Asali reenters the scary murder forest in search of something to do. Failing this, Asali decides to look for Nu. Failing THAT,but obtaining a notebook, she decides to double back around to the Angry Tree. While on route, a spectacularly failed attempt on her life is made by a soldier wearing the king's seal (exact motive unknown). After a brief check up on the angry tree, Asali proceeds to hammer the Navibull into hamburgers. Asali then decides to go see Skraig, but is intercepted by the Duke at the scary monster chasm. The Duke questions Asali about her progress, getting progressively more upset as the conversation develops. While he looks to be getting ready to attack Asali his lapse in attentiveness gets him nabbed by the chasm creature, to which Asali responds by tapping the creature on the nose and preforming a super runaway. | Asali reenters the scary murder forest in search of something to do. Asali returns. After briefly retracing the steps of the previous chapter's events she finds the disabled robot body of one of the dungeon's previous inhabitants and, in a move that would be totally creepy with any other kind of body, decides to take it along to see if she can fix it. Moving along the rest of the dungeon she finds a secret passage in the dungeon leading to a hall of mirrors and eventually a throne room, which connects to the exit. After leaving the dungeon, Asali quickly hurries to the the queen of the flowers to find her withered and dying. However it is now apparent that the Flower Queen's blight is being caused by a darkened tentacle beast on account of it deciding that now that the flower queen is critically wounded it would be a good time to throw down. After throwing down Asali is quite hurt and stumbles off to epsilon's hideout to recover and upon seeing a bed decides the best course of action is to lay down on it and slip into unconsciousness. While unconscious a spirit shows up and asks her to come on down and visit him and his master. Upon waking up, having decided that the shit she sees while she's asleep is still more freaky than the shit she's seen while awake, Asali discovers that Mint has found and performed first aid on her. After some Q&A and T&A and acquiring a new outfit, Asali decides to see what that spirit was on about and moseys on down to the ice cave. In the entryway she is confronted by a band of animals offering their service as spirit guides(not really) (maybe). Heading into the cave she meets River Styx, the aforementioned Spirit's master. After more Q&A, less T&A, Asali convinces River to craft her a new hammer. Asali then clarifies again,by way of asking River, that she is some sort of undead. Next Asali takes the robot body to Gamma to see if he can fix it. She then takes a look at the Mariana, finding what appears to be a scary haunted-ass house with no immediate way to enter. She then tries the chasm again, where epsilon appears and offers some assistance. | Asali returns. Chapter One: Hangover
Asali wakes up in a room, drunk. She digs around the room and turns on the light. She is impaled through the chest by a black creature and warps out of the building. She walks to a broken down looking store and uses her pre-cognition ability and sees a frightening vision of some monster. She leaves to the mine and finds a skeleton in some rubble. She takes the Vibro-hammer the skeleton was carrying and goes into the Foreman's Trailer.
Inside of the Trailer she meets Bob, a ghost who used to work there. She goes outside with the ghost and helps him cross over. Once he crosses over she opens the mine, but it's too dark. She goes to the store finally and meets the Monster, Skraig. She buys all the items he has for sale and finally enters the mine.
Chapter Two: Fear
Inside of the mine she goes through the first tunnel because she can't fix the power source without tools. In the turning point, there's a white lizard strapped to a jetpack about to explode. Asali frees the small lizard creature from the death trap and starts to get away, but it explodes soon after. She is knocked into the next area.
In the next area, she finds a wrench, fixes the power, and then fixes the pipes on the gateway. She mines some ore and puts it in the refinery which then breaks. She then enters the door across from the still locked gate. Inside is water. Asali is deathly afraid of water. She explores the room and starts to fix the draining system.
She leaves the entrance of the pool back into the mine and is confronted with a Large Large. She dashes back into the pool and smashes its head with the Vibro-hammer when it tries to squeeze through. She then finishes the drain, and travels through the Pools of water, to find a deep chasm. She can't fix the bridge so she goes back into the mine and finds the last piece of the gateway, entering what was locked away before.
