The guard leads us to down the hall to a door. I let her have a shock to "thank" her for her cooperation. She lets out a shriek and drops to the ground convulsing.

>>48323
>How come? It looks like your hand's on the trigger.

I've modded the Shock Lance so I can carry it with one arm, and re-routed the trigger to the second handle allowing me to generate the electric charge. But this is MY Shock Lance, it's air compressor is still cracked and can't hold the air necessary to launch GUIDE RODS. Even if it was capable of still firing, I couldn't load the rods with only one arm...

I've never lost an arm, so I can't really say from first hand experience, but I've got nothing but pain shooting out of this stump, not another arm. I don't know what a "robotic" is...

The door the guard was leading us to suddenly swings open, loudly slamming against the inside of the next room. A large figure squeezes through the doorway. I think he heard us...

The engsami guard shudders under the electric assault. I can see his muscles tensing and locking up. He roars, what I can only assume to be, an engsami expletive before bringing his stiffened arm down. I leap out of the way narrowly dodging the attack as the club shatters a portion of the stone floor. His muscles still look tensed from the shock, so he's definitely still feeling it. We need weapons to arm them, and possibly armor for them. We'll get them out and take them to Tav. From there, we go to the room where we get our weapons and stuff, and have them re-equip. Re-equip Deme as well, and then we'll head for the docks. A small squad might not be the best for sneakin' about, but strength in numbers might be the difference in how we manage the next encounter. Look at it this way:

Aggeia - Scout, able to check around for possible enemies and alternate routes.

Deme - Able to fly up and take a quick look around in the city. Also, not a bad fighter in a pinch.

Binky - Can open doors, also necessary head protection for Tav.

Tav and one Lorkhe - Needs a fix for his Shock Lance, but at least we can try and get someone else to find a working launcher in the mish mash of equipment. One can launch, the other can shock - Makes for a quick fix system until we can find a prostisis for Tav. Otherwise, we can throw them.

The other three Lorkhe - CQB or Shock lances as we can find them. Try to get ranged weapons if we can find them, but As we've seen with Tav, they can at least be somewhat useful with smaller and quick weapons.

Thank you.

Running is the only option left with a living Tav involved. Which means abandoning TWO WHOLE SUBPLOTS unless we leave Aggeia behind, which results in ONE subplot being left out with the slaves. And even then, that's a dick move.

Goddammit you guys just couldn't take the more sensible path and leave the bitch waiting.

That and he took a direct hit from Ga'nneda at one point. Got slammed through a wall because of it, came through that with only, "a few bruised ribs, maybe a broken one tops." He's not likely to be on his way out yet, even if it's only through sheer stubbornness.

On the plus side, we might be able to convince her to leave Tav alone seeing as he might not ever walk again, depending on his injuries. He'll have to live the rest of his life as a vegetable if she lets him go, and this perhaps might be a fate worse than death for a soldier.

Hey guys? I just noticed something here.

While this isn't an animu we should also note this isn't a video game. Kyaos isn't going to just drop those bulky keys out of thin air once we defeat her, yet if you look closely at the images she not only doesn't appear to be carrying them, but isn't wearing anything she could hold them in....

Which... well, that just begs the question. Does she even HAVE the keys? Tav should confront her about this once she re-appears on Ga'nneda's back. (I mean, we all know that's what's about to happen... There's no way the fall killed her, no body, etc)

If she doesn't have the set of keys then... well, this fight is even more pointless and just going to get Tav killed. We need to run. Maybe say something about how "we'll settle this another day, but right now I have to do what you couldn't, Kyaos. I have to go protect my friends."

Just keep moving, whatever you do. If you stay still they'll be able to find you.

I was in favor of you fighting Kyaos, but you are in absolutely no state to do so right now.

>Say hi to Binky!

"Demesi's shocker crab? What are you doing here? I thought I gave you to Demesi before we split up."

"You did, but he's gone now. We saw to that." The crab replies, clacking it's blood stained claws together as it speaks.

You could also be having auditory hallucinations, you know. Trust not any of your senses. Just take up a defensive stance and tell whoever it is to go away.

Say "GET OUT OF MY EEEYESSSSS!"

If it laughs, it's hostile, and attack as such. If it makes a concerned sound, maybe it's Aggeia in a creepy mood. It it just looks puzzled, run away.

If I had to guess, I'd say you breathed in some of Kyaos' hallucinationgas. Chances are nothing you see is real or correct. Same goes for other senses.

Don't fucking attack it. It might not even be real. Just back into a corner and stay defensive.

"Kyeheheh. Scurrying up the wall like a scared little worm are we?" the crab clacks.

Take deep breaths. Try to clear your lungs. Swing around and see if you hit something in a place where something clearly is not at. Don't aim for the crab itself, though.

Oh, then there's no telling WHAT you just shocked. I think it may have actually been Kyaos though. You saw her briefly when you tried to shock lance Fake Gan'neda, and again this time. I think maybe the lightning overloads your eyes enough to show you the truth for a brief instant. Go find someone else, then use the shocker on the ground to try and confirm that effect.

>Yeah let's shock whoever we just shocked again.

I can't fire again yet. I've fired two full discharges, the coils need to cool and recharge before I can safely, as safe as it is to fire unguided bolts, again. I give the person a thwack with the end of the still warm Shock Lance. Nothing special seems to happen... U,enom just sort of lies there... he looks almost exactly like he did the last time I saw him... but... without the missing chunk...

>>67073

I told Demesi to meet up with Aggeia in the entrance to the main hall, or find another way out. He's not here, he might be out searching... I need a good place to wait for this damn gas to wear off... this might be a good enough location for that... I'm getting tired of seeing all this damn blood.
