Death means some GREAT CHANGE happened, but probably is being used to mean someone near us died.

Inverted 5 of coins means we were in a shitty situation but it's getting better.

We're picking our tragic past. I'd vote for 5 of coins but knowing the author we could wind up being a former prostitute. Death it is.

>>
No. 412261 ID: 8346d2

Finicky. You drank a lot of saltwater, look for a better source of water. Fruits and fish can do the job, but a river or lake would be ideal. Put your clothes to dry. If you find an abundant supply of water, wash your body and your clothes. You're terrible at swimming and folloing advice from voices in your head. Shut up and take care, don't go for another dip. We can talk about shelter and food after that.
>>
No. 412270 ID: fdad59

Would it be better to handle the saltwater she drank by puking it up, or finding fresh water to drink and counteract it?

Also make a mental note to learn how to swim later on. A waist high pond will do for that.

Aw, it's a baby squid. Nothing to hold water to keep it as a pet, and too small to get an ink sac if you kill it. Pick it up and toss it back into the ocean.

If you're really feeling hungry, rifle through the leaves of that tree for apples, or break all the wood blocks and let the leaves drop.

Now, turn that wood block into planks, and make a crafting table from them.

Quick question: Is the sun rising, or setting. 'Cause if it's setting, you need to make a dug-out to spend the night in right away.

Next I recommend making a wooden pickaxe and wood-chopping axe. Then fell a few trees just to get some more wood. Maybe we can make a house immediately, with the wood. Or we could get to digging. Stone tools are important too, and stone is generally a better material for buildings.

You'll still need wood to make a door of course.

Well, actually, yes, Polecat is not a name, it's a callsign. As I've said, it's a tradition started by a girl who we knew only as Weasel. She got stranded on a planet very similar to this one (the question remains if it's the same one, although I doubt that).

Craft wooden tools. For that, you'll need sticks and blocks of wood. All tools have a handle made of 2 sticks (except a sword, which has a 1-stick handle), and the working part is made of wood (or, later, stone or other materials). A pickaxe is a T shape, a shovel an i shape, a sword is ! shape, an axe is i' (with a long apostrophe spanning two cells; one cell is a hoe which you likely won't need for some time). I suggest making a shovel and an axe, then digging yourself a shelter and then chopping wood until sunset.

It's like pseudonyms for people who speak to each other over long distances, typically through the medium of radio transmissions. Do you know what a radio is?

A wooden pickaxe will break through solid stone in exactly the same way as your fists punched a hole through the tree. Although wooden tools break easily. Doesn't matter for now, we'll be making stone and iron tools soon enough.

The sun is definitely setting. Start digging a shelter. Remember: darkness is your enemy if and only if there's a space near you that can either accommodate you or two of you when lying down beside each other.

Since you don't have any sources of light, please follow these instructions.
1. Look at where the sun is now. This is west. The opposite side is east.
1.5. Look at the sky. The clouds are always moving in the same direction, I don't remember which it should be. Remember which one it is, it'll help you navigate.
2. Find a nearby hill. It should be at least 3 levels high. Actually, two levels will do, you'll just have to dig down a bit too. Get to its eastern side (which will face the sun in the morning).
3. Dig a cave that has width of one block, height of two (so that you would fit in) and depth (length) of 3 or 4.
4. Enter the cave. As you enter it, place blocks of dirt on the floor you leave after you, so that there would be a long narrow window facing east.
5. Wait there until morning, then report for further instructions.

Get one or two more blocks of wood, then dig a stairway down. That's one a hole one block deep next to a hole two blocks deep next to a hole three blocks deep. Once you're in a hole one block higher than you are tall start digging to the sides to make a room. Use the ground as a ceiling.
Once you get 8 blocks move your crafting bench into your tiny room and make a furnace, then smelt the logs into charcoal. Combine the charcoal with sticks to make torches. Put up a torch, then put a plank in the top spot of the three-block deep hole so there's only a one-block gap to the outside. This will keep creatures out while also letting you know when morning comes.

Then rest.

Well, if you want to sate that hunger, you're just going to have to build a furnace to cook that chicken. Easy!

Dig sideways a little so there isn't a direct line of sight from the opening, and find stone. Make torches with one coal chunk and a stick, and stick them to the walls. Mine out some rock, and use it to make a furnace on your... crafting... table. You did pick up your crafting table, did you? No matter, make another if you forgot it. Eight chunks of stone in a circle pattern later, plunk that sucker down and oven roast some chicken over a burning plank. Coal's too precious to use up cooking one chicken right now.

So other than being a herm, do you have other distinguishing characteristics? Birthmarks or scars? Maybe a tattoo or piercing holes? Any clues at all as to who you were on your body?

The red wavy stuff is sortof like fire but not quite because the torch can't burn anything and the furnace can't burn anything except what you put in it. Also the torch will burn forever.

Put some logs from trees in the furnace after the chicken is finished cooking but the coal is still burning. They will turn into charcoal, which is about as good as coal.

