She was Katy. Very close friend of mine.
That happened to me once. It was pretty problematic situation.

Anyway! 5 days have passed! It is time to go to meet that what's-his-face again and do... stuff!
Yeah, we are supposed to help him. But I am not sure what we are going to do. I know I can build machines, but I don't know if slaves know how to operate those.
>>
No. 233761 ID: 6ae689

Maybe you can set up a central computer in your tower that control the mining machines via a radio relay? Really I think you only need 3 machines. Some digger types that can seek out, dig up and crush mineral ore, a refinery station that refines ore and some simple motorized wagons that the slaves can push/pull to move the ore from the diggers to the refinery.

Also god knows what kind of nasty stuff that C-something mine owner has been up to. Have you still got that spy bot near the mine? You better go in ready for him to have some magical bodyguards and a small army. If he starts playing tricks then be ready to kill everyone there.
>>
No. 233768 ID: e40e60

>>233759
Check in on the spy bot.

Jackhammers and some better refining gear should suffice. Make sure to idiot-proof everything, and try to make them hard to reproduce. You should be able to train them on-site. Also remember: They only have to last up until you have what you want.

Yeah. Wagons and such sound nice. Conveyor belts are must I guess. Hard to reprocuse, hard to fix. So I WILL be needed.
Yawn. I have sleeped so much in past five days. I haven't done anything! Doc got us out of there and took the worm pretty close to our tower. Worm is completely in our control, so when I get metal, fun begins!

So. Breakfast and um. Yeah. Maybe I should go to talk people today. I haven't spoken to Organist. I have to thank Helena too.

I have been sleeping because of my internal organs somewhat failed me, thank you very much!

I reorganized one of the rooms into a sleeping-room for her gang.

"Hi Helena!"
>"Tory! Are you feeling better now?"
"Yeaaah. I am going to resume my plan today! But first I want to ask you about few things!"
>"Go ahead, asking won't hurt you."
Haha.
"So, how are you all? Adapted to this weird shit going on? Teslas, drills, awesome science, strange feeling emanating from the core, occasional teleports and explosions? And do you have any complaints?"
>"Woah. Let me think a little!"
>We are doing fine. Sometimes we just don't know what the fuck is going on here. I mean, everything here is so... new. It is quite interesting actually."
>"Hey, don't put words in my mouth Helena. All this shit will end the world someday!"

We have been told by Mr. Chmobae that his competitors are not men of honor and might try to take over his mine.
I don't think we've done anything to attract the attention of a real hero, unless people found out about you shooting those guys.

Also do you have any weapons to defend ourselves as we're working on the mine? You should be able to get together at least personal weapons like a laser or something. We need something to help you to fight or escape if things go bad.

Uuuaargh. My monologues are bad. Mega-bad. I need to practise more.

So! I have gathered enough metal to arm the worm and create a command-centre ( this awesome thing ). Worm is now "Awesome Sandworm the Superkiller"! This command centre is called "Super Efficient Command Centre to Command Awesome Sandworm the Superkiller"!

Now... I am little lost now. I am all ready to attack, but something is bothering me.

You need to put drills on the bottom legs of your death ship/command center, allowing it to drill into the ground and bolt itself into place in case of heroes. You lost because they battered you around so much you could not aim! If you can root in one spot, you can shoot them all you like!
>>
No. 240602 ID: c59f60

use small fry attacks on normal troops unless your better guns can recharge fast, then you can use that. hold any one shot weapons until a hero shows up then attack with a medium power weapon so they waste any guarding power they have then use your big guns. if heroes are killed then unleash worm on city. if they somehow managed to survive your attack then use worm on them.

Chmobae was selling his metal to some country down south. Maybe we can wreck his sales and keep/buy the metal he would otherwise have sold?

Head south and wreck the trade routes and every town you can find. Poison all water supplies with uranium dust (was that depleted uranium you found earlier?) or whatever other poisons you have handy so future traders will die if they drink the water while crossing the desert.

Strike in the dark of night so nobody knows exactly what hit them apart from the fact that it was a giant ferocious sandworm. If you use radar/nightvision/infrared then you can easily control the action and hunt down survivors.

So, the command-center is pretty weak and armed with only few weapons. It is not really designed for combat, but rather commanding the worm from remote distance.

