The mask, or helmet, seems to be fused tightly to the flesh, trying to pry it off only yields a bit of blood and a glimpse of raw flesh.

I also notice that the body seems to be growing warmer rather than colder.

Quietly hissing torrent of of flame pours past me, impacting the gully I was just in with a kind of pop and sizzle.

"bwuhuh?"

My head feels like an overripe melon.

Too many sensations grate upon and assault my senses. I feel cool air over my body, a sense of vertigo, hear many strange voices, echoing, a wide space, a language that does not come easily to my tongue.

The smell of roasted meat, sweat, spoilt food, the sweet acrid smell of a still and something cloyingly thick like the smell of rotting roses if that makes any sense.

Only three of our spells; the weapon enhancement, healing and summoning wisps, but it may be enough. If we can imply that we are a great wizard they may at lest hesitate.

We bring to mind a jumble of barely syntaxial Kaltzunge, the speech of the unseelie courts.

"Tumnaiel avatyara mello lucassemman. Istarin... paityain... tulto aran!"

We think we just told them we are sorry, but will repay them. We are a wizard and to take us to their leader, maybe... we hope.

The older one... some kind of shaman gets a nod and a look from her and he announces something to the crowd. There are some moans of disappointment as they begin to disperse.

What looks to be a runner is sent off into one of the side caverns and the what I assume to be the few guards and ritualists of some sort begin to settle down and wait, for something.

I hate waiting... but I equally fear its end in this case.

We do our best to relay humblest greetings and apology, as well as a plea for mercy in exchange for some task we could preform with our skills.

The person (who by voice and what little we can grasp of syntax and form of address is female) seems to consider this for a moment, then delivers some orders to the goblins.

She then commands me to make all effort in visiting her as she has an important task requiring a person of arcane talent.
