My guess is that we just opened the doors to an area that had previously been flooded with a flood trap.

Let's not flip any of the yellow ones until we are certain what they do.

Let's wait a while after shutting the door, see if the water level goes down, and if not we'll see what we can do then.

It could be sort of inconvenient if the mine floods completely. Can we seal that off and just let the water run to the chasm?
...Or, looking at the map, is the mine at the same floor level as the other rooms and that is not a concern? hard to tell.

Check the water level, discuss the water level and doors with Heshka (particularly the theories that they are either a water irrigation system malfunctioning or a previously activated flood trap) and then build a fire, roast some mushrooms and ask Heshka "Heshka. What is best in life?"

OK, there's a river or something around here, that water has to come from somewhere. These levers operate those doors to flood that room for some reason, and the other one drains it out into the chasm. I don't know what the other four levers do, but I can assume one of them floods everything with lava. I want to avoid that one.