I think you have enough stone left to make a stone pickax and a stone sword. Make a stone axe once you have more stone.

Once the chicken is done, you can kill the time by mining lower. Use a big stair-step pattern so you don't mine straight down. Stop when you run out of torches.

Your partner must embrace you by putting his and/or her left arm at the top of your back. With his and/or her other hand, grab your left hand. Additionally, she and/or him can put her and/or his head on your chest or shoulder.

*blech* Yeah, you're going to want to keep your left eye closed, if possible, until it heals up completely.

Now, if you want armor, you've got two choices. Leather armor, which means you'd have to hunt down and kill something like a dozen or more cows to get the leather, or iron armor, which is better, but you'll have to mine down to find about two dozen chunks of iron ore to smelt to make. Personally, I think the iron armor is easier to get the resources for, because you practically have to be a wheat farmer and rancher to get the cows for the leather armor.

Tomorrow, you need to find some Sheep. They are covered with Wool, which you can combine with Lumber to make a comfy Bed for sleeping.
Sleeping means the night gets over and done really quickly, but if your house is not secure enough you'll be waking up to an arrow in your liver.

To optimize, you should not sleep or rest near one-block thin walls as monsters can still sense you there, and you should create a small but indirect hole to the outside to let in sunlight so you can know when Dawn arrives and it's safe to leave.
On second thought, it seems you already have such a hole, but you need to place a block a short distance in front of that hole to prevent a monster from getting line of sight on you, while still letting the sunlight in.

Futa is short for Futanari, a real japanese word shared by weeaboos that directly translates to 'hermaphrodite', or more accurately 'woman-with-penis'. 'Herm' is short for hermaphrodite, and is commonly used by furries to describe the same. 'Hir' is a recently invented pronoun used to refer to trans-sexual individuals, and is commonly used by the LBGTQQUCITTSAPHO community as a universally neutral descriptor. There is also 'shemale' and 'dickgirl' which are vulgar terms applied to the poor quality and literally 3DPG western creations. As is apparent, each term is equally more accurate than 'he/she', but are charged with some negative connotations.

This guy may have a point.
I know from personal experience and from both personal and professional discussions that incidental arousal can produce an artificial state of tiredness, and without the appropriate hormones being released this uneven blood pressure can also give you painful headaches, as arousal actually cuts off bloodflow from the brain to be redirected to your member.

What I would suggest doing is packing up everything it would be a pain to replace (except torches, might as well leave those, whip out your shovel (or pick as the situation demands) and dig a long tunnel underground, away from where you sealed yourself in, surface, and take a real quick look around. If you see some funky green thing, run.

The only things you can't do while you're shut in for the night are gather wood, and do amateur farming (which for now pretty much boils down to punching any livestock that wanders by to bits). You might want to try gathering some seeds and growing grain later but it's a lot of work so I'd hold off.

So basically:
1- Get a ton of wood. Oh, and plant the saplings that fall out of trees around so you'll have more in the future.

2- Make sure you have a healthy supply of coal. If you have a vein you can reach inside, don't sweat it, otherwise, keep some raw logs to refine into charcoal later.

3- Spread a blanket of torches as far around your little base cave as you can manage.

4- (Probably won't get to it today) fence in the lit area around where you live. Monsters generally cannoy handle fences. Maybe they're scared oh hurting themselves jumping over or something.

And in addition to passing cows and pigs, some trees have apples in them, those are good eatin'.
>>
No. 414694 ID: fdad59

...What the fuck... ...That is not regular creeper behavior. Normally they creep up on people, make a sound like a burning fuse, and explode. ...They also don't talk. ...Or run away. ...Did it run when it saw your dick...? Man, it'd be sweet if your penis magically repels creepers on sight. Wait, I'm off track. Lemme think...

Right away, check for any splinters in sensitive locations; Those planks aren't exactly the smoothest. Then retrieve your clothes, chop down a couple more trees, plant any dropped saplings, and search for sheep. They're quadruped animals with a full-body afro which make a "baaaa"-like noise as a call. Unfortunately, you don't have shears to properly shear their wool off, so you'll have to punch them to death, which will only net you zero to one unit of wool.

No. 414697 ID: a2fa74

Toss 8 logs in the top of the furnace and 1 coal in the bottom. When it's done you'll have 8 charcoal.

6 planks with either the left side or the right side empty makes a door. Put the door in that opening so you can get in and out of your house easily. Monsters can't open doors for some reason.

Make a stone axe and harvest some trees. Build stacks of something to make sure you get all the logs out of each tree, and gather all the saplings that fall so you can replant the trees.

Get some sand from the beach. You can smelt it into glass for windows.

Build a 2-3 block tall stack of something on top of your house and put a torch on that; it'll give you a landmark in case you get turned around.

Find a cave and search it for iron ore. You'll need torches for that. Smelt some iron and make sheers out of two iron ingots. Use those sheers to get wool off of a sheep. Craft 3 wool in a line right above 3 planks in a line to get a bed.

