Oh, and, is this some kind of Forest Tumyu? I can't say if Aeora has a tail (we never got an angle that would either prove or disprove that), but I'm definitely not seeing any horns or claws on our princess.

Aeora has a floofy little tail, and only male Tumyus have horns.

I am happy to be back! Have some more unused junk! Wow I might actually have to use a NAME here!

>>339481
what Lawyerdog posted is correct, Aeora has a little poof of a tail but no claws or horns, and Tumyu males have always been a bit of a mystery. The choice to make Nameless more 'predatory' than their deer-esque original male plans was more for emphasis.

Because it is a pilot sergal, silly. If the wings and long neck don't give it away, the hat should.

Sergals were actually based on that guy from Legendz, there's a picture of Rain from 2003 where she looks a lot like that guy. The design got a bit different until it peaked and got standard-ish in 2006.

The underlines I usually do before tribaling the scenes up to look like the style I usually do these things in! Also a practice in design for that one NPC.

>346285
Neat. I feel like I'd be disappointing alot of people if I just said I based the Reshishi off of camels now, at this point...

n e ways good news: I have what I want to do next figured out

mediocre news: it will probably be mostly cutscene due to the nature of explanation

bad news: terraria just came out and I cannot escape

Since this is kinda the place to discuss your quest and art and whatnot, I just want to say that while I think you've got a great ability to draw, you tend to make things a bit too psychedelic and colorful for me. It makes it too much of a chore to take in and interpret.

I agree with this sentiment. The art is one of the biggest draws for bluewine's stuff.

Also the latest couple updates look like they'd make really nice prints for sundresses.

I'm sorry. I tend to draw what I like - bright colors, strange shapes, patterns on patterns on patterns. If I could tone it down, I would - but this is what comes natural, and thus, fastest and with the best quality at that speed. Is it the palette, or just the style?

Don't trouble yourself. It's clearly just me. A fault in the way I perceive things, apparently. It's difficult for me to put it into words; it's as if at times I can see the greatest pictures glimmering through but for the most part it's shrouded in a layer I can't penetrate. Poetically vague and obtuse, I know, but apparently your style is your charm and your draw, so lest more threats upon my person be received I shall withdraw my critique.

It's not entirely just you, I agree that some of the more abstracted images it is difficult to tell what's going on. But that doesn't stem from the art being colorful. And I personally feel that the aesthetic value of the art far outweighs the slight hindrance to understanding.

maybe you shouldn't have eaten more psychadelic tree sap if you wanted to have visual understanding

Nah, I'm kidding. Seriously, I'm sorry if some of this stuff is vague, uninteresting, or unintelligible visually. It doesn't help that due to it being summertime I'm usually hopped up on allergy medicine so that I can step outside of my bubble-esque room to see sunlight now and then.

I appreciate all of you and your opinions, even if they make me sad that my love of paper cut-outs and textures does not overlap with my love of getting a point across.

Ha I know that feeling man. Seriously things are fucked up when you actually look foward to cold, wet winter just because there's no pollen.

A thing I can relate to. Until a few years ago I used to have one half of my face swollen for the whole July every year.

I personally don't mind your pattern/background style at all. It's part of the quest's charm.

Your stuff mostly works pretty okay, though. It's hardly a large issue.

Hey!

I feel bad saying this, but I have to put down some closure and quit leaving this hanging.

Due to the constant influx of important things I need to do and things taking up my time, I'm not continuing Story Time. I feel like I cheated out some of you with picking it up again but as it turns out I just can't keep up. I'm not leaving the chan, I'll still read your quests and do the occasional fan art, but Story Time is on the shelf for the foreseeable future. I want to thank all of you for your time, patience, fan art, and advice. You've made it a wonderful journey. I hope to see you soon!
