You climb down the ladder and return to Kyaos' room. You can feel the room vibrating slightly, it sounds like the fight's underway. Tav told you to either meet up with Aggeia, or try to find another way out. Where should you go first?

You feel strangely compelled to pilfer the light apparatus from the shelf. The ENGSAMI KNIFE is to small for your large hands to effectively grip tight enough to wrench it from the wall. You'll have to leave it there.

>>71202
You head to the room in which you were supposed to meet up with Aggeia again. Not much has changed. You hear a faint noise coming from the drain.

You agree to help Aggeia with her "business." She shimmies out of the drain, brushing herself off, and motions you to follow her back into the main hall. She approaches the double doors and then turns to you.

"Where's Tav? We could probably use his fire power."

You explain the situation with Tav and Kyaos.

"I'm not going to lie. This could get very dangerous, for both of us. If I don't make it, find Tav and take the large stone door to the left here to the docks. Grab a LANDSHIP and get the hell out of here."

Fire doesn't hurt so long as no part of you is in contact for more than a fraction of a second. Spin, Dem, spin yourself around with your wings held out wide! The breeze should prevent all but a few tongues of flame from flickering over you.

He probably has to close his eyes when he lets loose that flame. If you move towards him as you spin, the motion will build up momentum and you can unleash a mighty JUDO CHOP.

Your wings are for moving about with, after all. Fragility of the bones aside, the muscles should be about as much stronger than regular arms as legs are.

Ok, right. We've set it up. Deme's been using upper body for the last few attacks - particularly, with a big, heavy, intimidating, and above all attention-grabbing cudgel. That is what he will focus on.

Now, Deme. This will hurt, but not as much as being killed. If you're only exposed to fire for a short moment, if you keep moving, it won't badly injure you. I suggest that you attack with the cudgel. He will use the fire, I think, and probably block it again, but that's ok; use the momentum to swing under as quick as possible and drive your leg up under his ribs.

Either that, or she was in the cell, got let out, saw you, but you didn't notice due to drugs and left, in which case her question is very direct and applicable to the situation.

What exactly is she wearing? If it's the latter possibility, she should be in rags or at least something suitable to a prisoner. From cursory inspection, she seems to be wearing a nightdress, which not either of those things, and would support the former possibility.

We took some scraps of cloth from the engsami's coat to do a quick bandage on Aggeia's shoulder. They'll both probably need a doctor before they can really heal, but this is a good start to hopefully last until we get out of this damn fortress. I also lifted a set of large keys off the engsami, I suppose he was the "Chieftan" that weirdo in the leather was talking about. We head back to "The Pit" and it's just a matter of matching the large key to the lock and then just helping them all up the wall. I gave the most able looking one, Unt'okel, I think I remember seeing him in the experimental panzer devision, the AXE and he volunteered to watch our back.

Now we gotta find a way out. We can't take the tower out with Demesi incapable of flying, and Aggeia unable of climbing with her wounded arm and Demesi hanging off her. The door to our left (camera side) is locked. At the end of this hallway, there is a large stone double door, and just past the doors to the chieftan's room is a single large stone door with a chain winch attached to it.

And explosion has rocked your ship. You look back at the fortress resting atop the dunes, fading into the haze of dust being kicked up by your ship. It appears cannons mounted among battlements lining the roof of the fortress are shelling the area around your vessel. There is a large cloud of dust that seems to be gaining on you. Tav has ordered the other Lohrke bellow deck, telling any of them capable of fighting to look for any kind of weapon they can get their hands on. The one Tav called Unt'okel continues to man the steering apparatus, claiming that he has the most experience driving large vehicles.

Tav blasts the chunk of wall the lower grappling hook has latched onto, sending the hook and the climbing engsami tumbling into the desert sands. Aggeia sets about cutting through the other rope that's attached to the upper level. A resounding BOOM echoes across the wastes as a plume of sand rises into the air, along with the limp bodies of a Sand sail and it's rider, you suppose the Lohrkes found a cannon.

Your confidence regarding the situation quickly drops as the remaining Sand sails spread their fins and leap into the air, catching the strong desert winds digging their claws into the deck.
