I’m Carlos Acoste… Son of General Steven Acoste. I’m 21, soon to be 22 years old, I’m native and currently living on New Stockholm-3, within the Azure Alliance.

I Recently graduated from the Miraborg Academy of Military Science, achieving the rank of Sub-Lieutenant. As is tradition… I spent most of yesterday celebrating and drinking… and now I’m paying for it with a headache… Some dizziness and an extremely dry throat…

Now… if this headache would recede… I might be able to think of what to do next…

Check around for some water or some left over booze. Whichever you find first

Enhance knockers.

Be a pirate.

Okay but seriously, get some milk and eggs, have some vegetable mush pipe fed down your esophagus. Nutrients will help you recover faster.

What type of last name is Acoste?

Yeah get some water. Whether to drink or dump on your face is up to you.

"The Acosters are a long, successful line of Juggalo Pirates who convince ancient conspiracies to promote them to positions of power, because the apparently-inexplicable success of obviously-evil-and-insane men breaks the hope of the masses."

That's what the conspiracy theorists on fringe-fringe worlds say about your clan, anyway...

>Enhance knockers
I… Specifically went through the trouble reducing my “knockers”. I still don’t feel like going back in that.

>What type of last name is Acoste?
From what I been told, it used to be “Acosta”, But due to some problems with paperwork a long time ago, it was changed, and my Great great-grand parents were too lazy to change it back, so it stuck…
I guess it could have been worse, heard even worse last names out there.

>>That's what the conspiracy theorists on fringe-fringe worlds say about your clan, anyway...
Of course not! My family has a… relatively speaking, long tradition of serving with… relative distinction! Like sure, we never actually did anything THAT noteworthy as some others have… but we have always been working in the favor of Azure Alliance and all its worlds and people.

>missing sock
What the…Where is my sock?! And how did I manage to miss THAT sock, but lose my left boot?!

I know! I know! … Agh… This is the last time I listen to Jack… and Last time I drink that much… I’m… really struggling to remember most of what happened last night… how the hell did I even get back to my room...?

Oh… Here it is… The sock, that is… wrapped on the bed’s covers… No clues on my left boot though…

>appreciate that uniform top hanging on your wall
Ah… that’s the formalwear for officers, used for celebrations and the sort. I only got to use it like once or twice, last time was yesterday, on the graduation ceremony. Soon after, I came back here to change to my backup uniform, because I knew I was going to get trashed in the… “after party”. I didn’t want it to get stained. I still needed to get the rest of the uniform framed, but I liked the top more... a Shame I don't get to use it that often.

> Become Pirate
Yeah… I remember those fantasies as a child. It was fun, even on some videogames. At this point in time though, I feel like I’m good. I don’t think the life of a pirate would do well for me.

> become a schizophrenic homeless guy who is addicted to crack.
Though I’d still try being a pirate before going there! Though… is crack still a common drug out there? I think I heard in history class it started becoming less common, as it was shown to not affect the other species in the alliance all that much… Questions for later.

Right… let’s see… Well… there is about half a cup of cold tea I didn’t finish… yesterday? The day before that? No time to question. Thank you past me…

Hm? Right a message… From my father it seems… I guess I can play it and see what’s it all about…

Playing recording. “… Congratulations on your graduation, Carlos. I apologize I wasn’t present during the ceremony.”

That’s not surprising.

“Regardless. Hopefully you had a good rest. I’m sending you this message at this specific time in hopes you managed to rest properly from your… activities last night.

Since I’m already sending you this message, I figured I should take the opportunity to inform you that you should now have an assignment waiting for you at command. I won’t be giving you much details over a voice message, but I can assure you it will be an off-world assignment, so I’d recommend taking some time to calmly look into your things and figure what to take with you. Don’t worry much about the rest, someone will take care of sorting everything out, and your room will be given to someone else.”

Well, that’s to be expected… I didn’t hear there were many spots available here in New Stockholm.

“Report to your superior’s office at 0900 hours, where you will be properly briefed… And son… Congratulations.”

…At… 0900…

What time *is* it, then? How long do you have to pack? What have you got that you'd want to pack?

40 minutes means you need to get dressed, grab the nearest snack, and walk briskly. Don't look exasperated or your officers will claim you were tardy just to spite your panic.

Just graduated and already given an off-world assignment?
And he couldn't give details over voicemail? Must be sensitive.
This will certainly be an interesting briefing if nothing else.

40 minutes to find a sock, secure kit and make oneself presentable.
Eating on the march is frowned upon in sone kilitaries, but theres nothing saying you cant eat something while youre flyingbaround your room.
Hey, check inside the boot for the sock.