I did look at the texts and stuff I found from the temple! I managed to decrypt most of them, but I cannot understand what the fuck are they about! They are still too confusing.

And I don't really like the idea of attacking during the night. Because then Chmobae won't see how awesome thing I have created! This area is not governed, so I don't have to worry about getting army up my ass!

Let's just have it drill right under Chmobae's tent, pop up and kill him in his sleep, and vanish in the night. The next day we'll be like "Oh no, how very unfortunate! I guess these mines are mine now, aw shucks."

Still, try out the worm on some other faraway towns so you get practice at using it to destroy civilization. Maybe it has some kind of weakness we haven't noticed yet.

If you do go for Chmobae make sure you utterly annihilate the heroes with a surprise attack first.

Idea, can this worm lay worm eggs or help you find MORE WORMS?

Take out the heroes with a surprise attack. At the same time, fire on Chmowhatever with whatever weapons you have. Once the heroes have been alerted, keep moving to make yourself harder to hit. Don't get anywhere near the maximum range of your remote-control-worm (if you have any real max range) and don't get anywhere near any surviving heroes (usually identifiable by their heavy weapons and lack of self-preservation).

Attacking other cities/towns/shacks/whatever would probably attract heroes. I have to eliminate them now!
Taking over the mine probably won't aggravate the nation.

heroes take a LOT to die. you need to magic anvil appeared on her hand to block. with your monolouge you want to keep them distracted while your worm tunnels in under them and then erupts from the ground and lifts them into the air with it's drill spinning.

Begin monologuing about how AWESOME your worm is and about how it's better than just a regular lame worm because it is a MECHA-WORM and mecha-ANYTHING is better than its alternative. Fire a few bolts at them for emphasis.

The entire point of this will be to keep them from noticing that the worm is about to erupt from the ground right under their feet.

No! It's not about mindlessly making the biggest machine possible. I'm about actually winning. Using my Drillworm I control this desert, by controlling the very sand you stand on. That same sand that shields it with an armor better than any 'plate-armor' I could ever put on it.

Kinda like a coilgun but without magnets! It is pretty amazing! The only problem is that it requires tons of energy! If I remember correctly, NSU's VERY LARGE KMA-cannon required few gigawatts of power to fire it once.
Then again, it was powerful enough to level a mountain completely. I had only stored enough power for one shot.

Back at the Tower.

... I have not seen a nuclear explosion in 4 years. It is refreshing. Like a sunset.

Yeah! Fuck home! They are still probably hunting me for crimes against humanity, fraud and treason!
Anyway, the nuclear explosion produced by that small nuclear reactor is not bad. It is much weaker than actual nuclear bomb, but I can still see it from here. It is probably going to kill large amount of miners. I don't know about the worm though. It was pretty close to the worm. The equipment might be destroyed completely.
Place is going to be radiated for five years probably. Going to mine would require robots protected from radiation ( radiation hardening probably ). Can be done, but I cannot expect good results in short term. Luckily I now have much more materials than before ( I miscalculated amount of iron needed for the worm. )

Too bad the worm is probably toast. It would make an excellent deterrent.

I guess just place lots of motion sensors around the mine and a central automated mortar that fires if it detects human-like intruders. There's already been one explosion so maybe people will start to think that the place just has a sudden tendency to explode. The trick will be to make the mortar fairly quiet and the shells aerodynamic so these primitive people think that it's the ground randomly exploding rather than something in the middle of a zone throwing bombs.

254062

Uh.

I think I lost track of time when studying all these things. Is it night already? Or morning? Evening? Whatever.
I have learned a lot, and there is lots of stuff I don't understand.

Well, I learned about how Ancients moved between worlds. They used cylinder-like pods to move around. It seems that they were kinda shaped like pills. Strange. Not very similar to my Tower, but both designs are good for using the gates. I guess. It explains some stuff.

These texts also mentions several things such as teleporting within realm. I guess it is about short-range teleporting. I don't really understand this. Materials are weird and they use terms that I am not familiar with. But it is cool.

Then there is small part about Void. Basic stuff, but there is quite interesting thing about openings to the Void. Like why air doesn't rush through the openings. It also has some stuff about how long will openings to the Void last. It seems that natural openings to the Void are extremely rare and disappear quickly. That's about it.

