Soon after I began Bubble Bucket it came to mind that I wanted to do another quest in which I spent more time on the panels, so it was a high quality drawing in which I am capable of when I care to. It wouldn’t be as strict and rules/mechanics based like Bubble Bucket is and would then be following the Rule of Cool.

I don’t want to actually begin this until Bubble Bucket reaches its conclusion, so I won’t. I do however want to begin working on it early so I can get enough planned so I’m not scrambling to prepare after my first completed quest.

Instead of beginning the quest with a large series of questions about the character, I’m going to allow tgchan to help me build the main character before it begins at all. Giving me time to take the rough molded character from my players/audience and create a final product. I don’t like the idea of just throwing together a new character on the fly and trying to run with it, but at the same time I know a good portion of /quest/ loves to have a hand in the spark of life of the Protagonist(s).

I will spoil early that any really good ideas from the Genesis stage will possibly be written and drawn into the quest as it goes further down the line.

First Step: Voting on a major race from my Brackets world for the main character(s). (Note: Only vote on the main race, all information after the colons is simply to provide a good idea what you will be voting on next).

Bubble Touched/Dragons: Mostly live in the Rainbow Islands, over a dozen clans, and 6 base colors and abilities. Considered the most human/normal race on the planet.

Furry: A good portion of the continents of Mingxia and Amaranton. Varied degrees of animal humanoids, from almost entirely human to so animal it hurts.

Monster: Feys and atrocities are the most physically diverse group. Monster sub-races vary from the obscenely beautiful to the incredibly horrifying.

Robots: Artificially sentient metal and synthetic friends. Sub-races go from Junk robots to Bioandroids. Robots are fun for the whole family.

Undead: In the Brackets universe, they don’t suffer from the usual weaknesses that you would expect. And since the undead choices are a lot different and I don’t do vampires, I’ll include the types available: Ghoul, Skeleton, Shadow, Wraith, and Puppet.

And there we have it. Humans are not available choices. I’m starting the vote now, and will tally up the votes and go to the next step in a couple of days. If there’s a tie, I’ll choose for myself/flip a coin.

I guess I'll vote C. And I like the Shy mask. Unfortunately I can't think of a name that would fit.

I vote A, but I ALSO vote that we actually have no face at all. Just skin stretched across the front of the head. Maybe folded up at the chin to expose a mouth.

And to re-iterate:

Mask: Calm

Name: Belial (Bel-eel)

D, most definitely. I look forward to the opportunities that may arise to inform others that they have overlooked one of our key assets, then shout "TENTACLES" before they can respond and swiftly use said appendages to solve the current problem.

Part 5 A.
Calligraphy of Blade
Draw, Describe, or Picture(lazy ass) a weapon, or weapons for her to use.

I will keep in mind that I want it to be a two handed weapon whether that’s like having two knives, or a large axe. Similar to Round 3, I will select my favorites, and the most vouched for concepts and doodle bases for them for you guys to vote on.

Although our protagonist is limited to the winners of these rounds, I do intend to try and keep some of your dreams alive.

Round 3B and 4A End.

The Watcher. Shy.

The Devourer and Happy will be used for party members, I can't ignore near landslide votes, even when they don't win.

It pretty much does, but I will take into consideration that people like guns and create a more modern/futurey campaign later on. The setting is pretty ancient but I was going to let Robot slide if it won.

No futuristic weapons, or firearms.

A knife for every tentacle, she'll be a whirling death machine the moment she gets over her shyness and shows what she's got. Also doubles as a rapid fire throwing weapon.

Tentacles, everywhere. Let's put them to use people.

Round 5 A Over.
Belial: Crossbow and Knives.
Magic Chainsaw, Polearm, and obligitory sword for companions.

Round 5 B.
What kind of special power should Belial have?

I'll wait a few hours for this one and actually have a vote. The weapon ideas were too good and fitting to vote.

Witch healer.

She's a witch healer who lives/lived alone in a town offering her services to people. Her obviously unnatural features tolerated only because of the lifes she saves and the good she does. Until she fails to save a life or reveals what she really is hiding underneath the robes (mayby to a friend who she had a crush on, who then promptly fled in terror), and then it's time to leave again as the townfolk burn the monsters home.

Hey, pay no mind. I'm just thinking why she would have this power and be so shy. Healer.

All not so savory witch goodies included would be nice if not hugely useful. The things townfolk would ask: Curses, hexes, protection from such and similiar low level rituals.

Seconding, with the proviso that she does it by sacrificing mass; pressing tentacles over the wound and severing them, whereupon they fuse in and copy the surrounding flesh.

Yeah, I like things creepy.

Having no one find out about it would be as simple as sedation or blindfolding and binding.

Woah, I can go with this. Said tentacles would of course regenerate slowly like all good tentacles do.

Make her Belial's creepy mother.
Bel: *sniff*
Ma: Oh, you poor thing. That skinny bitch was wrong for you anyway. Want me to eat her?
Bel: No, mom. I- just leave her alone, okay?
Ma: I wish your father was here, he was always so good with these kind of things.
Bel: You ate him mom.

I like the idea of spooktacular healing powers. Either sacrificing bits of her own tentacles until they grow back or just the ability to make various types of beneficial potions out of things like flesh and bone taken from living or at least only-recently dead creatures. Maybe call it necromantic alchemy or something.

That works. Strikes sort of a happy, deliciously creepy medium between general "Witchcraft" and "Healing". It also could offer some very interesting possibilities for advancement in power later on. I'd like to reiterate my support for the concept of necromantic alchemy, but in this form.

Thank you very much for all your participation. I am rather surprised with the exception of that power round. I only see like three ideas and I implemented them appropriately and just spent a long while writing up all the characters basic shells. Stay tuned and enjoy Bubble Bucket while it lasts.
