Hello, Collective of the Infinity Circuit.
I have called upon you for help, as you have gained a reputation as problem solvers.
And I have a problem.

No. 309767 ID: ceecb5

We shall help you reclaim your rightful position as the ruler of this world, and we accept your proposal.

File 130740605651.png - (100.48KB , 800x600 , 003.png )

But where to start?
There are a couple of options to consider:
There is a tower nearby that I used to call home. I am sure looters have entered in my absence.
There is a town to the south, called Verinstown. I could pick up some information there on the surrounding area.
Or, if you have another idea...?

And here is a crude map of the immediate area.
No. 309773 ID: 1854db

Gotcha. What's your current resources? Any nearby settlements of Man, or possible places we can grab power?
No. 309775 ID: 234c26

If your people have been forced into hiding- where are they? If you found them, would they acknowledge you as their rightful leader? That would be a good place to start, I think.

Otherwise, you'll want to start out somewhere that you won't attract much attention. Got to grow stronger before forcing a confrontation. The tower is probably the most obvious move for that.
No. 309776 ID: ceecb5

I would recommend going to the town first, my liege. Depending on your current reserves of power, we may or may not be ready for what lies in your old home.
No. 309778 ID: 07416a

Go to the tooower~
No. 309780 ID: 35e1a0

can you disguise yourself? would be good to do that if you go to the town/
No. 309782 ID: d69a8b

Change your appearance. You won't want the humans killing you on sight. Are you alone? It would be better if you were in a group, helps planning stuff. You said you were the "God of the Machine". Do you still need to eat and sleep? Can you make small, flying bots? Will certainly help a lot right now. A small list on your powers will be nice, helps in analyzing situations. Other than that, I say we travel to the Old Tower. There might be some stuff they weren't able to remove, but you can.
No. 309783 ID: fa6e8d
File 130740652525.png - (72.32KB , 800x600 , 004.png )

Resources? I have a small amount of coin, which should cover food and lodgings if needed, briberies if necessary. I have with me my advisor and trusted friend, the Magus Israphel. My two greatest warriors are surveying the land; they were the ones who made the map.
No. 309786 ID: ceecb5

Wonderful! So your most loyal still remain! Then not all is lost.
Say, if we were to compare your actual power with the one you had before, what percentage of your original power do you possess?
No. 309795 ID: 1854db

Reclaiming your old base would be the first step. I suggest taking your forces there.

My current powers?
Well, as a Cylosian, my body is a solid living metal. I can create lightning, and I can fly.
I USED to be able to control the weather, but for reasons unknown that is beyond me at the moment. Creating machines requires resources I do not have, unless you want me to start digging.
The tower it is. Maybe I can find something of my previous power in there.
No. 309801 ID: 35e1a0

go slow, don't want to step into the middle of a bunch of bandits.
No. 309804 ID: ceecb5

Ah, then we are not at such a disadvantage. What are the powers your magus advisor possesses? I trust he is as strong as he is witty?

I step into the tower, anticipating an attack.
4 Aggressor Class drones stand near the lift.
They turn to look at us, but do not attack. Advancing on the elevator may turn them hostile.
Israphel specializes in Ice spells and Illusions. His humor is rather dry though, when it shows at all.
No. 309811 ID: 1854db

Drones? Try commanding them to do something.

"Drones! Stand down and let us pass!"
They react violently to my voice, powering up stunsticks.
This confirms that somebody else is here and has reprogrammed my machines. How should I deal with the robots?
No. 309817 ID: d69a8b

Well, you created them, right? You should know how it's going to attack, and where the important parts are. Find a way to turn them off, and reboot. We need more minions.
No. 309818 ID: ceecb5

Are they lightning resistant, my liege? You may strike them down with your holy thunder.
No. 309819 ID: 35e1a0

can you reconfigure your lightning emitting ability to absorb electricity? if so then do that and charge in and take the hits and rip their heads off. if not then engage flight and shoot them with lightning from above. Israphel should use his illusions to get close and then got their heads off.
No. 309821 ID: 1854db

Shutting them down for future use would be optimal.

I seem to remember that most things in this world cannot stand against lightning, so I will use that. It seems to have turned them off without burning them out completely, so that's good. When I have finished with the looters, I can re-reprogram them.

Make sure to do so, my liege, for it will be the first step towards reclaiming the world.

No. 309930 ID: f0e3ae

fix and reprogram the drones, and the crusher mech, and any other tower defenses.
No. 309931 ID: ceecb5

That is fine as well, my liege. Perhaps, now that you have your base of operations again, creating an army of machines will prove to be an easier goal. Now, I trust that you remember how your home used to be. Treasures stored, blueprints designed by you, divine weapons of ancient power, what fate has befallen them?

