The magazines (I think. They're the rectangles, right?) are on the belt, on my back.
While I look for the next prompt... magazines (Why are they called that?) store bullets, right? Do you know how many bullets a magazine usually stores?

1040003

Here. Three... things. I think we're nearing the end of this, soon.
There's text below each of them. From left to right:
"DARK ENERGY: Utilize to increase the potency of an action, to bring forth an ally from the depths, and to otherwise lay waste. Set amounts are depleted at a time. Recovers during times of rest."
"SELF ENERGY: Once completely full, this can be used to enhance the subject's form, allowing it access to temporary, powerful techniques. Drains over time when activated, and recovers slowly once fully used up."
"BURST ENERGY: Once charged, use to unleash an unrivaled, powerful technique in one burst. Charged by receiving damage or stress. Can only be used again after rest."

How many bullets in the magazines depends on the type of pistol. Let's say 15. That gives us 45 bullets. In a medieval setting that's more than enough to get by until we're more established and can protect ourselves via other means.
You only have vague knowledge, so let me give you some important safety tips.

1, consider it to always be loaded, even if you know you emptied it. This is important, since if you think it's not loaded you might disregard other safety measures.
2, never point it at anything you don't want to put a hole into.
3, engage the safety mechanism whenever you're not using it.
4, don't leave it unattended, especially around children.
5, practice proper trigger discipline-- only put your finger on the trigger when you are ready to fire the gun.

Do you know how to aim and fire it?

>>1040003
Ah, the presence of magic makes the pistol a bit less impressive... oh well.
I like SELF ENERGY.

Close. Holding the gun with both hands is best, to stabilize it. Also, don't pull the trigger too fast, abrupt movements will mess up your aim.

Any other questions for us before we begin our adventure?
