It's just flavour that it has the R/W coloring.

If its Red flavored, IT SHOULD BE MOTHER FUCKING RED. Don't make it white, you're shoeing in horribly off color abilities. It is a dumb thing to do.

Also an idea on rewording:
Mutation X (This card comes into play with X +1/+1 counters on it. When it is sent to the graveyard, put X -1/-1 counters on target creature.)

Lower the colorless by 1, change one of the white mana to red.

Add "Champion a Seeran (When this creature comes into play, sacrifice it unless you remove another Seeran you control from the game. When ~ leaves play, return the removed card to play under your control.)" to its text.