Chapter Three: Freedom
Inside is a large red temple to the deity, Rong. She hears a strange male voice tell her to go inside of the temple. She uncovers a red arrow on the ground and then goes inside. Inside she finds an Abnormal Monster of some sort. He is mute, and she gives him the stick (which turned out to be an ancient flute), and the bucket. He then offers to improve her warping power for 10 points, and she pays it. She picks up the first aid kit, and Eden was gone.
She leaves the temple and goes to the other side of the stairs. She smells something nice and finds a strange tablet against the wall. She goes back to the other side and finds a loose tile before leaving. Out in the mines again she replaces her bandages and sees something strange. She shines her flashlight on the Greatest Spirit, Skel-Monsta, who reigns over Life and Death.
She tries to run but trips, forced to Warp away at the last second before she is almost touched. In the pools again she begins running through the path all the way to the bridge. Her warp was still locked so she fixes the bridge with the chain and everything else she already had, and runs across. She barely escapes the snake like monster in the chasm and makes it outside.
Upon going outside, she goes to one of the many areas now available, flipping a turtle to its feet and entering HONEST IKIT'S QUALITY SHOP. She is greeted by the Complete Furry Rat.
IKIT offers goggles for Asali's flashlight, and she hesitantly accepts the trade. She buys a Rainbow Buster firework, and finds out that the town was killed by a Black Plague. She leaves and goes to the town. The town of Chilitown's sign is damaged and covered in blood.
Chapter Four: Tripping
Asali enters Chilitown. Four out of six buildings are wrecked. She checks the newspaper and sees that a reporter named Fang Tian and some of the citizens were dealing with the Black Plague. She checks the police station first. There is blood everywhere. She finds a locked dresser drawer in one of the rooms. She checks out the place and instead of figuring out the combination to the locker, she smashes and unhinges it. She gets some blood wine.
Asali enters the hut in between the in tact buildings. Inside is Mint, a drugged up Bubble Held from the Orach clan. She has a hookah going and offers Asali some drugs. She doesn't want Asali around but offers drugs for liquor or Points. Asali buy some drugs, and trades the mushroom for a Rainbow Leaf, and gets some points back for the Blood Wine.
Asali heads to the bank and tries to talk to a cardboard cutout she thought was a clerk for a moment. She uses the code on the back to open the safe for a good chunk of money. She goes to the wrecked site of all the buildings and almost dies twice to get a picture from a box.
When she leaves the wrecked buildings the street is filled with Bombignants and a ghost. She gets her hammer out just in case when a black creature kills all but one Bombignant. Asali assaults the humanoid shadow monster and smashes it to the ground.
She talks to the Bombignant and it dances for her. She asks the ghost about it, and finds out his name is Paul. (No, not Paul, it's Paul)! Paul, not Paul, requests help to write a letter to Mint. Asali agrees so Paul possesses her and writes the letter. Asali delivers it to Mint. Mint seems happy to hear from him, but jokes around the fact he is dead.
Asali then goes to HONEST IKIT'S and Trades her Bubble Dust and Rainbow Leaf for a Magic Jar and Necromancy Book. Asali then heads to the Gardens and gets pummeled almost to death by the Naviabull in the intersection. She then meets Queen Atasusa of the Fire Flowers in her cave. She is dying and her people are all gone by the black plague. She requests Asali's aid. Asali cannot figure out what to do so she takes the pine cone from the hollow tree trunk and leaves.
She races across the intersection towards the other side of the gardens and is stopped by a Flower Bouncer. Luckily Asali has the ticket from Dimitri and only needs to make one Mr. T reference. She then dances at the party and notices a cane hooked up near the ceiling of the flowers' cavern. She warps up, grabs it, and falls down to the floor without grace.
Chapter Five: Grave
Asali leaves the party and goes to the mountain. There is a gate missing wires and a fuse. She picks up the porn magazine on the ground. She check the flies at the garden entrance and leaves. She enters the graveyard, or attempts to. Asali is drawn into an insult battle with Gamma. With some difficulty she defeats him and gains access to the Grave Site.
