Hey guys I was wondering how you would feel about a warhammer 40K text quest.

I frankly am a little disappionted at the lack of 40K content so I have been spit balling ideas for a 40K quest similar in nature to Hero Quest which was on /tg/ for a time only less weeaboo, however I would like to know if this would interest anyone before I turn it into a full production.

I have ideas writen out have, GM'd games, and am a good writer despite the fact I have a little trouble with punctuation and grammer.

I wont give any plot detials lets just say you will play a significant character to the plot of 40K, will not be forced to join a side, and it stats off a little wonky because I needed a plot twist in order for the players to use said character.

And spelling, apparently. =P

Sounds like fun to me, although I don't know anything about 40k besides that everyone wears fucking ridiculous shoulder armor.

I have thought about orks but something of that nature I do not think I can do justice to. however will there be ork allies maybe

Significant in the fact that he was part of the plot and then cast aside. What I have found is that 40K has such a MASSIVE story base that you can allow anything to happen as long as it doesn't involve the awakening of the emporer, the death of a chaos god, or the destruction of an entire "significant race."

I understand most people do not understand 40K plot (many who play probably don't even understand the significance of my name) and plan at the begining to provide a brief synapse of the character you are playing a summary of the story. However anything if there is any confusion as to what something is mention it and either me or someone else familiar to the 40k universe will explain.

Also to those 40K vets yes I will be taking some liberties with the plot but I will try to do nothing to out ridiculas (although now that I think about it thats really up to you guys.) Over all I am still working on it and in the end hope to do it once a week.

Sounds like you know your stuff. With that kind of familiarity with the background, I'm sure you can come up with cool, I just doubt most of us will get the subtleties of how your quest interweaves with the canon plot.

But no matter, fun can still be had by all, just in varying degrees of appreciation.

I GM for Dark Heresy its a requirement.
and I don't plan on getting involved in cannon plot maybe a refrence or two. Its more the weapons, races, vehicles, and politics. I feel I am going to be having to explaing. But the reason why I am making this in quest instead of text is so I can provide images as refrence meterial.
Don't know what a lasgun is see pic, don't know what a titan is look at pic, don't know who Lemun Russ is see Horo. (somewhere a space wolf player screams)
