There're handholds in the wall, with each step roughly textured and gently inclined away from the sea. I will... probably survive.
I start down.

The beach is narrow and rocky, but pleasant. I think some sea caves line the bottom, reflections off the water quite pretty at the right times of day. Nice skerries to swim out to, as well.
Otherwise, just the docks. Some ships, a few buildings.

Maybe. Or maybe she's just nervous. She does seem a bit... I don't know. I'm not great at this. I'm sure I'll see her again sometime. I can get to know her better then.
I'm sure mom'd be proud if I managed into a family of status like the Dubhlochs, but not much chance I'd make it past their approval. Might be better served looking for other options.
My friend Ruadan is... I'm having trouble remembering. Easygoing, pretty sure. He always happened to be around. Son of a friendly family, think they're all traders and sailors.

I have a younger sister name... Cibha? Where is she? Must've been out when I woke up.
My remaining grandparent is around, occasionally. Grandfather. Mom's dad. A sailor. He left for something before the Fog drowned me. Did my father as well? He's a sailor too. Hope he's back for Lutricalia.
We're dyemakers. Mom's profession, we inherit it. The sailors married in. Mobile professions chiefly marry into the woman's family. Need to get permission of the mother of the one whose family is being married into.
Other lands call us rude. We'd call them stuck-up - a stick up the ass just makes you constipated. Being direct about things is fine.
But that doesn't make me less nervous.

That house, I... I don't recall. Think it's on Farraigemhor property right before the farms, but their house is huge, probably the biggest in town. Maybe a family that works for them?

Just my thoughts. Thinking to myself. I think. Don't know why my head does this.
Has food, games, music, crafts, everything - Lutricalia's a festival for all, not just us. Special rites for us, sure, but it's a celebration of life, the date of the marriage of Edrac and Lea, the beginning of iascull season, and one last great catch before the taboo is in place. Can't fish in iascull season, have to let them love and grow same as us.
The splitlimbed thing is probably from the ship, yeah, but who knows. The chitterlings don't come around here. Might not even be any on the ship. They deal with slavers and demons, not us.
