And at last, like a warrior returning home, he makes his way to the cavernous library.

The library of a knowledge demon is a wonder unparalleled among the planes. Books of incredible power reside here. Unique books. Books you could never find anywhere else.

Orpheo reads deep into the night. So many tomes pass through his hands the night becomes an amber, candle-lit blur. Faster than he had imagined, the sun rises.

Which mage will we control today?

> resurrect defeated adventurers into a prison, and then ransom them back to their allies or stir up the earth pulse even more with an escape sequence? [...] and even nibble at wealth they left behind in town

You'd have to ask Deem about that; better not to assume. Regardless of her reception to the idea, we can't pretend that we can do this without it being seen as an act of hostility by the neighboring populace. These sorts of decisions carry consequences. If we want to go ahead with this route that's alright, so long as we are prepared for their natural outcomes.

> And holding people for ransom changes the whole tone of what we're doing.
Personal opinion states we should operate the dungeon in a spirit of sportsmanship. We run it and present it as more of a recreational arena and training facility than a small and territorial sovereign nation.

>"As for wars and things, there's a lot of saber rattling going on between the Empire of Leogadia and the Witchocracy of Vaya. They've even been sponsoring adventurers and relic hunters to beef up their elite units and magical armament in case it comes to war. I guess if you were a dungeoneer in these sort of times you'd either be doing very well, or going out of business."
Besides, there's a war coming on and we want to be considered an asset to our surrounding polities rather than a liability.
