Hello, Collective of the Infinity Circuit.
I have called upon you for help, as you have gained a reputation as problem solvers.
And I have a problem.

But where to start?
There are a couple of options to consider:
There is a tower nearby that I used to call home. I am sure looters have entered in my absence.
There is a town to the south, called Verinstown. I could pick up some information there on the surrounding area.
Or, if you have another idea...?

And here is a crude map of the immediate area.
>>

Gotcha. What's your current resources? Any nearby settlements of Man, or possible places we can grab power?

>>309770
If your people have been forced into hiding- where are they? If you found them, would they acknowledge you as their rightful leader? That would be a good place to start, I think.

Otherwise, you'll want to start out somewhere that you won't attract much attention. Got to grow stronger before forcing a confrontation. The tower is probably the most obvious move for that.

I would recommend going to the town first, my liege. Depending on your current reserves of power, we may or may not be ready for what lies in your old home.

Change your appearance. You won't want the humans killing you on sight. Are you alone? It would be better if you were in a group, helps planning stuff. You said you were the "God of the Machine". Do you still need to eat and sleep? Can you make small, flying bots? Will certainly help a lot right now. A small list on your powers will be nice, helps in analyzing situations. Other than that, I say we travel to the Old Tower. There might be some stuff they weren't able to remove, but you can.

Well, as a Cylosian, my body is a solid living metal. I can create lightning, and I can fly.

Very well, the Crusher has been repaired.
If I remember correctly, this tower was just the tip of the iceburg, so to speak. Underneath, underground, and locked away is the robotics factory. If I can get down there, there are very few limits to what I can build, other than available resources.

I will stay in the tower to uncover it's secrets.
Who should I send out, and to where? The Kobold encampment, to look for labor? The port town of Seahaven, to gather information? Or to Verinstown, to see if the dwarves have anything of value?
I should have this tower sorted out by the time you get back.

I say information takes priority, my liege. Israphel would be the best one in this case, as his cold mind and serious attitude are best for getting the information successfully.
Prometheus and Pandora should be sent out to the Kobold village, as I strongly believe that together they should be capable of completely destroying any opposition. If luck sides with us, our digging may have bore fruit, and we should be able to send the Kobolds to the mines ASAP

Agreed, we need much much more info on the other locations and he is the most calm and collected one... best to do that.
Just to clarify destroy opposition of kobolds... we want to subjugate them not slay them all. This is important.
Kobolds, orcs, and other "wild races" make excellent fight targets for conquest... they easily accept it and are unlikely to unite against you.

More info required...

Our options are to:
1. kill her and then conquer the cutebolds.
2. tell her we will pay her debt, ask her to leave, then conquer the cutebolds and not pay them.
3. pay her debt, she leaves, conquer the cutebolds.
4. try to recruit her and the bolds with money.
5. Mediate as a neutral third party.
6. some other mix and match of the above.

All have different advantages and disadvantages. We need to find out several things:
A. How much money do we have?
B. How hard would a celestial be to kill?
C. What IS a celestial exactly? are they avatars of "good"? are they divine servants of other gods? are those other gods enemies, allies, or neutral to your god/father?
D. Can celestials send remote communications? (such as telling their god that we attacked them before they actually die?).
E. How much free will do celestials have? how plausible is conversion or conquest? (aka, if celestials are just a race of funny looking people, they can be conquered like any other)

I believe there are some paths laid out before us:

-We can ignore the Celestial, and just take the kobolds by force, earning us laborers and making us not spend any money
-We can take the Celestial after paying her debt, make her go to the tower, then take control of the kobolds and make it so the Celestial never notices this happening. This is the most rewarding path, though it'll take some effort.
-We take both the Celestial and Kobolds by force. Well, I'm sure you can do this, but I wouldn't recommend it.
-We take the Celestial and leave the Kobolds alone. We can always use robotic machines for the mines.

As for what we can do to the Celestial, hmm... We can recruit her, but an Angel Cylosian is fine too, fufufu...

err, which one of them are we actually controlling?

As for Prometheus... talk to the celestial, ask her what she does remember of herself. Since they are neither divine servants nor avatars of good, but just nomad people she could perhaps be recruited... She appears to have amnesia and own nothing which complicates things but also solves a lot of potential issues.
The question is then, is she even worth recruiting? will she give us any trouble in our conquests? Ask her if she remembers what her skills or powers are/were. What her job title is, etc.

Say to her: If you have the right skills we can offer you a paying job amongst the army or with us special force depending on your skill.

thats not how amnesia works.
There are actually 5 kinds of memories located in different parts of the brain. Amnesia is the loss of "personal history memories" due to damage to the one part of the brain that keeps them. You lose all or part of your personal history but keep ALL your skills and "factual knowledge". "what is the capital of france" is factual knowledge. martial arts would be skill knowledge. Speaking is language memory (located entirely in the left hemisphere for men, split up between both in women with the majority in the left hemisphere). Etc... Oh, and amnesia is either anterograde or retrograde... either loss of past memory or inability to form new memories. She obviously suffers from loss of past.
Finally, if she DID lose her skills, then teaching her from scratch is not worth the effort and she can be citizen.

So, this isn't the right tower. what are the full capabilities of this tower then?
Right now we should build up an economy. Digger seems to be more of a ground based weapon, but if it can assist in excavation and location of minerals then its a priority. Eventually we want factories churning out armies of all these types of bots. To reach said goal we need to find and conquer a mine, or find ore and excavate it...

Can we build a custom digger? add some diodes and careful programming to make it a specialist in locating ores and in digging the mine shafts for workers to get to them?

Well thats the thing, isn't it? There aren't many of us left. Fate is obviously still around and in charge. He never really introduced me to the others, and they have kept to themselves. Whatever I knew of the realm of Gods, I have forgotten, around the time I lost access to the divinity of the storm.

So, the question is, what now? Promethius and Pandora arrived with a band of Kobolds, who are excavating the area around the first tower. Israphel is doing god knows what.

The man fizzles and dissapears, apparently a holographic projector left in advance.
In its place is an orange CRYSTAL.
The CRYSTAL is broken on the top, and appears to be where the ORANGE GLOW is coming from.
I feel uneasy here.

I would, but as I go to pick it up every instinct in my body screams otherwise.
There is something wrong here, something not easily put into words.
At least this wasnt a waste of a trip, I was able to find a gravite crystal and 2 phase orbs in the wreckage.

I leave the ruins and fly back home.
Hopefully someone will have some good news for me.

It seems I'm the only one in the collective who currently remembers Hope. I advise refreshing your memory. Here's a hint: she broke us.

Noted. Considering what I've seen of her, I don't doubt it. I'll stay cautious in the extreme should we meet again.

After getting back, I entered Neo Arcadia again, this time going down further than the Control Room.

I end up in a very large, circular room. The cieling is very high up, perhaps 100 meters or so. The room is stark and empty.

There is a mirror in the middle of the room.
Please suggest an action.

Find a stick, then gently tap the mirror. Seriously, don't touch it with thine hands.

What's wrong with just looking at it first? Who knows, there might be a sticky note there saying "Warning, don't touch"

Touch the mirror.

Also, I do agree that you should be cautious, but there is no reason we cannot bring her to our side. If we manage to control her, it won't even matter if our weather-controlling powers are regained or not; we'll be able to operate at a similar might as before.
