I planned to start a quest as soon as Granny's revenge ends.

The protagonist is going to be a creature born from a magical mutating curse called the "Weird".

And i decided to let the suggester create the character itself!

Let's start with gender and race.

- Male or Female?

and then choose one from these Races:

- Human: Your standard fantasy human. Used as a measurement for the otehr races. They have the ability to link to a single magical element.

- Dwarf: Slower and shorter than a human, but more resilient and strong. They have the ability of move around in complete darkness thanks to a special sixth sense. Their race has an affinity for earth and fire magic.

- Ranida: Less intelligent than humans, slightly shorter and physically weaker, but way more agile and able to stay underwater for long times. They also possess prehensile tongues that can extend to up their body lenght. The race has an affinity for water magic

- Goblin: Shorter and weaker than a human, way more intelligent than any race in the world, but affected by chronic depresssions. They have good reflexes and are able to craft things easily. They have an affinity for air magic.

- Orc: Tallest and strongest race, but incredibly obtuse and stupid. They are able to withstand extremely high or extremely low temperatures and great amount of pain. They have no affinity for magic.

- Faelkin: Similarly to the humans, they can link themselves to a single magical element. Their race is also divided in several subraces (depending on the type of birds that is chosen, the bonuses/maluses will change). They are unable to fly and suffer from fear of heights as a whole race.

- Elf: Weaker than a human, but more elegant and dexterous. Their bodies are really frail but their senses are incredibly amplified. They have an affinity for air, fire and water magic.

- Houndling: Another race divided in different subraces (depending on the breed of dog chosen, the creature might be strong and resilient but slower and dumber, or small and charismatic). they have an affinity for earth and water magic.

Male DEMON

A spirit with the power to possess enemies and sacrifice them to gain permanent stat increases for himself. Each possession requires a Gestalt Charge. Charges replenish over a period of approximately 10 years and last for up to 30 years. Spirit will die if his latest possession victim dies and he has 0 charges remaining. Spirit automatically sacrifices his host when he possesses another target. Spirit can last without a host for up to 30 minutes while using a Gestalt Charge to possess a new host, the actual time based on how much remaining shelf life his Gestalt Charges have.

CORGI: Short (doesn't have reach with legs and arms, but can fit in smaller places), amicable (bonuses to charisma and befriending others) that also suffer when alone (can't stay alone for too long or will have repercussions on your brain)

SCHNAUZER: Short (doesn't have reach with legs and arms, but can fit in smaller places), incredibly healty (Doesn't get sick easily, resistances to poisons), really noisy (difficult to move silently and doesn't help with befriending people)

COLLIE (ROUGH COATED) Medium size, incredibly intelligent (bonuses to intelligence), but with an adversion to water and water magic

HUSKY Medium size, Incredibly energetic (bonuses to stamina), but gullible.

ST.BERNARD Large size (Large reach with arms and legs, but has difficulties on moving in smaller places), Incredibly strong (bonuses to strenght), but rather lethargic.

Now it's time to apply the Weird template, and choose a background!.

"The Weird" is a curse, born from unknown spells back in the ancient times when dragons still roamed the lands, that can affect fetuses from time to time.

The weird manifests in multiple mutations in the host's body and look. Some of those aren't noticeable or easy to see, others can completely transform the creature in a horrid mess of limbs and eyes. Mutations might also have helpful or hinder the mutant. Not many survive after being born as a weirdling, many are killed immediately, others do not survive enough. Some kingdoms creates hunts and purification pyres for them. But it's possible that, thanks to the love of their parents or thanks to the benevolence of good people, they can even manage to survive long enough to become adults. Yet, their lives will never be easy.

BACKGROUNDS:

Bookworm: You have spent most of your life hidden in a secret library or monastery, being fed and protected by kind people that weren't afraid of your look. They also gave you complete access to the tomes they possessed, and thanks to inhability of having a normal life, you spent most of your time studying. This background grants you the ability of having a good amount of knowledge about the world, albeit theorical.

Urchin: Raised by a outlaw or another type of shady figure that saw profit in your mutation, you learnt how to survive in the streets, hiding in almost plain sight. This background allows you to know how to read a person movement and to locate the best places where you can hide.

Initiate: Saved (or perhaps even bought) by a wizard, interested in studying the effect of this magical curse (or even use you as a guinea pig). During your time spent with this person, you learnt a trick or two by just looking at him/her. This background will allow you to cast a couple of spells (unfortunately, due to your subrace, you will be limited to only earth magic)

Brawler: Sold as a slave in the underground fighting pit, you have learnt what it means to hurt someone where it hurts most. THis background will allow you to know how to find a weak spot on an enemy after studying it.

Personally I wanted a Medium mutation Urchin, but bookworm and low mutation were both my second choice in each polls. I think it could be neat to roll with a character who has a large breadth of knowledge about the world, but is very sheltered and lacks experience.