Nah, they aren't SCP-173 or Weeping Angels.
Endermen are what's left of the old universe before it expanded into heat death and then crunched into another Bang to create this blocky world. The End is just a little bubble of space-time that was somehow ejected during the process, and the Endermen are those who escaped upon it.
So the reason Endermen are pure black is because they follow laws from the old universe, meaning the new ones that aren't the same or similar as before are not interacting with them, meaning that they only barely continue to cling to existence. If you observe their existence directly, you disturb their fragile quantum state that keeps them from collapsing into a pile of hyper-exotic particles, and so they kill you.

Of note is that they teleport in response to projectiles, effectively taking no damage from them.

There are a few ways to kill them safely. One is just to take advantage of their size and fight them from a spot they can't fit into. Another is to have a bunch of tamed animals with you when you fight one. Or you could just wait until it rains. Water hurts them.

I have absolutely no idea what that is. An egg maybe? You aren't supposed to ever find anything in sand that isn't sand. Unless you accidentally hit gravel and that's a piece of flint, I think we're going to have to officially call it a Mystery Object, and you should probably keep it somewhere safe.

Anyway, priorities:
- Always keep at least one piece of (char)coal handy for making new charcoal in emergencies. Ideally a stack of 8, letting you cook down a full stack of 64 logs all at once. On a related note, you can never have too many logs.
- You really should avoid running completely out of food. Animals are the best sort, but if you just plain can't find any around, go on a straight up tree murdering spree. You'll get plenty of logs, and in my experience, every 2 or 3 trees you demolish should give you a nice apple.
- Lighting is another biggie. While the sun is out and it's nice and safe, seriously, just try and get a grid of about 1 torch every 5 meters all over the place. They'll make it too bright once the sun goes down for any monsters to spawn nearby. They still can, and will commute on over, but if you're holing up for the night, it should keep you from waking up the next morning to see some creepy creeper staring at you. At least, for regular creepers. That one today was another weird X factor. For all I know it's some weirdo in a costume or something.
- Clothes are a trickier proposition. There isn't officially a recipe for making those. I suppose you might be able to improvise something with some wool (which you probably can't manage today) or some silk (if you see any spiders, dig as narrow of a little trench as you can, hide in it, and kill them when they walk over). Past that... head out tonight, kill a zombie, and steal its clothes? Not sure I can really recommend that though for reasons of hygiene. I suppose you could also try and weave something out of flowers or something.

What does it look like? Orb shaped, or a flat disc? Metal? Crystal? Are there any marking on it? Wait a second... Put it in your inventory, look at it in there, and see if a name label appears over it.

As for clothing, I don't know how to make that on the crafting table. I only know how to make armor. Maybe if you use wool or string in the same configuration as making armor, that might work. That's going to require shearing a lot of sheep, though. Pulling the clothes off a zombie might be easier, once you have armor. Better consign yourself to being in the nude for awhile longer.

Oh, and an explosion happens when something blows up, and creates a damaging shockwave around it. In the case of a creeper exploding, it's enough to kill you if you're standing next to it without armor. The explosion will also destroy neighboring terrain and structures. Some materials are explosion resistant, like cobblestone, stone, iron blocks, and obsidian. Dirt and grass... Are very, very not resistant. I'd suggest making a double-thickness cobblestone walled "safe room," and block yourself in at night to sleep, until you have armor.

I don't know if you'll want the clothes from a zombie. They're effectively animated half-rotten corpses, and their clothes are as rotten as they are. Assuming they don't disintegrate from the act of removal, they're going to reek of zombie flesh. Best to keep in the nude until you can try something better, unless you sunburn horribly and need clothes badly.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that what you just found may have been an egg laid by these weird non-standard creepers roaming about. I realize that's little consolation in light of being recently exploded and all, but it's a good reason to work on securing a safe perimeter around your little personal hidey hole. Ideally with a fence cutting you off from this beach.

For now uh.. have anything to eat? That chicken earlier got you a new eye right quick. Don't see what other options you have.
>>

>>415333
Yes, Finn, that was an explosion. Sorry your first experience with one was up close. Though, that creeper should have made a hissing sound while it puffed up to explode; That should have given you enough warning to sprint away. You're going to have to be extra vigilant in the future if there are stealth creepers roaming around.

For now, if you can't crawl back to your hovel quick enough, pile up some sand to form a wall around you. Make it as tall as you (used to) stand. That should hide you from any roaming monsters that haven't spotted you yet, and give you time to regenerate your limbs. As a last ditch option, you can throw that ender pearl towards your home, and hope to survive being teleported; It's not a pleasant experience.

...Oh, man, I hope your digestive organs reform before you get hungry. You'd be truly doomed if you couldn't eat at that point.

Raw chicken is not nearly as nutritious as cooked, and has a chance of giving you food poisoning. Puking your guts out would obviously not be good for your hunger. Best drag yourself back home and cook that bird up.
Chicken eggs usually can't be eaten or cooked, but you can try putting it in your furnace along side the chicken to check.

