Hello readers and thank you for your interest! Before I start chapter 2, I'd like to hear what you all have to say about the beginning. I think it ended up feeling pretty slow, and the combat took way longer than I'd originally intended. Thoughts?

Joanna Clareton and her 4 soldiers (Jason, Mikael, Murdon, and Dani) discover the truth behind the monster attacks on their home - a rival city has placed a large curse on the nearby fauna. They destroy a small part of the curse, weakening it. We meet a woman named Kroma who tells us that she and Joanna are Valorkin - they have special powers that come at a cost. Chapter 2 will open with meeting a new Valorkin.

And summary: We meet another Valorkin, Rouan the orc hunter. He learns that a Reptilian (lizardfolk) tribe called the Stonespires is in trouble because they are missing their sacred spear. Rouan and a boy named Muko track the spear into the dangerous swamp and find the Grexan orc that stole it. On the way they meet a suspicious creature named Mr. Fox and save some reptils from a bogeyman. They take the spear and the orc thief captive, right before he can escape through a portal back to Grexis. They free Mr. Fox on the way back to the tribe, who is revealed to be a shapeshifter and disappears. They decide to release the orc thief as well and throw a party. Rouan talks to Half-tail, an important tribe member, who gives him a fang necklace that used to belong to Half-tail's brother.

Joanna and co accept a super secret mission to convince a dragon to attack Grexis. They begin training for the trip.


I'm going to be running the quest BULLSHIP (the one with Quigley the minotaur and ARENA) before I start ValorQuest Ch3 so I can kind of get more practice at making quests, and also because I have some fun things planned for it.

I'm starting to feel like ValorQuest was way too ambitious for my first quest, due to plot complexity / number of characters / etc etc etc. Anyway BULLSHIP will probably be updating multiple times a day for a few days a week.
