You could also use Freeze. Or try Death, to kill him instantly. That's probably rather draining though.

He brings his sword down, and I barely dodge the gigantic thing. I attempt to jam a blade in his throat, but he grabs my arm and stops the momentum.
Person in white:"Attempted murder and stealing. You're filth."
He throws me away from him and gets ready for another sword swipe.

I've just noticed that his voice sounds almost emotionless. He rushes toward me.

Well that's interesting. Sounds like it's time for a disspell. If I remember correctly that's a white magic spell, so focus on positive emotions and say "Disspell".

Keep moving though. Dodge his blow, then step in close to his elbow and see if you can't hit it and hopefully break it.

Perhaps doing something like disspelling him and then poisoning him might be a good idea. Make sure he does not get in a spell of his own, though.

When he said that, he sounded desperate.

jeez is that all? ask him how the order is helping with that. are they giving him stuff? scrying for her? or just signed him up and then sent him off on is own.