Actually, don't kill the pig. If you do eventually want to breed them to start a pork farm, it'd be a shame if you killed the only two pigs around, and have travel for days to herd more back. For now you can pen it in with sand or dirt, high enough it can't jump out. It'll still be there to slaughter for food in an emergency.

I don't think that pig carried the note far, and it didn't pick it up from the water since it's still legible. It also mentions a "diggy hole," a starting hovel, which is probably still around here, and might have some stuff to loot. So search around for other pages, and look for entrances dug into the cliffs or hills, and slip that note into your ruined book to hold it... Wait... Does the note look like it was torn out of a book? If it does, look in your book for ripped out pages, and check the tear line against them.

Smelt some sand into glass.
Take a stone axe and get as much wood as you can.

Add another room and light it with torches. Put a door between it and your main room. Use the glass to make a skylight, and then mine out a spiral staircase going down. Have the center be under the skylight so the sun will go all the way down while it's day out, and have torches every so often so it won't be dark at night.
Find some iron. You need iron.
>>
No. 415967 ID: 131de9

Depends, how late in the day is it at this point? I would say the best thing to do as a long term plan is torch the hell out of as big an area as you can manage, fence in a nice sized yard for yourself, build a hoe and take it to some tall grass, work on setting up a little farm for grain, and/or getting some livestock. Get a nice self-sustaining food supply that way.

The only catch is, you really don't want to be caught outside after dark. So basically for now, grab food where you can, grab as much wood as you can manage (replanting the trees) and spread any torches you have around. Once it's dark, you can kill some time building fence segments and making more torches, then work on properly securing the area. You can get a lot more done when you aren't being horribly dismembered in explosions and all.

She'd need four cows worth of leather just to make a set of boots. Leather armor is hard to make if you don't already have a cattle ranch, and is inferior to iron anyway. Best to start mining downwards at night, once you've barricaded the door with cobblestone.

For the mine head, I suggest digging out a separate room and making a door for it. Use some of that cobblestone you collected to make cobble slabs to place in the mine staircase. If you ever get your legs blown off while in the mine, it'll make crawling back up a hell of a lot easier with proper stairs.

OK, what else...? Ah, yes. Use a couple planks to make wooden pressure plates, and put them on the inside of your doors. That'll close them every time you enter, in case you forget to.

Uh, otherwise, just generally always keep spare logs, food, and torches on you while plumbing the depths of the world. There's no trees down there, but plenty of stone to make tools if you have the wood for sticks.

Players (and zombies) all wear blue/purple pants and cyan shirts by default. This similarity is not unexpected.

I remember there being a plan to get you a proper bed so you can get some quality sleep. The first step in this plan is locating a fluffy sheep and corralling it somewhere. While you CAN murder sheep for their skin, it is much more efficient to just make some cutting tools and trim their fluffy fluff. It will be like sleeping on a cloud. Won't that be nice?

You are at a stage where you need so many minor resources it is probably best to just go out exploring and see what you come across. Simply being familiar with your surroundings is itself an important part of survival. Some things to look out for before nightfall:
-Seeds of any kind. Finding wild grain is probably the easiest and most useful. Look through the tall grass.
-cowhide
-fluffy sheep fluff
-silk cords, and the giant spiders who produce them
-flint, a hard, brittle stone sometimes found in loose gravel
-a modest quantity of sand, for glass production.
-more wood. always more wood.

Also be on the lookout for any veins of unusual material in exposed rock.
>>
No. 416078 ID: 131de9

If said material seems to be faint red drippings (or blue for that matter) stay far far away.

But again, gather wood/meat by day, stone and such by night. And always, always spread torches around.

And I think you have plenty of sand, glass doesn't need much.

Joy of joys, you have found not one but two fluffy fluffy sheep. They are completely harmless, and apparently inedible, but they are SO FLUFFY YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. Touch one. go on. do it.

Fence them in! use a tall wall of dirt if you don't have fence sticks ready for use. They are slow moving, but don't let them escape.

You could probably just kill them for the small chance at getting usable wool. Where there's two, there's more.
>>
No. 417974 ID: 131de9

>>417970

No way. It's much more practical, if there's two sheep right by where you're living, to enclose them and get an infinite wool supply going.

Ideally, you want to fence off an area of grass (with like, actual fencing) around the sheep, close to where you're staying, and make sure it's real well-lit with torches.

If you don't have any fencing yet (or the wood to quickly make some- 6 sticks arranged in kind of a grid basically), in a pinch you can pile dirt up 2 blocks high. The problem with doing that is, it will keep most monsters out, but spiders can climb over the top (unless you put an outward facing lip on top, like an upside-down L), and endermen can come poke holes in the sides. Neither is too keen on actual fencing though, and it makes it easier for fresh grass to spread in.

But yeah, if you can get those two sheep penned in with some grass inside, and more outside to reseed itself, bam. Infinite sheep, therefore infinite wool. Easier to get with sheers, but either way, clothing and beds await.

