Captain's Log, 5/31, 0901 hours
>It's always surprising to me to see a planet that has vegitation on it. Outside of terraforming, alien vegitation always puts me on edge. Having childhood allergies really puts the fear of what plants shoot into the air. I give the exploration teams credit for regularly making tips to the surface; they brave whatever pollens, spores, and mildew on the planet to conduct scans and gather data.
>Anyways, the science team has made another request for increasing shuttle trips to the surface. I told them, yet again, that I'm still obligated to monitor fuel reserves for the ship and shuttlecraft. I did this mainly because we're 6,000 light years from UTR space and that it would be a long drive home if we ran out of fuel; but secretly my paranoia for possible allergens they might bring up from the surface puts me on edge. The decontamination process we use does little to put me at ease.
>I know they have been excited ever since they discovered that cave, but I stand by my decision.
Captain's Log, 5/31, 1027 hours
>Sick Bay has notified me of a medical emergency that occured on the surface. Apparently there was an accident inside that cave, but details aren't currently available.
Captain's Log, 5/31, 1250 hours
>Doctor Llewelyn informs me that there are now two patients in Sick Bay undergoing observation, both comatose. He assures me, though, that for the moment both are stable. I advised him with the idea of returning to UTR space for getting these folks to better medical facilities. Llewelyn says he will continue to monitor the patients.
>Whatever's in that cave had damn well better be worth it.
Captain's Log, 5/31, 2000 hours
>Doctor Llewelyn approached me today in my office. He expressed concern for (ID93433)'s condition; apparently, his brainwaves are all over the place, moreso than those in a vegitative state. He also stated (ID93492) is stable, but efforts to revive her have been unsuccessful.
>Tomorrow I will inform the Science Team we are returning home. They will just have to put their discovery on hold until we can properly treat these folks.
>Sent transmission to Dispatch informing them of situation.

>Ship power distribution has suddenly become intermittent. Consoles will power off and on seemingly at random, lights will flicker. Engineering is investigating. Expecting a report at 0845.
Captain's Log, 6/1, 0910 hours
>Got my report from Engineering. They've ran a diagnostic on all power conduits, relays, and systems on the ship, and everything checks out fine. They are completely baffled as to why this is occuring.
>If this isn't further proof to head back to friendly space, I don't know what is. Will order Helm to lay in a course for UTR space as soon as the Engineers can get the FTL Drive back to capacity. Apparently the power issues did a number on the capacitors.
>It still surprises me a ship this old hasn't fallen apart already.
Captain's Log, 6/1, 1005 hours
>Just had an eerie conversation with Llewleyn and Ryan, Chief Engineer. Llewelyn informs me that the power spikes have coincided with massive neural activity for patient (ID93433). Ryan dismissed it as the power spikes interfering with the medical equipment, but Llewelyn stated the equipment isn't connected to the ship's power grid. I asked Llewelyn and Ryan for suggestions on what to do, and Ryan suggested (half-joking, I imagine) shooting (ID93433) out the nearest airlock. Llewelyn wasn't amused.
>Regardless, I'm doing whatever it takes to get this ship back home. Ordered Engineering to re-double efforts to restore FTL Drive. I also advised Llewelyn on a security detail for (ID93433) just in case.

>Head feels like it's in a vice. Asked Llewelyn for some aspirin. He advises at least half the ship is complaining of headaches, nausea, and vertigo. Work on restoring FTL drive is nearing completion, though almost the entire team is suffering from the same symptoms.
>Still no response from Dispatch. I keep making transmissions but there's no response.
>Hard to make this entry. And I swear I'm hearing someone whispering. The sooner we're back, the better.

Chief Physician's Personal Log, 5/31, 0813 hours

>Uneventful, as usual. Besides (ID93478)'s usual hypochondriasis, of course. I gave her some more placebos and sent her on her way. Reminder to refill on sugar pills during next supply request.

Chief Physician's Personal Log, 5/31, 1026 hours

>Recieved an alert from the surface. There was an incident of some sort. Prepping for medical and trauma care.

Chief Physician's Personal Log, 5/31, 1245 hours

>Two patients sent to Emergency Ward. Were in critical condition due to dangerously low heart activity and blood pressure. Currently stablilized.

>A nurse is calling me. Will return later.

Chief Physician's Personal Log, 5/31, 1934 hours

>(ID93433)'s brainwave activities are fluctuating rapidly, even while comatose. Keeping him under observation. Currently stable.

>(ID93492)'s condition is stable, unfortunately in coma. Attempts to revive failed. Keeping her in regular wards. She will need a transfer to a separate facility, one better equipped to bring her to, I hope.

---ENTRIES FROM 6/01 GRANTED---

Chief Physician's Personal Log, 6/1, 0754 hours

>Massive power outages all over. Backup power still supplied to medical equipment, thank goodness.

>Nurses calling me in panic. Will return later.

Chief Physician's Personal Log, 6/1, 0902 hours

>(ID93433) somehow disrupted all power. Multiple system failures. (ID93433)'s brainwave logs show intense brain activity coinciding with time of power disruption. Patient still comatose. Engineers want answers I can't give.

Chief Physician's Personal Log, 6/2, 8011 hours

>Multiple complaints of headaches and nausea today. Administered dimenhydrinate and analgesics.

>Feeling a bit lightheaded myself.
