Maybe, but there are some things to consider.

All the light was stolen away. No light means no sight. Mostly I've been picturing the world through feeling about.

I could see the monster. Even though most of the time it was just a fuzzy blob I could SEE IT. Unless the place Im in makes very odd security devices...

Ugh, I just hope there aren't any more of them.

I just put the ID card into the computer. It seemed to work fine, don't know why it would activate a security device, not sure what it would activate at all. It really sounded like a starting screen, I haven't heard of the ID cards being used to store programs or functions, but I never did pay attention when my dad was working.

The new thing...Im not sure about it. I remember it got really loud when the creature was closing in that first time. I ignored it then because I was about to get eaten...but...Im not sure if it's connected to the computer. I'd have to examine it to find out.

Wait. There's no light. But the miniature Ur-quan thing you killed was luminescent? Are the remains still glowing? If so, you could use the corpse as a light source! At least to read the computer or something.

I think you have misunderstood me.

ALL light was stolen, even things that normally emit light, like lightbulbs and computer screens, darkness. It's like being blind.

That thing wasn't luminescent, it was defying the nature of the universe, or at least this small bit of it that has lost its light...

As a general rule, If it's glowing it's something felt beyond just touch.

For example the strange feeling I got when the monster appeared in the room, or the odd pull of the thing in the vent.

Or the heat of the lightbulb in room 1