Pen the sheep in. Make a fuckton of torches. Then dig down a while by digging out your height forward, then one block below that, moving down and repeating. Like this:

s: stone

step 1

o x s

s s x s

step 3:

s s

s o x s

That's the safest and most efficient ascendable way to descend. You should be able to hop up that staircase faster than you can hop down it. Every time it gets dark enough for enemies to emerge put another torch on the wall. You can also go straight down and build a ladder back up, but I've found picks last longer to dig the extra blocks, than the trouble of making ladders. Plus never dig directly underneath yourself etc.

After you've gone down about 50 blocks or so, just dig out the blocks in front of you and not the third one below it, to make a nice corridor you can walk through. Your goal is basically to find reddish rocks and you can only really do so by digging around.

Once you find iron, yay! Iron can be used for maaaaaaany things. Since this mine you're digging has no forks in it you won't get lost either. Once you have enough iron to craft iron weapons and armor, then you can go exploring on the surface to see if you can find anyone else.
>>
No. 418024 ID: 131de9

>>418011

You could probably have drawn a diagram there and been a bit clearer. Or said "mine out some rough steps."

Of course, if there's iron sitting right there in the side of a cliff, mining down for some isn't necessary in the short term.

Caves are annoying that way. Not only can monsters hide in them, but that whole monsters appearing in the dark bit? That's not just at night. Unless an area is well-lit, killing monsters won't really get you anywhere. More will just come.

You don't have the armor or bow and arrows to take on a skeleton archer, so grab hold of the sheep, and drag them over to next to the cave entrance. Skeletons will stay out of the sunlight, so stick to the cliff wall and drop dirt in front of the cave entrance, up to head height. That'll keep that bony fucker penned up.

You're actually lucky that arrow was a through-and-through shot. You'd have to dig the damn thing out otherwise. Grab the pointy end and pull it out from the front. I won't lie; It's going to hurt, but that'll clear it out so your regeneration will work. Afterwards drag those sheep back home and pen them in with dirt blocks until you can make proper fences.

You'll want to get that iron ore cooked up in the furnace right away. That'll make four iron ingots, two of which can be used to make shears that'll cut the wool off those sheep without killing them. The wool will eventually grow back, if they have grass to eat.

Get these sheep home and contained before it gets dark. Charging after him without a plan is just what he wants. You will be BACK for him.

You'll have to smelt that ore in your oven to turn it into something useful. Smelting uses heat and carbon (both conveniently provided by your coal supply) to burn off the impurities and leave you with workable metal. Then you can see about forming some into a pair of small blades for trimming sheep. You can use the rest to make one big blade to fuck that skeleton's shit up. A metal sword is way better than a stone one.

I suppose for now you could drag them inside with you. That would contain them quickly and give you time to work, but you might have to hear their hellish bleating all night. I dunno, I am not sure if those things sleep.

Seriously though, refining that ore into iron is super easy. You bank up a good hot coal fire and you stick the ore into the middle of it. Science does the rest. You can do other stuff while it cooks off the slag. Then you can use a rock or something to beat it into shape. Shears are just two little knives facing eachother and connected by a thin piece of metal at the base in a U shape. The idea is you push the two blades together to cut what's between them, and the thin part of the metal is a simple spring to pull them apart again.

Pull the sheep inside while you cook up the ore and make fence sections, then place the fences, and pull the sheep out again. That'll keep them from wandering off until you're done.

You can make a gate for the fence with four sticks and two planks. Two planks over each other, with sticks flanking them. Only make enough fence to enclose a four by four area.

Once the iron ore is cooked, place two iron ingots in a diagonal pattern to make shears, then use them to shear the sheep.

I am also concerned about the potential for something scary to drop down from above your door and be unable to wander away, forcing it to lurk outside waiting for you. Nope. Hills are not your friend for this sort of thing. If they are forced to stand on level ground for the attempt, a monster cannot hop over a fence. If they can get above ground level though, they can not only get over just fine, but they can also just hop across a tiny gap, onto the fence and over from there. That corner immediately to your left as you come out the door is unsecured as hell, and things can plop down off the roof too.

Best way to get this secured is to take that spiffy shovel of yours, climb up on the roof, flatten off that bump, use that dirt to smooth out that unsecured corner, and then add more fencing along the roof line there. Plus, you know, torches all over.

Also, you might want to use one piece of brown wool in your bed, so you have one of each left over. Totally don't know how one makes clothes, but if you do have enough wool, do you really just want a brown shirt and brown pants?

Yeah... remember that whole "get inside and seal that hole up before doing anything else" bit? Now you've got a creeper about to drop into your house, blowing both it and you up. Hopefully if you live through this you will retain the lesson that seriously, you do not run around naked in the dark or leave your valuables exposed to monsters.

You probably don't have time to seal that hole up before it gets over, and even if you do, it'll drop down into your yard there and blow when you open the door.

The only real way out of this is if you can manage to lure it away and either kill it by really carefully poking it, running off, waiting for it to stop sizzling, repeat, which is hard enough to pull off it'll probably get you blown to bits again, or, since you have that diamond shovel, dig a real quick pit, 2 blocks deep, try to trick it in, and then haul your butt back home to seal things up and hope there isn't another one out there in the morning.

