Is the game worth the fuckhueg GB investment? I've got 30 gigs of space left before I need to get a whole new drive for my porn & music.

Eh, I dunno about it. I mean, I played through the campaign and a couple multiplayer games, but the game just felt like they tried a new style of RTS and it wasn't really that good. No base buildan, just troops fighting troops. Bored me. Didn't feel like I was conquering anything, just fighting for nothing.

Then again, I'm >>1308 so take my opinion as you will.

No base buildan? What heresy is this?

You can build troops. That's it.

Well, that and towers on strategic points, but they don't defend.

All in all, a pretty shit system that makes it feel like you aren't going anywhere with the battle. I dunno.

I liked the combat in the campaign but the lack of base building just kills it for me.

and attacking at initiative 1 with your assault units that are not allowed to take assault grenades because they had to make a difficult terrain test to cross 1" of rough terrain during their assault movement

or taking a crap ton of bonus wounds for losing a close combat just because you're fucking fearless

or having a second squad join a melee, only to have one squad lose and be wiped out, resulting in your other squad now losing the combat and taking the previously mentioned crap ton of bonus wounds because they're fucking fearless

seriously, fearless is a HUGE penalty to assault heavy armies

hahah the "no retreat rule" is fucking hilarious

especially with tyranids

Well not fearless units can now be wiped out in a single swipe now, if they have low I they'll be pretty fucked up, so fearless is still good. Just image how jacked up would be a mob of 30 orks without taking wounds from fearless. Fuckin' unstoppable.

But orks are cheesy.
