Holly shit
4chan is under attack again.
/x/ and /k/ are gone and it looks like /b/ and /f/ are trying to hold.
I expect /tg/ to fall at any moment.

Yeah, we'd be fucked up the fuck if we became a target. We are too small to do anything.

Though.. that we are small also protects us. You don't get e-cred size for taking down places this small. Nor can you wave your penis in everyone's face for doing it.

I would have nowhere else to go if this place wasn't around. The funny thing is that I would have no idea it was around if it wasn't for some off-hand remark on tg a week ago. Kinda ironic; glad for the low publicity though.

Just wish it was a little more active, you know?

Maybe just use this thread for random idea shit while I'm at it.

Friend in Australia told me about EXPLODING TREES there. I think it works something like the leaves excrete some kind of oil, that when turned to vapor, is highly flammable.

NEW DND MONSTER ENCOUNTER

FUEL AIR EXPLOSION TREES.

SIT BELOW IT AND BOOM.

"The forest of no return."
You never return. Because the trees explode.

Also, second about the activity. It's a double edged sword.
>>
No. 733 ID: e499bc

Heh, I bet it is a sure fire way to get players to hate their DM.

And there is a threshold for activity. Increased activity, till it reaches this point, is a good thing. Once breached things go downhill. Almost any place on the net can be improved dramatically by there being few people around.. but still enough to go at a decent pace.

Remember when there was the attack that was focused on the servers that tracked the IPs of the 4chan servers? You could still access the board if you edited the IPs into your files?

I decided to see what /b/ was like. You could.. actually.. post a topic and not have it be gone from the first page by the time it loaded! I had actual discussions with people! I got to see an Epic Fail Guy thread done by the real EFG artist.

It was so beautiful.

So.. beautiful.

I want to cry thinking of what /b/ could be.

Eh, I was around when that happened and for most of everything else. Never really liked /b/ much though. Then again, I mostly jump around boards when I'm on 4chan. Or drawfag on /i/ as I have been doing lately.

But yeah, I agree. A decent small community is better than a behemoth without a head. I hope more immigrants find this place - 4chan is still down; maybe get a few decent discussions going.

There are also other /tg/s out there, such as the one on 99chan. It'd be nice if we could have a single conglomerated site for /tg/ off 4chan. That way quests and drawfagottry could be held and mods would (hopefully) not be deleting relevant threads and ignoring flare/cynder posts

THIS. Milion times fucking this.

But it's something you can change! Post stuff. Preferably related and original. Hell, I am not even going back to 4chan, except possibly for /rs/, because tgchan has potencial to be greater then sum of all tgs on all the chans...
>>
No. 789 ID: 273495

>>786
Well old bean the only way to come even close to that goal is to actually have content here and MAKE it the sum of all /tg/s.
Tell 99, 7, 4, everyone (well, not fchan)
Make us known, make us popular
A community of a strict few can hardly become great. More likely it becomes an elitist shithole with overtly enforced rules and crap community in general.

Should we have separate /dnd/ /mtg/ /40k/(or /war/)?
having a 2 board Chan feels a bit... odd.
>>
No. 790 ID: 273495

>>789
well given we'd have the trafic for it to be needed, I think a fairly reasonble seup would be
/pnp/ (or /dnd/) - pen and paper RPGs
/mtg/ - card games
/40k/ (or /ham/) - warhammer
/project/ - projects
/quest/ - quests
>/v/ - dwarf fortress
>/tg/ - trolling, furries, general discussion
>/meta/ - metathreads and semi-relevant discussion
>>

>Should we have separate /dnd/ /mtg/ /40k/(or /war/)?

Separate boards for separate games are highway to elitist hell. I thinmk we could begin with adding these boards:

/rpg/-for all tabletop rpgs
/war/-for all wargames
/tt/-for general tabletops like carcassone
/ccg/-for collectible devil's pictures
/pc/-for traditional vidia gaems
/draw/-for your retarded drawfaggotry noone cares about
>>

>>790

Oh, somebody was quicker than me... nice, but I belive we should avoid calling RPG board /dn/, even if 90% (it's actually probalby far smaller percentage) plays D&D... Not everybody likes D&D and calling board like that would result in great amount of trolling attempts. /rpg/ is simply better. Same with /40k/ and /mtg/...
>>
No. 793 ID: 0816e7

... and let's not forget that tgchan needs it's own /rs/...
>>
No. 794 ID: 10d723

New boards should be added on a demand basis.
When some kind of content starts to overshadow everything else ,we can give it it's own board.
But a bunch of empty special interest boards help no one.
>>
No. 795 ID: 273495

I agree, too many subboards is bad.

