> "near as i can tell it's magic. you need to die before it can take you over, other taken over things are the usual way they spread it."
"Look, officer, this is hard to explain. It's some kind of magic or paranormal shit...I know this is going to be hard to understand and all, but they possess people and to do so they have to kill them."
"They do? The Chief didn't look like a walking dead to me, as far as I know. At this point I guess I can believe that something got to him. He wouldn't just turn on his own man like that."
> maybe we should tell him he needs medical attention and we don't have time to give him the full story.
"Sir, you need medical attention. Perhaps we can - "
"Probably. Don't worry about me. It's not stopping the flow, but I've got some bandages on the wound at the moment. As long as I don't move around too much I should be okay for a bit. Eventually some people will come by. I figured they'd be here by now though."
> Tell him everything you know except for the part about being told that you caused all this.
Rina proceeds to tell the officer everything: what happened at the forest, the house of the male raccoon, the hospital, and her condominium. Rina also gives everything she knows about the Darkness and the Light. She, however, does not mention the Darkness's blaming of her for everything. The officer does not look convinced even if he is paying close attention to her words.
"Sounds like you've been through alot. Ever since that incident has been reported, weird things have been happening around here, and now this. Your story is strange...almost unbelievable, but I don't suppose you'd lie about your experience. Either way I need to think on it."
"There's a lot that I still don't know. This is insane, I know."
> "Fire kills the black goo, there's some monstrous mass of it outside the city, the hospital is holding an asylum inmate that knows more about this than I do - he's a convicted killer but it seems like that was a black goo zombie.
Could you point that at not me? Makes it hard to think."
"Fire seems to be a good weapon against the black goo. The hospital is holding an asylum inmate that knows mo-"
"Asylum inmate? You mean Harry Saunders, the guy you saw me take over here FROM the hospital? After the chaos, he ran by here from his cell, saw me, and just ran out. I'm surprised he didn't just finish me off, seeing as how he is nothing but a sadistic, violent scumbag."
"Okay, okay. Still, Harry knows some more about this, obviously more than I do." The officer looks away and chuckles.
"Looks like you'll have to track him down then. Eventually some of the others should find him before you though." Rina notices the officer is keeping his firearm steady. It is apparent he still does not trust her.
"Could you point that gun away from me, please? It's hard for me to think with it all in my face." He glares back up at Rina.
"I don't know about that. You still have to let me know just why you're here at this time."
