... for Ace Combat-oriented quest, using a SRW-esque seishin system and DH's roll-under-on-D% for damn near everything.

Thoughts/suggestions/FUNDITs etc.

That depends. Is it a text quest, or an image quest?

Art please.

It'll be text. I can't draw worth a damn and none of my arty friends are willing.
Maybe you'll get *really really bad* diagrams if I feel they're necessary.

then no, part of SRW style is the move animations. without those it would be kinda blah.

Arguable, and the afficiandos of SRW Quest on /m/ will tell you otherwise.
Painting pictures with words, here.

Depends on how well you can write.
Bob's quests are the gold standard, see if you can measure up to his. That and a rapid update speed just might get you an actual audience in a text quest.

There is no reason to post an "interest check". It's very difficult to judge whether an quest would be interesting or not without seeing any of it. Just post your thread to see if people will find it interesting (pro-tip: text quests are much less likely to be interesting.) At worst it ends up in the graveyard.

Meh, maybe I should just try on /m/ then.

Someone should do a SRW based quest though, I think it would be interesting as long as you invent nice mechs to use.... hmmmm, time to break out those old sprites I made (muuuuhhaaaaaaaaa)[spoiler]oh wait crap, computer crashed and wiped, I have nothing T.T[,spoiler]

For the record, I don't think I could do an illustrated fighter jet quest. Drawing jets consistently every update would be a nightmare. Plus, at realistic combat distances, you'd never see the enemy as more than a radar blip or possibly a dot.

But really, we can't tell how good it will be until we see it in action.

well the SRW style would be an over map and zoom in to display actions. it would be sprite based in much the same way Problem Sleuth was sprite based. just a cache of poses and stuff that you just move around.