Save the zombie meat only as a last resort, if you're starving to death. Apples make for a sweet and delicious breakfast!

Peek out the door before going out, and close the door behind you. Good practices we shouldn't have to remind you about, but just in case, I will anyway. Assuming you don't see any danger, you should get started gathering some seeds by rooting through tall grass. This will be the beginnings of your sustainable source of food.

After all, once you have a solid source of food, you're free to do whatever you want, when you want.
>>
No. 418796 ID: 131de9

Lucky you for surviving. I'd say your big priorities for now are to fix that roof problem (build it up with some extra dirt I guess, get a nice flat suface so you can put a fence on the edge, keep monsters from dropping down into your yard), torch the area up some more, and oh yeah, try and make some clothes out of that spare wool already!

If you can't figure it out, you might need to get more. Armor is generally made by laying metal out in kind of a lowercase "n" for the pants and an "H" with the bottom filled in for the shirt. Might be the same deal I guess.

The non-hostile creeper you encountered seems to be attracted to you. Ponder the possibility of a relationship, after examining it's supposed gift.
>>
No. 418822 ID: fdad59

First things first, eat an apple. Zombie meat is absolute last-ditch rations, and then only if you have a stack of it. The zombie's hunger curse is in the meat; You eat it and for a short while it makes you hungry much faster.

Next up: Mob-proofing your front yard. Build some more fence sections and run them up the wall from the existing fence, and along the top of the hill over your front door. Then smooth out the hill over your home so mobs can't jump from there onto the top of the fence, and from there into your yard. Throw together some more torches and stick them to the tops of the fence sections in the corners, and in a ring around the fence. Drive back the darkness, basically.

Inside, make more headroom by digging down a couple layers, and more floor space by digging back a couple layers, and a layer to each side. This'll give you more cobblestone to work with. Eventually you want to reinforce your home's walls, floor and ceiling with double-thick cobblestone. Two layers of cobblestone will soak up the blast from a creeper, leaving only a small hole in the layers, and protecting anything inside.

What's the note say? Also, that creeper gave you some NICE stuff. The red dust is redstone dust. It can be used to make essentially circuitry, among other useful items. The first thing you should make with it is a compass- surround some with 4 iron ingots.

The grey dust is gunpowder, and can be used to make TNT. Usually you get that by killing creepers. Did the green guy kill his own kind?

The yellow dust is glowstone dust and I have no idea how he got it. Normally you need to take a trip to an alternate dimension for that. With the green guy's ability to remove and place blocks like you, I suspect he may have actually gone there personally... He must be quite formidable. Anyway, glowstone is not actually that useful.

Where the fuck did that creeper get this stuff? The red dust is redstone, which is only found in the depths of the world. The yellow dust is glowstone dust, which can only found in the Nether, which requires constructing a Nether portal to reach from this world. The black stone shards are flint, which is easily found in gravel if you break down enough of it. Lastly, that grey powder is gunpowder, and is only found in dead creepers; It's part of what makes them go "boom." Best guess, the creepy stalker creeper gathered this stuff up from another person who ran into one of its more explosive brethren, and got blown up.

>>418840
Er, yeah. You got some inventory management issues going on there. Let's see what you can store in your chest...
Read the creeper's note, then put both notes into the chest; Stash the fluff (wool,) feathers, arrow, black rock (flint,) red dust (redstone,) grey dust (gunpowder,) yellow dust (glowstone dust,) iron, leather, string, egg, zombie meat, and the ruined book. If you run out of chest room, make another chest and plunk it down next to your current one to make a double-wide one.

>>418846
You do have some chin stubble going on there. I don't know how to craft a razor blade, so the best you can do is grow it out and shear it. Grow it out enough and maybe you can make your own fluff.

Dear Diary
Journal log 39
Date: Day 80

I've rekindled my feelings with my Ex... It was hard telling her about Lapis, and what I did behind her back... I'm surprised at how well she took it. I think she might have found some one else while I was gone, let's hope it's someone more... more faithful then me... *Sigh* She talked me into returning to my studies of the desert bees. I admit it would be good for my mind to focus on a project rather than racking my brain with lava.

Journal log 40
Date: Day 83

The most peculiar thing happened today, I was studying the desert bees eggs when I found one of my old books, it was number four. I remembered the good times when I'd just sit down with a nice glass of milk and write passionate stories till the sun sets... I reread my own works and reminisced in nostalgia, I still love how Green's so passionate with Jake regardless of their age... That Green was such a freak though... I have to say 4 was one of my favorite works, one of the rare works I didn't write myself in at that. But I'm getting ahead of myself here... As i put the book down to rub my eyes, I accidentally knocked over the bag I kept the fire demon's dust in and it fell on the eggs. The eggs reacted very peculiarly to the fiery dust... I'll need to study this new phenomenon, but for that, I must venture back to hell to gather more dust.