Then there is this log. It is very short, uninteresting and it has been damaged. REALLY DAMAGED.
I could only read one part of it:

"01-40-50631:AB Pyeidicissááš(β7Ae) approached, attacked and killed 1643."

I just don't know.

So. Maybe I should ask someone about this.

The log is odd. Where did you find it? Any clue on if the log date is very recent or very old? You might want to try to see if Sister or the Organist knows how the Ancient calendar works.

Keep actual log contents secret. Pyeidicis-whatever could be part of or the full true name of the Organist or Sister if the log is describing the way they approached and killed defensive golem #1643? Either that or it was just some age old threat that killed 1643 ancients?

On the teleportation - EXPERIMENT! Maybe you don't have the materials to accurately teleport a rock from A to B, but if you can say, disperse the atoms of said rock all along the path between A and B then you've got a FUN WEAPON! (also you won't have anyone blocking it with magical anvils)

Nope, I don't think this is either Organist's or Sister's true name. Organist said that he cannot be controlled by true naming. Not to mention this log is probably over 1000 years old! Look at how damaged it is! There are only two words I can read after the sentence.
"Per" ( perception, perpertrated, perpertual? ) ,"sun" and "light". I cannot make any sense of it.

I think the 1643 refers to the amount of Ancients killed by that attack.

Well, the problem with (re)inventing teleporting-tech is that I don't understand terms OR materials! Either Sister or Organist is capable of helping me.
In my homeworld, there was tons of research and theory about teleporting. Theories ( quantum etc. ) were alright and pretty logical. But actually teleporting was a whole different matter.

They are usually formed by chance, but sometimes they appear as omen, embodiment or memorial. They are very, very rare. There are from 2 to 5 ABs per solar system with sapient creatures in course of 10 000 years. They are not sapient themselves, they act instinctively. That's about it."

Vi´đsǩǩesjiõŋŋpuäk'knjaž ( α6Dg )
Vi´đsǩǩesjiõŋŋpuäk'knjaž is the name of the Armipotent Being. After that there is a quick info about it. First character marks the type of the creature.

α = Organic
β = Abstract
γ = Hybrid ( very rare. Only two known cases )

Second character marks the power of the creature. Scale rankes from 1 to 12.

1 = Very weak.
2 = As powerful as average sapient being...

...4 = Considerable danger. Can kill large amount of trained soldiers without effort...

...7 = Catastrophical. Can eradicate cities with ease...

...12 = Can destroy all life on solar-system.

Letter after power tells how does the AB act.
A = Very aggressive. Attacks without provocation.
B = Aggressive. Attacks with little provocation.
C = Attacks only when provocated.
D = Hard to provocate.
E = Passive. Does not attack at all.

And final character denotes how large is the being.

M = Very small. ( bacteria etc. )
S = Small. ( mouse etc. )
D = Medium ( human etc. )
L = Large ( elephant etc. )
E = Enormous
G = Gigantic ( larger than an average mountain. )
...

Blaaah.

...There has been around fives ABs on Earth from the very creation...

TUNGUSKA ( β9EE )
Appeared 1908... an Omen... Self-destructed after 20 minutes... causing the Tunguska-event...

...BERMUDA ( α5BL )
First reports 1876... Aquatic... Not the cause of mysterious events in Bermuda Triangle...
...

Blah blah blah.

This books is pretty interesting after all! ...So tired...

Okay... I guess that's about it. Now, should I go to borrow that next book? Or should I get on with building...?

ah, so they were attacked by a B7AE, an abstract, rather powerful, very aggressive, enormous THING. neat. return book and let's start building.

Looks rather freaky. Ok, return the book and then get a Small Guide to Demonology. Need to know a bit more of this demon and magic shit. It probably follows it's own laws and rules, if you can learn and understand theoretical quantum physics then you should be able to grasp magic and demonology. Maybe even find some ways to combine it, then shit will get really truly awesome.

Drooling on a book... Oh shit! Wipe that drool of and hope to whatever deity is around that you didn't mess up the book. Sister is going to go apeshit if you somehow damaged one of her books.

Nonchalantly say (while wiping the drool off) that you were just meditating. Ask what's up.

Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck. I gotta make sure the book won't be damaged any further! I did learn something from this book in short time. What I learned:

• Some worlds have different amounts of magical power. This depends on how near world is to the 'centre of existance'.
• On low-magic worlds, some people make contracts with demons in order to gain magical powers. It seems kinda simple, you offer an organ and receive same organ from the demon. This way the person will gain magical powers, but will become like a demon each day. Same with the demon; demon gains some shit and becomes more like the person. Their lives are also bound. Killing demon or the person will cause the other to either die or weaken.
• Demons are byproduct of burning memories and binds.
• And some shit about purgatory that I don't remember right now.

Yeah. I am so dead when Sister finds out
Those black things? I think they are robots that I finished. I only finished two, but they are pretty darn good. I almost finished the mortar too.

"Oh, Helena... I was not sleeping, I was thinking. Deeply. Very... deeply."
>"Haha. Yeah. "
>"Well, I'm doing fine. My gang and I just wanted to ask you if you would be nice enough to lend us money. We are planning to have fun get ourselves drunk."
"Huh?"

>>257039
Umm, do you even have money? Eh, pay her in booze. Surely you got something lying around, or if not then you should construct a distillery so you can make some in the future.
>>
No. 257070 ID: 534fc2

It's a challenge! Give Helena and her lot some money or valuables or whatever to go buy booze. By the time they return you can surely have a machine ready that recombines water and carbon dioxide onto pure alcohol. Vodka! Get them to pick up some fruit and tasty stuff as well. Pure ethanol won't be particularly tasty.

Any ideas on future superweapons while you're at it? Maybe a fleet of solar powered high-altitude zeppelins with bombs and lasers, raining death from the skies?

That wouldn't work! Water and carbon dioxide form CARBONIC ACID, rather than ethanol unless I come up with some major shenigans! Get your facts straight! And I don't have time for alcohols now!

I gave them money. They better not get completely wasted or enslaved or kill everything in sight or something.

Anyway, zeppelins sound good! But then again, zeppelins are pretty vulnerable.

I gotta finish those mortars!

Er, hang on, before they're out of earshot, tell them to not attract too much attention. We're still building up our forces.

Ell either you could use some kickass gas that provides more lift and is less flammable than the ones used in the past. Or you could use some sort of antigrav tech to help keep the armored behemot afloat. Hey, maybe you could even install a flat-top on it and use it as a flying carrier. That would be awesome.

257489

I told them to keep it quiet.
Helium is pretty great for blimps. Not so flammable.

Anyway, I did a lot in quite short time! The town near the mines was almost abandoned. I managed to scare away some people. Those who insisted to stay were shot in the face.

So, I managed to get robots operational and mortars working.

Now what? I made only few robots, but because of hardening and other stuff, they are little slow. I won't be getting as much metal as I got before nuking this place.

Strange... Something is not right. No, it is not radiation or anything.
Something just seems... off.

Clouds, numbnuts. Probably because of my nuclear blast.
So, what's the plan? Should I just switch worlds while robots do some mining? Or what?
>>
No. 257772 ID: 968a44

Hmm. I guess that's not the worst idea. We can control which worlds we teleport to, right? We don't need to be here to oversee the entire mining operation. As long as we come back within the year or so, it should be alright.

Let's go!
>>

Yeah, I can control. This is world 0005, and I suppose I jump to 0006.

Well.
Unless I am going to trust Organist. 0468 might be my homeworld. I am not sure about it though. But there is a great chance it is.
Going back to my homeworld might be great! I need to get some of my stuff that I accidentally left there.

>>

Yeah make sure everyone is ready before you press the warp button.

You probably want a better armed tower before going back to 0468. If my guess is right you kind of ran off with a tower so there might be guards posted there or something I dunno.

Going home would be very nice but very risky, everywhere else is new and more easily conquerable probably. First we become NIGH INVINCIBLE and have all kinds of super science and mad magic, then we can go back and SHOW THEM, SHOW THEM ALL. Because that is the proper way to do things.

Oops, I almost forgot them! How silly of me! I will wait.

Anyway, 0468 it is! I don't think they are circling place my tower was at anymore. Why would they? It was over two years ago! I am pretty sure they have better things to do than watch over one spot in Belize.
If I have luck, I might be able to get materials for few nuclear bombs.

I am going home!