She Gives him the picture and fixes his washing machine. The Washing Machine is apparently a female to Gamma, and is his only companion beyond yourself to a more recent extent. You are informed the area has been looted by Gamma, and that he can't fit down into the Mausoleum.
She then enters the Mausoleum and uses Pre-cognition. There are dials on the wall, a jar on a shrine slab, and a statue. Asali takes the circlet off the statue, moves the statue, picks up wires, and reads the Tablet. She then puts stuff into the jar to no avail. Eventually she solves the dial puzzle. She gets the medallion from its hidden compartment.
Even with all of the items she thinks she can't seem to summon Duke Hoppite the III. She tries saying his name a bit. Then she fiddles with the dials more. She removes the items from the jar, including a vial of blood she finds inside of it trying to get the rest of her stuff.
After some experimentation she pours the blood over the other items. The duke is summoned. He turns out to be an arrogant prick. Apparently the murderer mentioned in Nisha's office killed him. He asks for his whereabouts, and seems interested in revenge against the Shadow, explaining how dangerous he is.
Hoppite awards Asali the key to the treasure room. The room has a trapped treasure chest. With some help from her pre-cognition she manages to solve the death trap and leave with another chunk of money.
Asali goes to the forest. The forest is closed in on itself due to the biggest tree at the entrance being so angry. Angry Tree seems discontent with his pain and lack of brains. She convinces him that a decorated pinecone are tree brains. He seems pleased by Asali's offer, and is still angry and in pain WITH BRAINS. She wishes him an enraging day and goes deeper into the forest.
In the forest path Asali smells the fragrance from the tablets. She finds it by tripping over it. She goes towards the exit of the path and uses pre-cognition due to the noises Asali hears. Her vision suggests, "To the left." Asali is shot.
Chapter Six: Left
Asali was shot in the right arm because of the move to the left and is virtually unharmed. She can't figure out where the stealthy sniper is, so she teleports out right before being shot at again. In the new area she has some puzzles to solve, and proceeds to go left. She goes left a lot. In fact, she goes in a circle.
She solves a couple other puzzles, with some help from another vision from the strange black figure. She sticks her arm in the fire and it eventually hurts very badly. That was probably a bad idea. Asali finally gets a key to exit the circle.
She enters a strange sort of home. Inside is a feast waiting for her. She eats the food and goes to sleep in the bed. When the game returns to the audience, she is in bed after sleeping with a fellow who says his name is, "Nu." He also trains her psychic abilities up. After they are done with all that, he gives her a cloak, and takes the Rainbow Buster.
They go to the exit of the forest where a ton of Bandersnatches are sleeping. Bandersnatches are a very dangerous creature in the world, and he lights the firework and directs Asali to a tunnel out of the Forest. This is where she finds her frog, Mission. She solves a (broken) puzzle and leaves.
The strange landmark has nothing for her to do, and the Ice Cavern is blocked by a giant block of ice. Asali and Mission go back towards the forest.
Chapter Seven: Chasm
Passing through the shallow pools and having intermittent flashbacks along the way, Asali makes her way to the temple;wherein it is revealed that Eden does in fact think she is a derp.
Finally making her way back to Skraig's shop, Asali looks at pornography, initiates a snake fight and takes care of the pests under the shop and then returns home. Where upon she viciously maims her wall and decides to check her basement now that she has the key.
Chapter Ten: Darkness
Asali, sporting some serious crazy face, decides to check out her dimly lit basement. Finding spoiled food and a refrigerator sporting a combination lock. Asali decides that the most prudent way to solve this lock problem is to hit it with a hammer. Failing that, she finds the combination under a tablecloth next to the fridge. Upon unlocking her own refrigerator Asali receives her prize, a tentacle monster. Fortunately this is a problem that CAN be solved with a hammer(and copious amounts of crazy eye).