/rpg/ /war/ /crd/ and /tg/
rpgs - wargames - card games - other
aren't those our main bread and butter (and coffee) (and the morning paper) anyway?

Not too many boards but keeps the topics centered enough for browsing purposes and nobody needs to cry about getting 40k in their Exalted

Eh? Anyone?
>>
No. 796 ID: 10d723

>>795
I still thing it's to much. The original /tg/ worked just fine with being only one board, at least until recently.
/quest/ is a given considering it's the original purpose and the only successful board right now.
I could only see splitting /tg/ in a serious and a casual part.
/oekaki/ and /txt/ seem to be kind of useless right now.
>>
No. 798 ID: 273495

>>796
At the moment you could honestly call this site Questchan
>or more accurately Atleasttheywon'tsageoutquestsherechan

The key to the argument is that after (if) we get more people here, should we spilt the board up a bit to avoid it going downhill as fast as the 4chan /tg/, even at the possible price of making the splinter boards slower (countered by the fact that you can always browse all boards rather than just one)
>>
No. 799 ID: 10d723

>>798
4chans /tg/ got downhill because there are no mods, it's amazing it worked as long as it did.
tgchan got mods and they consist of /tg/ refugees, that means they've got a honest interest to make it work.
>>
No. 814 ID: 0816e7

>>799

4chan's /tg/ worked fine without mods. We even learned how to deal with flarefaggotry with grace. I honestly belive that less mods do make better site, unless it's elitefaggotry, when mods are necessary to enforce eliteness and eliminate trolls that could in long period cause ideological schizms. Belive me, I've been in these positions (both mod and troll) on elitefaggotry sites and it's something we (or at least me) don't want to see there.

Mods are good for removing obvious spam, CP and disgusting shit, but they should be mods that think twice before baning even the likes of flarefag.

Well, we could have a "character portrait" section. Which would just be porn dumps and pretty pictures with each thread being a different subject.

Some could even be character specific. A whole thread just for cultist-chan.

And they threads could stay around for a long time(or even set not to fall off) so we can just go there and post new stuff and still have all the old stuff. Part of the reason it happened so much on /tg/ is because old ones fell off and weren't there to reference.

Unrelated, but while you are here, I am building the personal WAAAGH! of the Arch-Arsonist of Charadon. I have a vision of the Arch-Arsonist himself. A huge fat ork in a heavy leather apron and orky welding mask with a hand-held skorcha and tanks of burny stuff on his back.

I'm going to use a warhammer fantasy ogre leadbelcher as a base. I'm converting warboss bits for the head, skorcha, etc. Tht is all within my abilities. How do I make the heavy leather apron? My greenstuff skills are somewhat basic.

I have a thread about conversions running here too
I suggest you just make the basic shape of the apron out of GS and then drape if over the ogre. Remember to plug that hole in the belly first. Them add some metal plates and rivets and cuts and whatnot to make it orky
>>
No. 911 ID: 43a399

>>908

Green stuffing a big sleeveless leather coat onto a WHFB Ogre would be easy. Another suggestion would be to find some of the metal Warboss bits, namely the head. The size of them ( I have FIVE of them ) would fit perfectly on an Ogre body just green stuff on a collar to hide the neck. A dog collar might be appropriate, or a giant shackle around his neck with a broken chain link hanging from it. Maybe a skull dangling at the end.
>>
No. 915 ID: a29c65

Yeah, it all seems do-able. It is just after previous greenstuff disasters I am lacking confidence. I should probably just get on with it and eventually it would all come good.

Eventually.

I was going to just stick a big orky glyph over the belly-hole, like some kind of giant belt buckle.