LIST OF MUTATIONS

Quills Your back is covered in long thin spikes, making it difficult for you to sleep on your back or even hide them. They can be removed and used as weapon or tools. and will grow back quickly.

Antenna You have two small antennas on your head, which allows you to feel the flow of magic better, but making your body more receptive to magic as well (which means, might give you stronger spells, but it will also mean that spells will have more effect on you.

Empowered healing factor Your body can enter a state of coma to accelerate the healing of wounds. It won’t be able to save you from a deadly wound, but can fix broken arms and deep cuts. While you are in the state of coma you are unable to sense anything near you. Your body also need more food to sustain yourself.

Sound imitation You are able to alter your voice to make it sound completely different. You are also able to mimic other’s people voice perfectly. Your mutations might not be visible immediately, but if anyone checks the interior of your mouth, he/she will easily notice the mutation on your tongue and throat

Claws Your fingers end in dagger-like claws, strong enough to rip flesh from the bone, but making it difficult to manipolate objects.

Extra eyes You have an extra set of eyes, that can move separatedly to your main set of eyes. If the eyes are not focusing on the same field of view, your entire field of view doubles. This might cause strains on your brain if you use it too much

Longer limbs You are born with longer limbs (arm or legs). Granting you more range with them, but making it difficult to hide them.

Horns You grow horns on your head, strong enough to deflect blows and can be used as weapon.

Bone-plated spine Your spine grows a variety of large and small bone plates that works as natural armor on your back. It also allow you to not sustain too much damage on your spine from blows or falls.

Poison glands You have poison glands growing on your neck, making you able to inject poison with your bites. It also makes you resistant to poison

Nightvision Your eyes are able to see in complete darkness. Your eyes are easy to notice if not hidden, your eyesight is slightly worse than a normal person in normal light.

Enlarged muscled arm One of your arms is larger and more muscular, making you rather asymmetric. The arm is incredibly more stronger than the rest of your body, but it makes it difficult to balance yourself.

Double Brain You don’t have to sleep to rest your brain. Instead you can switch to your secondary brain and do things. You do not keep the memories whenever you switch brain. You only remember who you are, but not what you were doing or where you are. Your body still need to rest, when necessary. The back of your head is slightly bigger than normal, giving it a bulbous look.

Multiple arms You have a pair of smaller arms, weaker than your normal arms. They allow you to manipulate multiple things at once.

Arm/tentacle One of your arm is replaced by a long tentacle, making it more difficult to manipulate minute things, but granting you a longer reach and a really strong grip on things.

Clarovoyance You have a third eye on your head, that is always closed but opens from time to time, granting you a vision from the future. You have no control on when it activates.

Extra digits Your hands have more than the usual amount of fingers. Your sense of touch and your ability to manipulate objects. They are really, really difficult to hide.

Multiple joint Your limbs have multiple joints, allowing you to twist and turn them into weird combinations and poses.

Split jaw Your jaw is able to open up to a 120 degrees.

Tongue-whip You have a tongue similar to a ranida. Strong and able to stretch to double your height. Having such tongue makes it so you talk in a funny way (unless you are talking to ranidae, they will think to have finally met someone that can speak correctly).

Mindblast You possess a small deformity in your skull, usually resulting in a weird single horn on your forehead. You can focus your mind on the tip of the horn and release a strong blast of energy in a short cone. Doing this leaves you exhausted for a while. The tip of the horn is also really sensitive.

Large ears Your ears are larger and more sensitive than normal. You are able to pick up any sound, loud sounds will hurt you

Multiple mouths You possess multiple mouths, usually located on your stomach or on your shoulders and hands. You can speak through these mouths and use them to bite others. If you talk without thinking too much, all the mouths will speak together, giving a weird noticeable echo to your talk.

Leg it! Your legs become more animal-like, but enhables you to jump or sprint quite well

As an initiate you are able to cast 4 spells

- Seal of protection You are able draw a magical rune on yourself that will protect you against a specific type of energy or a single attack made against you. You can only have a single Seal at a time (thanks to the mutation, your Seal can take up to two phyisical attacks made against you). It takes 2 minutes to draw the rune and enchant it.

- Trap You are able to draw a small magic circle on any surface made of stone, soil, mud, earth. Whenever you want to activate it, the circle will burst in a small explosion. It takes 5 seconds to draw and enchant the circle. the activation is vocal and can only be activated when the voice is within 20 meters.

- Burden You are able to curse a single target by pointing at it. The target will feel overcumbered and tired, as if it was wearing tons of materials on itself.

- Skipping stone You are able to hurl a small rock within 3 meters of you with the speed and strenght of a crossbow bolt. (thanks to your mutation you can either pick multiple rocks or empower the strenght and speed of the spell)