For now, let us wait and see if we can sort out the tower and strengthen it again, until your two great warriors arrive.

Speaking of which, Israphel says he thinks he can get the Crusher working again, if I use parts from 2 of the Aggressor drones.
Should we? It seems a fair trade.
No. 309936 ID: db27ef

Shit yes Boss man.
No. 309938 ID: ceecb5

I say go for it, my liege. It would be a waste to just leave the Crusher Mech's steel as an unmoving piece of metal. You can always build more Agressors.
No. 309939 ID: 35e1a0

without your power the crusher would prove a good warrior. and if it is WITH the other two aggressors then taking advantage of it's slow speed would be hard to do.
No. 309941 ID: f0e3ae

yes. 2 drones + crusher are better than 4 drones.
No. 309946 ID: d69a8b

Yes. Could work as a personal bodyguard, or as the main force of our little squad. Is it possible to "absorb" the metal from the sword and broken parts to strengthen our body? Or maybe create spy-drones.

File 130741430517.png - (89.27KB , 800x600 , 023.png )

Very well, the Crusher has been repaired.
If I remember correctly, this tower was just the tip of the iceburg, so to speak. Underneath, underground, and locked away is the robotics factory. If I can get down there, there are very few limits to what I can build, other than available resources.

Speaking of which, I currently have:
1 Crusher Mech
2 Aggressor Drones
4 Spare parts
No. 309957 ID: d3dfb8

What can you build with those spare parts?
No. 309961 ID: db27ef

Sounds like the robotics factory is top priority then.
Armaments maybe?
No. 309963 ID: fa6e8d

From what I remember of the SCHEMATICS I have in the factory, I believe I can make the following:
Swarmer- 1 part
Aggressor- 2 parts
Crusher- 5 parts
Walker- 8 parts
Nightmare- 20 parts + Gravitic Crystal
No. 309966 ID: 9a34be

Top right. Oh shit, is that Nightmare?

...that's Nightmare. Build that. THEY WILL KNOW TERROR.

So, I have my tower back... well, at least the upper portion of it. My warriors will be back soon with an updated map, with more area to cover. So the question is, where do I go now?
My objective at the moment is INFORMATION GATHERING and RECONNIASSANCE.
No. 309973 ID: 35e1a0

make 2 swarmers and have them replace your warriors in scout duties. need someone able to pass for human to check out the towns otherwise it could raise alarms. unless your people still exist all over. in which case put on a cloak to hide your wings and you could do it.

Brilliant! It's not doing much good up here, so I send it to dig. If It finds any metals or malleable stone, I might get this going faster than expected.
No. 309975 ID: db27ef

Well..... if you're wanting Info then you should probably wait till yer troops bring back the updated map.

After that, I say avoid towns for now and seek out some exploitable resources. Might want to check out the forest.

Also, if there's anything weak and suitable for immediate subjugation that would be peachy keen.
Some Bio labor might save you some resources and spread fear and whatnot.

Promethius and Pandora? I created them myself, forged them from the living metal of Cylosis. Pandora is a bit eccentric, and kinda psychotic. Promethius is surly and short-spoken, and is short of temper. They are both capable warriors, in their own way.

Who should I send out, and to where? The Kobold encampment, to look for labor? The port town of Seahaven, to gather information? Or to Verinstown, to see if the dwarves have anything of value?
I should have this tower sorted out by the time you get back.
No. 310187 ID: fd6508

I say information takes priority, my liege. Israphel would be the best one in this case, as his cold mind and serious attitude are best for getting the information successfully.
Prometheus and Pandora should be sent out to the Kobold village, as I strongly believe that together they should be capable of completely destroying any opposition. If luck sides with us, our digging may have bore fruit, and we should be able to send the Kobolds to the mines ASAP
No. 310190 ID: f0e3ae

Agreed, we need much much more info on the other locations and he is the most calm and collected one... best to do that.
Just to clarify destroy opposition of kobolds... we want to subjugate them not slay them all. This is important.
Kobolds, orcs, and other "wild races" make excellent fight targets for conquest... they easily accept it and are unlikely to unite against you.

>I dont know! I dont remember anything! I just woke up in this village, and this... this THING is saying that I owe them 50 coins! I dont have that! I just want to go...

Keep in mind, the easiest way through this would be to kill the leader and hope that the others follow us without trouble.
However, that may put us at odds with the Celestial. Though that may not even be a problem, she was arguing with a 'bold over nothing. Hell, I might even be able to convince her to join us.

More info required...

