>COMBAT ROLLAN RULE REMINDER

In combat, things become difficult to cause likelihood of failure. This is represented by a d100 roll-under system.

The formula is:

> SKILL X 10 + CIRCUMSTANCE + PENALTIES + BOONS

for the number to roll under.

For instance, an unarmored bandit being shot at from prime distance with a lazer sight and under the effects of Pain would result in...

20 + 5 + 0 + 20

Resulting in a 45% chance to hit.


Similarily, a spell needs a check, though its combat check is:

> - Spell Difficulty + Skill x 10 + Circumstance + Boon + Penalty

So trying to cast Pain while suffering from a painful wound, in a minor sandstorm, would result in this:

-5 + 80 + -20 + 0 + -10 = 45% chance to cast successfully.
