Anyone here who could attempt to continue this? It's been nearly 4 years since the original author touched it.

Someone already did!

I don't really think anyone is going to want to do this; they'd have to compete with Reaver's pretty darn great art/update speed, most authors are just going to want to make their own thing anyway instead of use someone else's setting, plot, and stories, and there's a reservoir of old bad blood because of some perceived fetishistic elements of the quest (the incest, the blood thing, etc).

Generally, picking up a quest where someone else left off isn't a thing that is done, at least not here.

Furthermore, the incest was taking over the quest in ways that crippled the whole thing.

You would really need to get Reaver's notes on the full background and plot and such before you could justify reviving it at all.

I have this image in my head where they've all been frozen in the same spot, watching the sun rise every day for four years.

The relationship was annoying because Raital was a semi-realistic tsundere aka batshit insane and high maintenance. It would've been just as annoying if she wasn't related to Mudy.

What if Reaver died
>>

The incest is what MADE the quest.

Hahaha, no, let's not even begin to touch on the ridiculous number of issues reviving something without someone's permission or notes could cause.

Let it go, anon. Let it go. Besides, if you want a different author to finish the story, I'm sure that'll go entirely well, and you'll get exactly what you want, as has been evident every time anyone has ever made a fan sequel to something.

At least he finished Knight Blades. To the extent that he kicked the ball to someone else happier to run with it, anyway.

I guess I liked it before the quest was made then?

Why would you possibly think this is a good idea? Let dead quests die.

Reaver isn't dead, he's simply not doing quests. I see him post on Tumblr and stuff.

Unfinished quests're just part of the territory. Really, unfinished projects're part of the territory of any creative field (the game industry has a 90% cancellation rate, lots of books never make it to print, etc.). It's just that you can see serialized works before they're finished. If you really absolutely can't stand seeing an unfinished work, then you might want to consider not perusing serialized works.

(Argh, I accidentally input sage as 'safe' and bumped this thread up.)

Jesus christ when did he start doing all this.
>>
No. 74599 ID: d64f4f

Huh, he drew Raital again just two months ago.
He might want to come back.
>>
No. 74604 ID: a01b62

He doesn't want to come back. He just drew that in response to submissions telling him she was their favorite of his quest characters. It says right there on the description.

If he did come back, it'd be on his own site like that brofist one that I thought was on brofist.me but that redirects to a YouTube page now so either it's dead or that was never it.

MOVE ON

It's clear that this quest meant a lot to you, but it's time to move out of mourning for it.

No. 74682 ID: a01b62

There are plenty of quests that are currently running that have at least as interesting plot/characters or pretty art as Mudy. Like the above said, move on.
