You've got to admit that even now space can stir your heart with romantic fantasies of adventure and thoughts of braving the unknown. No matter how much of the infinite cosmos you think you know, the massive unexplored expanse never seems to diminish! Though, with that being said, the day to day reality of being a colonist in the Terran Assembly is dreadfully monotonous. Not that you can really complain about your accommodations, they're quite nice, it's just that the exciting dreams you might have fostered as a child are just that, dreams. And that's how they'll always be in your head as you think about them during your company mandated breaks.
It’s during these breaks where the monotony begins to set in is where you find yourself spending your free time chatting online with strangers. Sharing your enthusiasm for old fanciful ideas about the cosmos and aliens, particularly to those with similar predilection. Discussions like this are far from meaningful, but they are fun.
Recently you've being exchanging a few messages with one of these individuals, though with a far greater imagination. This person has had a lot to say about these feathered aliens that live in intensely cold planets from the sector. Although their statements seem questionable, their enthusiasm is captivating, so you figured you'd invited them for a video call.
Your friend was reluctant to accept your invitation at first, the idea suddenly making them shy. With some gentle nudging though they eventually relented and said they'd give it a shot, and that it might even be fun.