Making her way back to the chasm, Asali encounters a creature with a terrifying visage, so terrifying in fact that she opts to teleport to Ikit's shop rather than try and deal with it. While here, Asali obtains some alcohol for a perfectly HONEST price and opts to tour Ikit's not-quite-a-dungeon basement for where he evidently hosts animal fights. Placing the winning bet wins Asali just enough points to buy out the last of Ikit's stock. Out of the kindness of his heart Ikit decides to pawn off the winning animal on Asali, earning her free teeth to the face.
Next Asali stops by Mint's house to get hammered, drilled and have some questions answered. Learning a bit more about the current state of the island and the disaster that ravaged it Asali decides to put off a visit to the Marina anytime soon and visits the strange landmark instead. Upon using her pendant on it, it is revealed to be a pit trap. Go figure.
Chapter Eleven: Survival
Ahem, In chapter 11 we are introduced to a slew of new characters who shopped out of the bargain bin when buying their plot armor. They seem to have been thrown into a scary dungeon, built by an architect with a heavy handed opinion of what constitutes re-formative imprisonment(its filled with death traps). REALLY YOU SHOULD PROBABLY READ THIS ONE INSTEAD OF A CHAPTER SUMMARY.
This chapter stars:
Jasper: A bubble touched trap nerd in for unknown reasons
Nic: A bubble touched thrown in for conspiring against the king
Epsilon: thrown in for being Epsilon
Celzt: A blind bubble touched in for accidentally electrocuting something.
Jack: A former freedom fighter thrown in for being upsetting the peace.
Shula: A pangolin miner thrown in for rioting.
Chapter Twelve: Reunion
Next Asali takes the robot body to Gamma to see if he can fix it. She then takes a look at the Mariana, finding what appears to be a scary haunted-ass house with no immediate way to enter. She then tries the chasm again, where epsilon appears and offers some assistance. And so they head off to candy mountain (actually just up the mountain they're currently in).
Act 2
Chapter Thirteen
Epsilon, having gotten better after getting dead, is returned to the labyrinth. Whereupon he discovers the labyrinth is now under maintenance and that he is still nude. He chooses to amend this by accosting a maintenance worker and stealing his clothing, providing him with a cover to navigate the dungeon with less hassle. He then quickly puts this cover to the test by murdering an angry guard, molesting two other workers and then killing the Duke in front of an armed cadre of guards. Epsilon is then shot, shot, then shot ,shot once more, shot again and arrested. In jail epsilon opts to meet Shula when offered by the guards. Shula fills him in with the grisly details of what has happened since he departed and offers to carry his words to the rest of the group. After coming to an agreement Shula agrees to create a distraction in another part of town so epsilon can escape. Shenanigans ensue in the form of a candy dispensery, bank robbery and bank bomb threat while epsilon escapes. The dungeon crew, decides it is time to leave the island behind them, certainly now after having possibly committed multiple felonies, but not before Epsilon can feel up Celzt one last time. Tasked with strange goals from a possibly mad entity, Epsilon decides that it is probably time for not only a new disguise but to earn some money and settle in so he can do them uninterrupted. He sets course for the most legitimate purveyor of fine goods on the island, Honest Ikit, to seek work and also bargain for supplies. Predictably accepting a job to acquire 3 different nude photographs of women Epsilon sets out to the forest to camp for the evening, whereupon he runs into an old acquaintance (rather she runs into his security snare trap). Also predictably they have sex, earning his first nude photograph(of that particular month). Epsilon is then accosted by a soldier allegedly dispatched to find him and, upon discovering that Epsilon is not keen on being killed a third time, quickly apologizes by dying. This is followed by a brief dialogue with another party wandering the forest where it is revealed that another soldier sent to find Epsilon was dispatched by Mint Orach. Epsilon later goes on a date that goes particularly well, earning him his second nude picture and realizing that he is in fact a shapeshifter takes the third, earning him enough money to rent an apartment
(and also a dog)
(He's buying the dog, not renting it)
