Maps, for the way to adventure is a winding one.

This one belongs to a friend.

I would like to see some maps too. But I don't seem to have any saved at all.

One of my favorite setting maps probably, even if it is just a 'vidiya gaem.' I prefered the style of it more than the Oblivion one. Probably becasue it looks less 'professional' and more like something a traveler or pilgrim would use to spot landmarks.

Something a bit more tabletop, space maps are always a bit amusing in that they have to leave out the 'depth of field' that would come in a proper galactic map.

I loved that game. Morrowind had the most atmosphere I remember in any RPG.
(Oblivion does have better combat and graphics, but Morrowind did just about everything else better.)

I love the map threads on /tg/, but they just don't last.

This is my favourite space map; from Full Thrust, it shows the national allegiances that have travelled out from Earth, with efficient travel routes.

The map itself is an accurate depiction of all the stars within 15 parsecs of our Earth. It's flattened to 2D for the picture, but they used the actual 3D distances for plotting travel routes.

Most importantly, you learned to LOVE that fucking map. It was utterly vital. No fucking "brainlessly follow arrows along the plot rails" but instead, detailed descriptions the refer to the big ass paper map infront of you. Every single quest has some form of mental challenge. Even if its just getting there.

I actually used this map to decide where to explore next. So much detail and visual interest; one of these days I'm going to get a copy printed off as a poster.

Not sure how kosher WIP maps are, but here's one I'm working on right now. Need to add actual detail (forests, towns, etc) but landmasses are pretty much set in stone for now.

Just found this one: the stars and routes for Traveller 2300 A.D. based on the actual stars near Earth.

Here's a classic: the world of Conan. I like how it kind of looks like the present-day world, fitting in with Howard's idea. Not sure how I feel about "Iranistan"; feels like a lazy addition probably by another author.

I'm in a campaign run by your friend. Ask him why he didn't show us that map, instead of a badly-drawn version.

Also here's Zakhara. Gotta love Zakhara.

oooh shit, I almost forgot about Al-Qadim. Wasn't that supposed to be one of the early winners of the TSR "make this year's campaign setting" contests? I think one splatbook came out of it and that was it.

... The gazeteer series's "Emirate of Ylarum" was better anyways, even though it was for Expert/Companion D&D and not AD&D 2nd ed.

Here's mine, courtesy of the donjon generator. Campaigns over now, but went on for a good long while and my players liked it.