Journal log 41
Date: Day 107

I've been at this for days, I know there's something to these fermented eggs... I've met up with my Ex down in the caves, she always was my muse... She suspects obsidian may have something to do with it, but I have yet to make any conclusions. I'm still experimenting, but I have so foolishly ran out of paper, I'll have to search for more before I can continue these reports, all the while I'm growing very lonely... I hope I find her soon, maybe I'll see her as I search for reeds.

Well, you are almost set here. Lets see about getting you self-sustaining, and then we can work on comfort and desire projects. You need a renewable food source, both for you and any livestock you want to eat. Edible grain the easiest, since it is just a variety of matured grass. Go look through the tall grass for stalks covered in seeds, and collect a few handfuls to get you started. Then you will want to prep some ground near water to start growing it in quantity. You will need to make a hoe, which is just like a pickaxe with one of the pointy ends cut off.

You can either cut down tall grass with whatever you want, you can just rip them out of the ground with your hands, or till up any short grass with the hoe. You should be able to find some seeds that way. Don't destroy all the grass in an area, so that it will eventually regrow.

Also... Yay socks!
>>
No. 418948 ID: 131de9

One quick note- While you've almost got a totally secure little home here, you're going to want to shave off the edges of the hill here where they come close to your fence. As you come out your door, there's a long shelf to your right, and the two corners to your left where a persistent enough creeper could still leap the gap and hop over your fence. Won't take too long to fix, and then you're pretty much set. Only monster concerns will be creepers and spiders hanging out outside the fence. Spread more torches around the area though and that shouldn't really be a problem either. Hooray for being able to relax some.

Anyway yeah, a stable food supply is the next big priority. You're going to want some grass seed, and you're going to need some more wood for fences (and torches). Can't grow wheat for bread in the same place you're keeping the sheep, they'll just trample all over it.
>>
No. 418954 ID: fdad59

>>418934
Better stash those socks for now. They'll just get messed up with no boots to go over them.

That hoe doesn't have to be used to collect seeds. Go just around your place and rip up tall grass, looking for seed pods and such. If you don't find any that way, then use the hoe to till up the short grass.
Once you have the seeds, you'll want to plant them in hoe tilled soil within four blocks of water, so they are hydrated. Make sure to walk slow and carefully over the tilled soil, so you don't tamp it down again. Also, bring fence sections to put around the farm plot, so the wildlife and mobs don't trample the crops.

>>418925
To build a real house, you're going to need cobblestone for the double-thick creeper-resistant walls, and iron for an iron front door. To get these, rip up the floor in your place and start mining down, leaving a set of stair-step blocks along on the walls to get down to the bottom. Eventually, once you have enough materials to construct a new home, you can turn the old place into your mine entrance.

Man, that's why I told you to start near water so you wouldn't have to deal with this. Oh well. You can still plant things for now, it will just grow more slowly unless it rains. More iron would be a good idea in general, but it is not absolutely vital at the moment.

You should probably resume your search for another shelter out in the world today. If it is abandoned, it might have things you can use, and if not, well even better. Look around where you found the sheep. Red sheep don't occur naturally, someone had to dye its wool once upon a time.

Normally you'd need an iron bucket to carry water up here. That'd require three iron ingots in a "v" formation. However, there's something you could try with what you have. Take three planks and put them in a "v" formation. This should make four wooden bowls. Go to the nearest water source, fill them all with water, and carry them back to dump into a water pit. If that doesn't work, try watering the tilled earth directly with them.

What are you talking about? All water is the same. Everyone knows that. Also it ignores the laws of conservation of mass, because it can be both created and destroyed through trivial means.

But this exercise is not getting us anywhere. You can be more productive elsewhere Finn. Head inland and see if you can figure out where the pig got his chew toy and the sheep got his red wool.

Speaking of wool, you should be able to just wait a minute between shearings so that they eat some grass and regrow their wool, and get enough for a full outfit in like, 10 minutes.

I wouldn't explore the cave as you are no. Caves are full of monsters, dark, and confusing. You'd really want to have a bow, maybe some armor, a supply of food, a ton of torches, and a system for placing them you can use to follow them back out.

Don't go into the cave, you are not prepared. (Why is the cave entrance not blocked up, anyway?) Instead search around for the ruins of a house, or a hill-side dugout hovel like yours; Placed cobblestone is a good indicator, since it hardly occurs naturally. Also be on the lookout for craters like the one that creeper made when it exploded behind you. That would indicate someone was there at some point for a creeper to blow up.

Leave the fire alone. It's not going to spread, and putting it out will make whoever lit it know that someone else is here.

Check the chest first. Then flip that lever to see what it does.

I don't really like building, but i like having built things... Exploring's not particularly fun, especially when you blowup or get shot.

[Fincy]-I don't know... I lost all my memories of beyond two days ago. I've been bent on survival ever since, not much time for fun. I'm learning how to dance and I like to fight, I also like to masturbate, but that goes without saying...