Our options are to:
1. kill her and then conquer the cutebolds.
2. tell her we will pay her debt, ask her to leave, then conquer the cutebolds and not pay them.
3. pay her debt, she leaves, conquer the cutebolds.
4. try to recruit her and the bolds with money.
5. Mediate as a neutral third party.
6. some other mix and match of the above.

All have different advantages and disadvantages. We need to find out several things:
A. How much money do we have?
B. How hard would a celestial be to kill?
C. What IS a celestial exactly? are they avatars of "good"? are they divine servants of other gods? are those other gods enemies, allies, or neutral to your god/father?
D. Can celestials send remote communications? (such as telling their god that we attacked them before they actually die?).
E. How much free will do celestials have? how plausible is conversion or conquest? (aka, if celestials are just a race of funny looking people, they can be conquered like any other)
No. 310219 ID: cd6cce

I believe there are some paths laid out before us:

-We can ignore the Celestial, and just take the kobolds by force, earning us laborers and making us not spend any money
-We can take the Celestial after paying her debt, make her go to the tower, then take control of the kobolds and make it so the Celestial never notices this happening. This is the most rewarding path, though it'll take some effort.
-We take both the Celestial and Kobolds by force. Well, I'm sure you can do this, but I wouldn't recommend it.
-We take the Celestial and leave the Kobolds alone. We can always use robotic machines for the mines.

As for what we can do to the Celestial, hmm... We can recruit her, but an Angel Cylosian is fine too, fufufu...

err, which one of them are we actually controlling?

As for Prometheus... talk to the celestial, ask her what she does remember of herself. Since they are neither divine servants nor avatars of good, but just nomad people she could perhaps be recruited... She appears to have amnesia and own nothing which complicates things but also solves a lot of potential issues.
The question is then, is she even worth recruiting? will she give us any trouble in our conquests? Ask her if she remembers what her skills or powers are/were. What her job title is, etc.

Both Promethius and Pandora are connected to the Infinity Circuit, but you can only listen in to one of them at a time. The other is indirectly controlled, unless you want to hop bodies. The same goes for Israphel.

Subjugation is something you do on a larger scale (whole village or larger) not an individual basis; we know she is not going to through a morality fit, but does she have the skills to be worth it?

Say to her: If you have the right skills we can offer you a paying job amongst the army or with us special force depending on your skill.
If you aren't interested or don't have the skills you are free to go where you are free to either leave, or stay as a citizen.

Also, you are relocating the entire kobold tribe right? have them take everything they own, pack it up, and move to the tower. thats not how amnesia works.
There are actually 5 kinds of memories located in different parts of the brain. Amnesia is the loss of "personal history memories" due to damage to the one part of the brain that keeps them. You lose all or part of your personal history but keep ALL your skills and "factual knowledge". "what is the capital of france" is factual knowledge. martial arts would be skill knowledge. Speaking is language memory (located entirely in the left hemisphere for men, split up between both in women with the majority in the left hemisphere). Etc... Oh, and amnesia is either anterograde or retrograde... either loss of past memory or inability to form new memories. She obviously suffers from loss of past.
Finally, if she DID lose her skills, then teaching her from scratch is not worth the effort and she can be citizen.

So, this isn't the right tower. what are the full capabilities of this tower then?
Right now we should build up an economy. Digger seems to be more of a ground based weapon, but if it can assist in excavation and location of minerals then its a priority. Eventually we want factories churning out armies of all these types of bots. To reach said goal we need to find and conquer a mine, or find ore and excavate it...

Can we build a custom digger? add some diodes and careful programming to make it a specialist in locating ores and in digging the mine shafts for workers to get to them?

Yeaaaaaah. Remember how you were supposed to be the big bad god of evil and terror?

Well, it turns out the Goddess of Hope, Good, and Magic is COMPLETELY OFF THE DEEP END. She plans to eradicate the entire universe, because it isn't "perfect" like she is. As you don't look like her, and have the word "Terror" in your title, she's now going to try and kill you. Be very, very careful.

Who knows? Maybe next time you can actually flirt with her~

Vresch should be fine, as well as anybody in hardened locations. If Hope did THAT much damage then she would have destroyed both herself and her power source.

so, if you the goddess of hope and the god of despair have a child, what would it be?
(I am joking really, lets not ship with the crazy)

You gained your divinity when fate gave it to you. You have lost your divinity when other gods took it... how exactly did they perform such an act and did you see what they did with your divinity afterwards? (did they absorb it?)...

And you say you lost your divinity, but how. You look to be as divine as always, you haven't reverted to a human.

After getting back, I entered Neo Arcadia again, this time going down further than the Control Room.
