Revolution... Evolution... Change in shape and form...
The nuclear fires bathed the land and claimed it as its own. Twisted and mangled, those to witness would never recognize... Not only the wasteland, but what remains of its inhabitants and their way of life...
But war... War never changes...

I haven't even seen a Deathclaw before! Let's focus on current problems, and just try to get the water chip without too much fuss. You can deal with (and by deal with I mean launch tactical nukes at) deathclaws if it becomes a problem.

Hoo boy, Tactical Nukes. I see [more] radiation poisoning in the future.

This is the wasteland. Optimism gets you killed here. I simply meant that if we go to meet the deathclaws we have no way of dealing with them if they want to kill us. Which is very likely as they are the meanest bastards in this god for-saken desert. So we shouldn't just be waltzing up to them going, "Top of the morning mister deathclaw! Might you join me for a cup of tea?"

You see, you could have easily avoided this all if you had simply posted that, rather than posting what you did. All in all, you pretty much made a poor choice in that respect.

Damn are we going to 28 or 30?! Make up your god damn mind already!

teehee~ Calm down honey, they're just as confused as we are. Give them a second to get oriented.

yeah well they're also very bipolar.

Listen guys we're not quite sure where you want to send us so we'll recap our choices.
Vault 30 is not to far but there's deathclaws in the surrounding area.
Vault 28 is a little farther away but we can stop in those ruins we saw early this morning.
Honey and I will just wait here until you can agree on our heading.

Vault 28 to avoid being mauled. And if we meet the deathclaws later and they're friendly I am going to feel like such an ass.

lets go to vault 28. if we encounter a deathcalw and it's hostile we will die. even power armor provides no protection from there claws, and they are tough enough to shrug off a 40 mm grenade.

It's a person I think. It's got black armor made of metal and is breathing heavily like a machine. Do you think it's dangerous guys? What should we do?
>>

Oh good job guys. Instead of going to visit the friendly and huggable deathclaws, you brought us face-to-face with a heavily armed super mutant. Great going!

Okay, I think the obvious choice of action here is to remain undetected. Go around.

Machines don't breathe, silly! That's a soldier in POWER ARMOR!

Keep watch, there may be others about... Wait, BLACK armor? Weird. The Brotherhood wear Grey armor, and the Enclave wear Green. This guy is either with NCR, or maybe a wanderer. It's unlikely that he's Brotherhood, so he won't rob you, the other guys are dead or friendly respectively, and Cannibal Rapists lack the coordination to utilize power armor.

Either way, just keep watching him. Do you hear gunfire or animalistic roars, and is he injured?

The enclave was disbanded years ago. He is either a remnant and probably won't hurt you. Or a very successful wanderer who would really have nothing to gain by hurting you. He should be friendly but stay where you can dive to cover if necessary.
>>
No. 357926 ID: d82cf6

ffffFFFFFit's the enclave. be very, very careful. these guys are the ultimate foil to the bug/human friendship thing you've got going on there. if they don't outright kill you, they'll capture you and perform outrageous experiments that'll make you wish they did and by the time they do they'll be one step closer to having developed some sort of virus that'll kill anything that isn't 100% pure and non-mutated.

>>357919

the enclave was disbanded like, what? three times now? there's no reason they're not back again.

he doesn't look hurt, and it's really quite silent around here.

>A sudden rustle startles the armored man as he reaches for his hammer. He relaxes as it turns out to be a small girl. she's wearing a fitted vault suit. he pats her head as she approaches. She's carrying a bundle of things, one of which she eats, it leaks bright green sap as she sucks it dry...

>>357918
he's got an E surrounded with stars on his shoulder. On his chest there's three points and two bars. The girl has 112 on her back.

Vault 112, the virtual reality vault?

Anyway, he is wearing Enclave power armour, though that does not mean he is a member of the Enclave..

>>
No. 358099 ID: 49e436

he's not gonna attack you- he can't protect a little girl from a grenade launcher. besides, enclave soldiers don't tend to wield melee weapons or approve of the consumption of mutated green ooze-leaking fruits. he probably just looted the armor.

>>358039
112 is in the DC area. It's an experimental virtual reality/stasis vault.
The stasis doesn't prevent aging, but does prevent procreation. There are no children from vault 112.

The Enclave got into a war with a Brotherhood of Steel splinter group in DC a few years back and was decimated.

These two are probably safe. Make introductions from a few dozen feet away.
>>
No. 358245 ID: 4bdd79

>>358039
They're from DC. The adult is wearing Enclave armor, but AFAIK the DC Enclave didn't use hammers like that. That means, the armor's stolen. And there's only one person in DC who's good enough to take on the Enclave.

All things considered, you are most likely looking at the Lone Wanderer, or a friend thereof.
>>
No. 358318 ID: 99f447

It's true, the enclave mainly used energy weapons, also, they've been wiped out. Thats a pneumatic hammer though, the Super Sledge(TM), and that makes him several times more dangerous than you or anyone you've ever met.

I think it's unlikely it's the wanderer, he died when project purity went active.
>>
No. 358324 ID: a2fa74

>>358318
Pfft. The Lone Wanderer traveled around with a Ghoul and a Super Mutant, and they allegedly died from fatal radiation exposure. While those two were standing right next to the LW. And the battle was long over.

They would need to be the dumbest person in the world to not send their rad-immune friends in. Or the least charismatic person ever to not be able to talk a Super Mutant or Ghoul into taking a relaxing rad bath.

There's screwing up and dying, and then there's blatantly faking your own death. Somebody allegedly so competent wouldn't make such a moronic mistake.

Tss... Probably. If you wanna walk all the way back to the Dc Shithole.

Geeze that girl has one foul mouth...
... If you don't mind me asking, what would she have opened fire with?

>The frustrated girl slings her arm at a nearby rock as a fluorescent green bolt fires from her finger tips. It explodes against the rubble as the solid concrete begins to melt into goo...

Angel! I told you to hold your fire!

Y-yes Sir! A-are you an Enclave soldier?

Used to be. FirstClass GunnerySargent Hades Slavedson.

what happened?

Angel happened... After helping HER wipe out a few hand fulls of Brotherhood paladins, I was ordered to kill her. Needless to say I couldn't. we were fortunate enough to "die", with the help of some friends, and have been running since...

Wow... I don't know what most of that means... But it sounds impressive.

Yeah! I really hope they have some chips to spare.

>The Vault door is sealed shut, but the controls are still operational and the cameras are still running. The Vault door is scratched evenly across the surface. The 29 emblem is missing and the finish is completely destroyed.