[Marty]-I guess so... *Blush*

>>423952
Good design, now we just need the fluff to make it. I think the daemons should be ready for another shear by now.

[Fincy]-So what do you like to do, what's fun for a creeper?

[Marty]-Well I like to take walks, I like to stand on cliffs and feel the breeze, and sometimes I sing~ I like exploring and learning about other cultures, but most creepers don't share that interest. But mostly I love to swim~

[Fincy]-I hate water...

>With no more warning than a drip from the heavens, it starts to rain.

[Fincy]-*Grumble*

something you should probably do is figure out a way to collect rain water, clean water is useful, despite any fears you have.

How does it swim with no arms...

Actually, nevermind.

Rain would be great if you had crops planted.

>Fincy drops down into the house to avoid the rain.

I already tried the levers, one made a table, the other didn't do much and the last one made it flood. Mt question is why was there a flood button?

>>424382
Yeah guess...

>She pops a few bowls out side to gather water and sits down next to the fire.

>>424416
Good things I planted them on my roof~

[Finn]-Hey Marty... How do you swim?

[Marty]-Creepers float, and I paddle around with my feet~

[Finn]-Hehh... Say, you know where my clothes are?

[Marty]-No sorry... But there's some clothes in that tunnel some where. That is if no one's taken em.

Sweet clothes, let's go get em before we leave.

[Marty]-You okay? You seem a little down.

[Finn]-What... Oh, eum no... I'm fine...

[Marty]-Well you look sad, here have a story~

>Martyr spits out a couple page to you.

[Mart]-It's a love story, when ever I feel sad I read it, helps me cheer right up~ I wish I had all the pages though...

There's no date or log number... But there's page numbers, 193 to 196... Well I've got a whole lot of notes and nothing to do. Should I go look for clothes in the cave, maybe mine a bit, or should I read the notes?
I have journal log 84 and 90 as well as 92 and another untitled one in that box, plus the two pages Marty gave me.
I guess I could talk up Marty if I was real bored.

The flood button was probably a shower button, before it got exploded.
>>
No. 426075 ID: 132b99

it was an endermen defense mechanism. endermen are hurt by water. so if one gets in the house you flood the place.

Tell Marty the numbers of the ones he didn't include in his present and ask if he wants to read them while you search the tunnel for clothes. If yes, trade them to him for the pages he has.

[Marty]-Oh my! thanks you~

He seems quite content, don't see why... Just notes...

>>426076
Okay I followed that tunnel all the way to the end, down a ladder and up a hill. Here's were you come in, there's a fork in the road... Both are lighten, one side's got a more reddish hue to it and is distinctively hotter... Which way?

So... to the right is lava? I'd stay away from lava until you find clothes to protect against sparks.

I thought Marty knew where the clothes were?
>>
No. 426642 ID: 132b99

well, best bet for cool stuff is near lava, but you may want safety until you are clothed, so head left for now.

Lava = Dangerous. Possibly linked to less-developed cavern systems.
Go towards the purer light, for now.

> He seems quite content, don't see why...
Because he was alone? Something written by someone, proof that someone was there. Memories, sorrows, joys. He's filled by these feelings! The void yields, even if only a little! Perhaps this person is still there? Others will come? Hope! He isn't alone! Maybe, just like him to this person, others will recognize his existence even after his body is consumed by the earth? Fincy, when does a "man" die? A "man" dies when he is forgotten!

left it is.

[Finn]-Didn't you say you knew where the clothes were?

[Marty]-Yeah it's this way.

[Finn]-What's that way?

[Marty]-I've never been that way, there's lava there, we try to avoid it if possible...

wonder why, Lava usually brings about cool stuff right?
It's hard to keep him in front, I have longer legs then him and he keeps stopping to be fascinated with every last rock!!

>>426788
That's beautiful... Ahh my eyes are watering up.

[Marty]-You okay?

[Finn]-I got something in my eye.

I think I can understand him a little...

>They walk a ways on until the small road opens up to a rather small room. The walls are irregular and cracked, there's an open door leading into a dark and narrow passage.

[Finn]-Where's that lead to?

[Marty]-Up and out the other side of the mountain.

Here's the chest, let's see... There's 2 stone pick axes, 7 gold ores, 3 iron ores, 12 coal, 8 log, 12 red dusts a solid black cube and the clothes!!

>Fincy holds up the familiar clothes.

*Sigh* These... I recognize these pants... I kinda feel like staying in the nude rather then wearing his pants... Think the daemons at home are full of fluff by now?

TO THE LAVA WITH THOSE.

YOU CAN WAIT FOR FLUFF IT'S NOT LIKE IT'S SNOWING OUTSIDE OR ANYTHING.

You could wear them temporarily. They look like the clothes you wore before you lost your memory. Do you not like who you were before?

Or you could like, alter them. You've got cutting implements.
>>
No. 427111 ID: b2f225

It would be disrespectful to do that in front of Mark. You can use these clothes for other purposes, anyway.

OK FINE MARTY CAN WEAR THEM.
