I'll help practice and be a target or fill in for absent players during practice but I don't feel like competitive play. I'm a chicken. Worst case scenario you are short one guy for a real match I'll fill in. All I can promise is that I will follow orders and not be a dumbass and get myself killed for some stupid reason.

Also, it looks like we won't have enough to really form a merc group on our own, so we might want to consider joining my old group, Clan Widowmaker, or The Widowmakers for MWO.

I'd like to be on the team, but I'm not so sure about being up for scheduled "raids" and shit. I got done with that stuff in WoW, I don't really want to feel OBLIGATED to play a vidya or else it'll start seeming like a second job

Well I can vouch for you so I wouldn't worry about that, they just want people to practice as a team. If it's like the old days it'll be something like tuesdays and saturdays and if you can show up, show up, if not, don't worry about it. Planned matches will be later on if anything since they won't have those at launch.

Yeah, big events don't happen in Mechwarrior. Just matches of varying intensity. I can't imagine a single match for going on more than 45 minutes, if that.

Okay, so NDA is lifted and Open Beta is next week.

I've been in the Beta for about two months now and I love how the game is shaping up. We just got a huge graphical update that's changed... a lot of things, for better and worse, but more detailed options are coming soon. The dev log says we can expect a few more mechs in the next month, along with the beginnings of electronic warfare and information warfare. Things are accelerating, it seems.

As things are now, there's a lot of depth to mech design and actual combat. I've been playing with LRM-bait pubbies for too long, though. Let's get a group formed.
