Psychic powers are more believable than something ignoring the square cube law.

I couldn't think of anywhere else to post this, so into /meep/ it goes.

I'm doing a Nuzlocke run on my old Pokémon Ruby game! Anybody else here even heard of these?

Tried this with FireRed a while back, got hooked. This is how my friends and I force ourselves to play Pokemon now, though none of us can draw worth shit for a comic. When Black and White come out, it'll be full-on Nuzlocke.

Currently doing this with Platinum, although I'm scared to keep playing. I've gotten kind of attached to some of them and I'm worried about this next set of encounters, ahah. It's been a lot of fun mixing things up like this though.

Yeah, they got very popular a couple months ago and I tried it out on an emulated copy of Fire Red. I had a pretty good team going too, I kind of lost interest after a while though. I think it's a great way to play the games, it forces you to be attached to your team and be careful instead of just letting things faint willy nilly.

Made it most of the way through platinum. Even did some nuzlocke-style comics for them though I fell waaaaay behind on them.

Unfortunately my cartridge is AWOL so I haven't been able to finish.

I've been considering doing comics for this run! Especially since it's been eventful. Maybe I will, we'll see.

I would continue these but I can't find my notes on exactly what went down so I'd have to go from memory.

I really think it gets a lot better in this one.

You know, with the Pokémon actually being involved.

Not sure if I follow what is happening, but the drawings are entertaining. Thanks for the contribution.

(Or is it the official one?)

Those are Seal's (and amazing, btw). The official one starts over here: http://www.nuzlocke.com/?p=4

Also, Pickup is the best damn thing ever. I've gotten like 5 rare candies and several stat boosters from my bros, and the extra random super potions are always, always appreciated on this run.

Everything else can be liquidated and then turned into healing items. :D

My run is complete! ... it was really close. The end result wound up being a bit poignant - and quite frankly much more dramatic than I could have come up with myself.

Throughout the run, I kept a series of notes, and I believe they're detailed enough that I could work a comic out of them. Still playing with the thought...
