In the last episode, Mu was tutored by the mountain goblin Quan. After harsh trieals, Mu finally mastered the Demon Flash Step, a powerful technique for fast movement. All was not fun and roses, as Quan succumbed to the Demon Fury during the final test. Mu battled the demon with audacity, and was at death's door when the Mysterious Lady Min intervened.

Afterwards, Lady Min beseeched Mu to come to her valley's aid, as it is besieged by a band of brigands. Mu agreed.

This is their journey.

It's the sunset. Damn Ling Pu.
*sigh* Yeah it's true. I'm a construct. That damn witch wasn't too careful about what she used for ingredients either. Restless dead, minor spirits, wisps, I think there's even a bit of demon in there.

I think you should go inside. Let the man think it was a dream, or some such. As is.... it is unlikely you could say anything to him that would end with him in a better state than he is now. Further reminding him of the pain he felt would not be a thing one does to an old friend.

So for now, go inside, and check on Mu.

Maybe later, the kid can do something for him.

If Mu is to become a gret martial artist, if Mu is to become a Dragon in his own right, even as you guide him, there must be times he can act and decide his course on his own.

And really, in a bar fight, the odds are good he can handle himself.

If you are genuinely worried, get close enough to see how he is doing, but don't do anything unless he looks to be in danger?

so uhh, just how struck are you by that archer's arrow? I mean, if you think you can still fight now would be the time to just screw not letting them know you can Flash Step and going all out.

But if you don't think you can keep fighting, then I suppose running is the best option.

Mu feebly staggers towards the exit as the guards laugh at his efforts.

Demon arts time.

Charge in between guards, use one DF to finish closing distance, then one DF kick to the face each.

Since I really doubt they are going to let you surrender, this seems like the best chance, if you are lucky someone nearby will rescue you because they wanted those guys beaten up.

This one, charge those two bastards and kick their faces in. Hopefully someone in the bar will keep you from getting killed, having people getting killed is not really good publicity for bars.

As a child, you managed to get out fine from being trapped underwater, suffocating, with a big rock on your chest.

An arrow in the shoulder is going to take you out? After all the times you survived Zhao? After the pummeling Quan The Goblin gave you? It is one wound, only one, focus on that, draw resolve from it. And focus.

If Mu does indeed pass out then we need the demon toad to get in there.

Berate the guard for nearly killing what is obviosly a weakminded simpleton with a good heart. I mean who else would pick a fight with armed guards over a barmaid? And with such incredibly lame one liners? The kid has obviosly been hit in the head once to many by his master.

In short shame the bastards for beating up a retard.

Also, Mu, don't you fucking dare to pass out or the toad will bring up this story every time your about to get lucky. Imagine it, an immortal freaky toadthing cockblocking you for the rest of your life. You had better focus your chi to stop the bleeding and then run like a motherfucker.

I doubt the guards are going to care that he's just some idealistic punk, he just kicked one of their heads around. That's some serious shit.

It's not so much about making the guards care as it's about making the innkeeper and customers care. Killing an idealistic punk in cold blood while everyone knows he's a bit weak in the head is different from killing some random guy that attacked them.
