Sorry, I'm only good at ranged weaponry. It's what I use to defend against any invaders. My small frame and my ocassional clumsiness does not allow me to even use knives.

Lenk closes the book and looks at Bite.

*cue dramatic music* Well that about clinches it. Bite's really got two personalities, more or less. His rather simple but ultimately beneficent side and the side the retains its intellect and memory. Memory of orders against your group. However you must trust us, Bite will not be held here. It is foretold. If you attempt to fight him or otherwise detain him, he will somehow escape and might hurt some of you in the process. For now all we can do is listen, and wonder how exactly Lenk and Gezzono came to have this information.

I wonder... are we advising them too, but aren't aware of it?

How can you be so sure about Sanya taking care of Bite, Wisdom Stone? I mean, she probably doesn't have any clue whatsoever!

She doesn't. But she will. In certain cases, we are able to tell the future. Time isn't as linear as you mortal beings may think. If you care to know the details, you can ask, but I think it's sufficient for us to tell you that Sanya will be unharmed and Bite will be removed from the picture, at least for now.

Speaking of Bite, how's he taking all this talking like he's not right here?

Though I don't think this will stave off the inevitable, I think you need to tell something to Bite. Well, at least, if you consider him a friend, part of the party. Something along the lines of the following:

"Bite, I forgive you. I forgive YOU, the Bite I KNOW, the Bite that was our friend, and I know you don't want to hurt Sanya or any of us. It's not your fault. It's the OTHER Bite, the side of you we don't know, that is our enemy. Not you. So it's not your fault that Amina got hurt, but as friends, we'd like you to help us fight that other Bite, the one that would hurt us all."

I forgive both Bites. Just make sure you have some fish to throw in case of the kitty minded Bite.

Murder is not the answer. We need to bring him out in the open and talk to him and try to convince him not to kill anyone. Failing that, seal him away, but this is NOT the way to go.

It's admirable, but he's somewhat wrong. He talks of himself as being able to harm Sanya without remorse, but his actions show the lie to his words. Would such a cruel person choose to die so that an innocent would no longer carry the burden he bares? And as for being able to confront her father... It may be true that she would need to harden her heart and embrace anger in order to prevail, but the question is, would she want to prevail if it meant turning into someone who would sacrifice her friends?

But he has control over his own actions. He can choose to help ...him, or not. What's his name anyway, that would be helpful to pronouns.

No, he can't choose not to do this. Remember the flashback? Sanya's dad has supreme power and can force Bite to do stuff.

Bite is being sent against Sanya until either Sanya becomes unstable and fails the Test, or Bite dies. Bite's plan is a good one. It benefits both his other half, and Sanya.

But yeah, ask what "his" name is anyway, this pronoun usage is getting tiresome.

And everything that came after is, as they say, history.

Bite went on to confront Sanya, and mysteriously disappeared afterwards. Sanya returned, very mentally-fatigued and emotionally-stirred up. She requested that we stay in the Nocitome Tribe for a few more days.

Amina is fine now. She's quickly recovered from her injuries thanks to Gazzene.

Gezzono's chance of recovery has yet to be determined, but Lenk has guaranteed us that he was able to grab the required ingredients to heal his blindness.

... And Bite... I can't tell if he returned safely to his own world...

... But I am hopeful.

Bite needs a new name to better suit who he had become. He is/was more than an animal now/then.
