Preface: Second time making a quest, first time posting it. Expect some ineptitude. Hopefully I'll be able to get the hang of things fairly quickly however, and you guys will enjoy this random little product of my boredom. This particular chapter is a little prelude to the plot line I have planned, and borrows heavily from WeaverQuest. The idea of the players (you) making the world for the quest to play out in was almost too good to pass up.

All that said, let the quest begin.

Anyway, I heard a few of your mutterings earlier, but wasn't really paying attention... Umm...

This... Is a good idea. Would the sulfur burn out before it hits, though?

I like the part where I am far away from the boom.

>>172556
I don't have a nose. I can still smell, though. I suppose you'd call me gaseous?

Phosphorous, eh? Sounds good to me. But then we have the moving-tongs-around difficulty still.

Could I combine those ideas, maybe?

As for the nitrogen/oxygen thing, well, its an explosion. Doesn't really need controlling. Though I think that knowledge could come in handy later.

How would I hold the throwing-block, though?

Well, our options appear to be either throw fiery balls of death, or throw nuclear balls of death.

What should I do?

You could make a really long piece of rock with sulfur or phosphorus at the end. Like a long torch. Then light it at a distance like that.

The best fuse is a string laced with gunpowder or alcohol or some other accelerant. However you're a bit limited in material types...

well, let's see. you got a star, and a planet. is the planet molten in the center? that's important. next add a shit-ton of water all over it and make the terrain uneven so you got continents and oceans. finally need an atmosphere. do you want carbon based, nitrogen based, or if you want to be fancy, silicon based. this determines what gas mix would be best.

I'm... not entirely sure if the core is molten. When I set it up, it was orbiting at a bit of an odd angle, and a few cracks and volcanoes appeared. But I threw a few asteroids at it, and that seemed to fix it up. Also, it was really cool to watch. Heheh.

As for water... I can't make it with Basic Essence. Which is odd, because what I can remember of life before the void definitely had some old guy telling us what water was made of. And it wasn't that complex.

Basic Essence must be just for rocks.

From the looks of the symbol, it's probably electricity. Try putting the mystery essence into one iron rock, and putting another iron rock close to the first one.

You can make water pretty easy with basic essence. Just make some Hydrogen rocks and some Oxygen rocks, like you did with Sulfur, and when they boil away ignite the mixed gases. It'll make a huge explosive fwoop, and what's leftover is water!

Making life, however, is... not very easy. I hope you don't eat hamburgers because if so you're going to be awfully hungry for the next 5 billion years.

Coal what.

Coal is waaaaaay more complex than water. I was thinking basic could only do solid elements, like sulfur, iron, oxygen and hydrogen. Hydrogen should be the easiest of all in fact. In fact, I bet that rage sun over there is pretty much pure hydrogen, crushed into ignition by the gravity of your rage.

At any rate, cheeseburger woo!

Huh? Oh, thanks.

>>189767
Uh, I can just make gold with Basic, I think. I mean, its similar to iron, right? And I can do that. The hard part would be making it fit around the statue.

>>189771
I'd need to get water first. And I have no idea what primordial soup looks like.

I could probably do bacon-and-pea-soup.

>>189774
Oooooh, that could work. If I could make either of those. I could probably use the Mystery Essence (We need to pick a name for it) to change a rock into those, but I have no idea what either of them look like. And we're still not sure what Mystery Essence actually does, besides making delicious fatty foods.

>>189773
Hmm. Seems pretty likely. Random rock-firing time, then?

Mystery Essence is Mystery Essence. It is whatever you need it to be. Perfect explanation, no?

Now, we must begin making this world made out of food. If need be, make more Mystery Essence with another Giga-Sulfur-Bomb.

Huh. I didn't think of it like that.

Well, then, on to planetary cheeseburgers?

[New Stat system. It should be pretty familiar to most of you. :P For those wondering why, say, Str would be useful to a gaseous world creator/cheeseburger lover, well, you'll just have to see. Note that rather than exp and attribute boosts every 4 levels or so, attributes may be risen with proper training. Also note that the attribute scores themselves are pretty useless, I'm rolling everything off the mods. If the new menu is too hard too see/read, gimmi a kick up the arse and I'll think up something better.]

You didn't need anything, so the Requirement Essence made you need medical help, so it can be required.

[I have no imagination. Roll a d100, first roll is used. Roll a d(however many options there are, +1 for any options you wish to suggest). Again, first roll is used.

Note: Species is picked randomly from the orginal races of Slater's homeworld. Objects may result in the creation of artifacts, which can do interesting things. Timer for Quest change is in updates. GUI, feel free to submit your own, otherwise I'll just see what I can make. System change means changing from the current D20 based system.Ignore n= in overlap, typo.]

[Reason for this: I haven't slept in two days and can't brain. Although I have the majority of theplot planned -before- Slater ended up in the void, have little after this point.

Go ahead and break my quest. :D]

[74! Falls in the range of Misc/Other. Roll a d2 to decide which option gets done, or suggest another and roll a d3.

And I love you too. :3]

What, the entire quest? That seems extreme.

Here let me just roll a d2.

[Uh. You kinda... rolled a d3 there. When there's two choices. Also, I'll post with pictures from now on. :P]

>>195753
[Actually, I was kinda hoping for a quest change. Had something planned for it. Anyway, looks like its System Change.]

[We're currently running off a d20 based system. As part of the system change effect, you may...

Add "Knowledge": This will allow the spending of 50% of a non-basic essence in order to recieve a information page about it, outlining its capabilities, possible sources, and allowing the essence's use with Essence-compatible artifacts which may be found. Knowledge pages on subjects such as how abilities affect things, different races, and history may also be unlocked via spending 20% of each currently attained essence, though some may be restricted depending on Slater's Memory percentage.

Reroll: Redistribute Slater's ability points as you see fit. You will have 30 points. It costs 1 point per attribute up to 14, 2 points for 15-16, 3 for 17-18, and 4 for 19-20. No attribute may be below 8, but 0-8 costs no points. Note that these 30 points mean whatever you choose, Slater is likely to have more points in every attribute than he currently does. (As right now he's only used 18 points.)

Feats: Anyone familiar with the newer versions of the d20 system should know what these are. Think up a feat, if it's reasonable, it's added to Slater. (Something like "Strong mind: Slater's sanity is no longer decreasing while in the void, and he takes half penalty from sanity degrading effects.") Note that durations are measured in updates and chapters, rather than rounds, turns, days, etc.

Spell Bar: Slater gains a quickbar at the bottom of the screen. Essence actions may be placed or removed from the bar at any time, though they take one update to be useable. These actions require only half the essence usually required, and need no preparation time.

COMPLETE SYSTEM OVERHAUL: Suggest your own system! Pretty self explanitory, really.

Note that should this concequence board reappear in the future, effects may interact. Eg, you could take SpellBar now, and then get a "Spells from spellbar cost 10% less essence after cost is halved" feat.]

Feat - Self-Determination

Slater becomes immune to compulsions.

Or

Feat - Memory Lock

Slater's memory stays intact through processes that would degrade it.

Feats... how about "Efficient Construction: Slater uses 25% less Essence."?

If not that, I like that "Strong mind: Slater's sanity is no longer decreasing while in the void, and he takes half penalty from sanity degrading effects." thing.
